Our goal is simple: to capture your vibe, your people, and your love in a way that looks and feels true to life. We just wrapped our 13th Chicago wedding season, and it's been a whirlwind of all things real and fabulous! Emma Mullins Photography embraces diversity and inclusivity. We are a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community and happy to serve humans of every background, gender and identity.

My hands-off, documentary approach allows couples to feel totally comfortable in front of the camera (it's the number one thing mentioned in our Reviews!).     So happy we booked Emma!

    We knew Emma from my brother's wedding, which she photographed, and we loved how friendly and easy to work with she was. We were thrilled to book her for our own wedding! She even offered to do engagement photos in San Francisco beforehand, which was a great touch and made us comfortable with her well before the big day. We got married at Cafe Brauer in Chicago, and the photos turned out incredible. She helped us feel completely natural and kept everything relaxed and fun. We couldn't be happier with how everything came out!

    Emma made our dreams come true

    We are huge fans of Emma! Here are 5 reasons she should also be your wedding photographer: 1. Emma is incredibly nice and was so generous with wedding organizing wisdom. She helped us feel more confident about the thousands of small details in the entire process, from our first Zoom meeting with her to the engagement photo shoot to the final shots on our wedding day 2. She is incredibly thorough as a communicator. We never had any question about what she needed or what she was doing before, during, or after the ceremony. And she was even very communicative via email with our moms(!) 3. She is so organized but also so creative. She kept our wedding day smooth by planning out all the posed shots needed, and she got all photos back to us in an always impressive timeframe. But she was also always open for a surprising shot or a little experiment. It made her work feel even more personal 4. She was a rock star on our wedding day, if you couldn’t tell. And she was a super fun hang during our engagement photo session, which featured Emma, my wife, and I improvising playful shots during a sudden rain storm(!) 5. Most of all, when she’s taking photos of you, her excitement in that moment fires you up more and makes you feel so comfortable. She makes you feel like your pictures are the best wedding photos ever taken. (But ours were, obviously)

Most couples book us 12-18 months before their wedding day. However, there are always exceptions! If you're getting married outside of that time frame, please don't hesitate to get in touch :)
Yes! I will often have an assistant with me on wedding days. If your coverage includes a second photographer, then at least two of us will be present during that time. Our team also includes a handful of talented Associate Photographers!
YES. Post-processing requires much time and attention. Each image in your gallery will be edited to artistic standards consistent with what you see on our web site.
Yes! We offer a variety of videography options. Inquire to learn more!
This depends on many factors, including hours of coverage, number of photographers, and when your wedding falls during the season. Your gallery will be delivered no later than 12 weeks from your wedding date. Often I deliver sooner than expected. Keep an eye on Facebook and Instagram for sneak peeks after your wedding!
Typically we deliver around 75 images per hour for both weddings and engagement sessions. Weddings with two photographers yield approximately 100 images per hour.
Yes! Happy to provide a certificate of insurance if required by your venue.
This is a great question! I will do everything in my power to photograph your wedding, but in an absolute worst case scenario where I cannot be there, rest assured that someone will be. Our Associate Photographers are fully trained in my style and ready to step in if needed. We belong to a strong network of photographers who are incredible (seriously - the best) about helping each other out in situations like this. I've been there in a pinch for others, and they'd do the same for me.
