With more than 10 years of professional experience and over 60 weddings photographed and filmed, Chad blends candid storytelling with polished, guided portraits. Services include weddings, engagements, elopements, proposals, bridal portraits, rehearsal dinners, second photographers, albums, and videography. A lifelong New Orleans resident, Chad brings local knowledge and a relaxed, organized approach centered on “creative simplicity” — natural moments, flattering portraits, and timeless imagery.

What sets me apart is the combination of local experience, calm direction, and a style I call “creative simplicity.” As a lifelong New Orleans resident with more than 10 years of professional experience and over 60 weddings photographed and filmed, I know how to adapt to changing timelines, challenging lighting, second lines, and busy receptions. Most couples book 9 to 18 months in advance, especially for popular spring and fall Saturdays. Once your date and venue are secured, I recommend reaching out as soon as possible. Shorter-notice weddings are still welcome when the date is available.
Yes. My full wedding photography collections include a second professional photographer. This allows us to cover simultaneous moments, additional angles, getting-ready locations, guest reactions, reception details, and other parts of the day more completely.
Yes. Every image delivered in your final gallery is professionally edited and color corrected for exposure, color, contrast, cropping, and overall consistency. Additional detailed retouching may also be available when requested.
Yes. I offer professional wedding videography that can be booked separately or bundled with photography. Depending on the collection, coverage can include cinematic highlight films, professional audio, full ceremony and reception coverage, second videographers, trailers, and social media clips.
Wedding previews are typically delivered within 5 to 7 days. Final edited galleries are generally delivered within 2 to 4 weeks, although larger weddings or peak-season celebrations may take up to 6 weeks. Images are delivered through a private online gallery for viewing, downloading, and sharing.
Couples generally receive approximately 80 to 100 professionally edited images per hour of photography coverage. The final number varies depending on the wedding timeline, number of guests, activities, venue, and overall pace of the day.
Yes. Chad Populis Photography carries professional liability insurance. If your venue requires a certificate of insurance, just let me know and I can provide the necessary documentation.
In more than 10 years of professional experience, I have never canceled a wedding booking. I also maintain backup camera equipment and work with a network of experienced photographers and videographers throughout the New Orleans area. In the unlikely event that an emergency prevented me from personally photographing your wedding, I would make every reasonable effort to arrange qualified professional coverage in accordance with the terms of your photography agreement.
