At no point should your wedding feel like a performative production or a frantic rush to recreate Pinterest poses. I am a documentary photographer because I believe the unscripted truth of your day is infinitely better than anything we could fake or contrive. My camera covers the whole space. While you are busy being present, I am capturing the split-seconds happening around you, from parents sharing a quiet glance to friends celebrating in the next room. I document the faces, the real emotions, and the full reality of your day so you can look back and see what it truly felt like to live it. You get to live in the moment, and I’ll preserve the memories.

My practice is rooted in presence over performance. I provide a calm, grounding, nonjudgmental space that allows you to drop your guard. I don’t engineer the energy of the room, shout instructions, or force you into stiff, awkward poses. Thirty years from now, I don’t want you to remember a photographer’s voice. I want you to look at your album, feel the untouched memory frozen in time, and say, “I can still feel that kiss on my forehead.” I am a collaborative partner for couples who refuse to hand their wedding day over to a photoshoot.

    Amazing!!

    Caitlyn was so easy to work with and so organized. The portal she uses to share bills and information is very easy to use. She was flexible with scheduling and offered great guidance for day of scheduling. She is a great communicator and responds quickly. The day of she made the whole experience effortless honestly! Our photos turned out amazing, we loved the candid and more posed photos. It was great to have a good mix of each! Every wedding day has issues, our venue didn’t put out our chairs and Caitlyn totally rolled with it and took pictures while people waited for chairs to arrive. She’s also just a genuine person and truly cares about the people she’s working with. Would recommend her 100%.

    THIS is your wedding photographer!

    Besides saying yes to my husband, Caitlyn was the best decision I made for our wedding. I truly have no complaints - Caitlyn is easy to work with and exudes joy. From the start, communication was prompt and friendly - I clearly had no idea what I was doing, and Caitlyn helped me figure out exactly what I wanted our big day to look like. Her prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the quality of product we got. Our engagement photos, wedding photos, and reception photos are all high-quality, while also capturing real moments of joy / not looking overly "posed", which was a big concern of mine as someone who is very awkward in front of a camera. Our wedding was very small, so part of me was nervous about having a photographer there - however, Caitlyn's personality and kindness put everyone at ease, she fit right in! I cannot recommend Caitlyn enough - she will provide incredible documentation of your event(s)!

    I cannot recommend Caitlyn enough!! I've been so lucky to work with Caitlyn in the past through my sister's wedding (so I know how amazing she is and how fantastic her picture are), but working with her from the bride's POV was just as amazing! Everything from our initial inquiry with her, to our wedding day was seamless. Caitlyn had great communication with us; responding to emails within 1-2 days, checking in with us on the wedding planning journey, offering support and advice in all areas of wedding planning, even emailing to give updates on the wedding gallery editing process. My husband and I are just naturally very awkward people and had never taken professional photos together before. We were worried that our awkwardness would come out in the pictures/we wouldn't know what to do other than just stand and smile. What we loved about working with Caitlyn, was that she was just there as a fly on the wall capturing pictures of us as we were sitting and talking and laughing together. She would give us pose ideas and ideas to make each other laugh, and overall made us feel very comfortable in a situation where we would not typically feel comfortable. On our wedding day, there was probably 5-6 inches of snow on the ground; Caitlyn brought her snow boots with her to our wedding day and marched through the snow with us to give us the most amazing wedding photos! The snow pictures are by far my favorite pictures from our day. Caitlyn delivered a MASSIVE wedding gallery of so many fantastic photos! I feel as if she captured all the different moments of our wedding (e.g., getting ready, vows, first looks, ceremony, reception, etc) perfectly. I love all the photos of our guests from the ceremony and reception; with the day being so busy it's hard to talk to every single guest, but having these pictures is special because we know they were there and excited to celebrate with us. One thing I recommend to future brides booking with Caitlyn, is to schedule a meeting with her to sit down and make sure your shot list has all the necessary combinations. Our family photos are some of our favorite pictures, but when my husband and I were putting together our shot list, we forgot some combinations of people that we felt strongly about getting more 1:1 pictures with. A meeting with Caitlyn to discuss your shot list, will help to eliminate any opportunity for missed combinations. Overall, Caitlyn did a fantastic job capturing my husband and I from our engagement pictures, to the wedding day, but also capturing our relationships with family and friends through wedding day pictures (e.g., getting ready, reception, etc.). We plan to use Caitlyn to capture all of our best life adventures from here on out! :)

    Caitlyn Cloud Review

    Caitlyn is amazing! She made the process incredibly easy as a bride that didn't really know where to start the planning process. When I booked my package, I was provided wedding planning materials, recommendations, a timeline template, etc. Throughout the year Caitlyn checked in to make sure things were going smoothly, asked lots of questions in advance to make the day of easier, and was amazing at making last minute changes! Overall, Caitlyn captured my day perfectly, caught so many memories with my friends and family that I didn't even realize were happening or important at the time that I now love!

Typically, couples book me about 12-18 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
In my 5 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. If you'd prefer to have more control in who replaces me, I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
All of my clients receive sneak peek photos within 72 hours. For the full gallery, my turnaround time varies by season. Winter and Summer weddings will typically be delivered in 4-6 weeks. Spring and Fall weddings will typically be delivered in 6-8 weeks.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I do remove blemishes and distractions. But for anything extensive, like teeth whitening, removing a person, changing a background, etc, there is an additional charge.
My default payment schedule is: 30% up front, 35% midway, and the remaining 35% paid 30 days out from the wedding. If you need a custom schedule, we can talk and set one that works for both of us.
Your photos are beyond secure with me. I shoot on two dual-slot cameras so your photos go on two SD cards as I'm shooting. When I get home, I back up all of the photos to two external hard drives (that each live in their own protective case). One hard drive then goes back into my fire and waterproof safe. The main hard drive is backed up to a cloud storage system. That all might sound crazy or excessive but your memories deserve to be safe and secure!
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
There are a lot of buzz words out there for photography styles, the ones that most closely describe my work are documentary, journalistic, lifestyle. I would love to describe my style as observant. I take beautiful photos, but my real talent is in creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourselves and then documenting what I observe in that space. This is a collaborative process. I am not the photographer who will tell you what to do or how to stand. I am the photographer who will make your photos feel lived in because you did live that moment, you didn't pose for it.
