I'm Jason, a wedding and portrait photographer based in Aptos, working from Santa Cruz through Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur. I photographed my first wedding in 2012 at a winery in San Diego and haven't stopped since. My approach is photojournalistic: I follow the day as it unfolds and catch the real moments, like the laughs, the nerves and the quiet in-betweens, with gentle direction where it helps. Couples tell me I'm easy to be around, which matters when someone has a camera on you all day.

Years of photographing live music taught me to work fast in changing light without asking anyone to slow down, so your reception gets the same care as your portraits. I know this coast well, from the redwoods to the Big Sur cliffs, and plan portrait time around sunset. I'm FAA-certified to fly a drone, so aerial shots of your venue and the coastline can be part of your day. Your photos arrive in 4-8 weeks in a private online gallery, ready to download.

    Jason is an incredible photographer! We hired him to take photos of my mother’s 80th birthday party in Aptos. His candid photos are great and his patience in organizing us for staged photos was amazing. He made my mom’s party very special!
