Hi, I’m Stephanie, the owner of Dark Horse Photography in Connecticut. I’m also a full-time nurse, so helping people feel comfortable comes naturally to me. For weddings, I team up with Woody of Images by Woody. We bring different perspectives and a shared love for capturing connection, personality, and the moments that unfold naturally. My style is true to color with an earthy, moody feel, and I love pairing that look with the real laughter and emotion that make your photos personal. You don’t need to know how to pose—we’ll guide you, laugh right along with you, and make sure your photos feel like you.

Woody and I bring different strengths that work so well together. I’m drawn to storytelling—the movement, emotion, and little moments that connect it all. Woody brings an eye for light and crisp, clean images. Together, you get a mix of photographs that tell your story and portraits you’ll want on your wall. We balance each other out, make each other laugh, and love bringing you into that fun. We’re also organized and there to help throughout the day, so you can feel taken care of and enjoy every bit of it.

    Best Photographer Ever!!!

    Always have the best time with her photography sessions! Have done a boudoir session as well as an engagement photo & family pictures. Makes the experience so comfortable and easy going and boosts your confidence and smile from beginning to end. Already have a future plan with her for a couples session in a couple years. Would never think of going to anyone else for photos!

    Excellent

    Dark Horse Photography was excellent. Stephanie thought of everything and then some, going well beyond what we'd hired her for. She was fun and easy to work with, she made the whole day feel more relaxed. Her dedication and professionalism showed in every moment, and the final photos are amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we recommend her without hesitation!

    I had such a wonderful experience! She made me feel completely comfortable and at ease, which made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. She was creative, encouraging, and honest, and I really appreciated her guidance throughout the session. I felt confident and I’m so happy with the photos. I highly recommend her!
