I am a whimsical, cinematic photographer based out of Martinez, CA, a tiny town on the outskirts of the San Francisco Bay Area. My husband, Stephen, is a professional cinematographer who works alongside me for larger events. We love love. We have been together for 18 years, and built our artistic business together. It was me at first with a lot of love and support, but slowly he became passionate about it too. We want to provide the most fun day we can, and add some whimsy to your magical moment.

We are two silly people who believe having fun is at the forefront of life. We are cinematographers and fine art photographers and want to bring those skills to weddings. True to color yet soft, dreamy photos is what we love here. We want to tell your story like it's a movie. Your little romcom come to life.

    Great.

    Christa makes you feel so comfortable. And really listens to what you want your photos to look like. She takes the time to make sure she gets multiple shots and lets you do a quick review right on her camera. I've used her multiple times. She's my go to person.

    I love Christa!! An absolute dream

    Working with Christa was so much fun! She shot our engagement photos. Leading up to the session, she was so open and communicative and cared so much about what my vision was and how to achieve it! Then the day of the shoot I was so nervous, but when we met Christa, she greeted us with the biggest smile and so much excitement for us! Immediately all my nerves melted away and the session felt more like a fun shoot with friends than an “official” engagement shoot. She was so helpful in posing and made us feel comfortable and relaxed the entire time. Whenever we had pose ideas, even silly ones because my fiancé and I are just goofballs, Christa was so excited to do it, and it made our photos feel so genuine and uniquely ours. Next thing I knew, we were done! And boy was Christa quick with the edits. Would absolutely book a shoot with her again!

    Christa is the sweetest photographer out there ! She takes beautiful photos and made my day very special! I have booked her for multiple occasions and love the pictures every time. Definitely recommend!! 100/10!! She is flexible and can work at any given time or location. Super fast photo editing turn around as well!

    Perfect for romantic, soft fantasy vibes!

    Christa is always a delight to work with. I appreciate how supportive and calm a presence she is when something so personal as getting photos taken of yourself can be nerve wracking. I trust her to get my best angle and give gentle suggestions when a pose isn't working. She is very communicative and always on time for a shoot. Plus she delivers the photos so quickly and has a beautiful, dreamy editing style. Would definitely recommend to capture that special life moment!

I started out as a writer. I love stories. I love the art of it. All I've ever wanted to do was to tell stories. Then, I became a costumer + worked with some photographers who taught me that you could tell a story with more than just words -- but through photos. Not just through clicking a button. But with lighting and camera settings, with angles and playing with perspective. I have always loved photos. I didn't know just how empowering photos could actually be more than just holding a memory still in time until I worked with photographers who took all of my self-conscious thoughts + turned them into beautiful pieces of a larger story.
It's my job to pose you, to make you feel comfortable, and to find your best angles. The first few photos always feel a little awkward, but we always get into a groove and then you will find out it's not as scary as it seems. I am also a big proponent on showing you what you look like through my lens instead of making you wait until you receive the proofs. You may feel awkward, but in reality you look amazing.
I will do the occasional smoothing of the skin or fixing the hair for fly aways, but you are beautiful just the way you are and it's my job to make you feel that way. I don't do any body retouching at all aside from blemishes if you request. Your body is perfect and I will always do my best to help you pose in a way that makes you feel that way.
