I cannot say enough amazing things about Kayla. Our experience with her as both our engagement and wedding photographer was absolute perfection from start to finish. Even her website and intake process set the tone — thoughtful, clear, and organized. Her phenomenal talent for capturing authentic moments is matched only by her professionalism, preparation, communication, sense of adventure, and genuine warmth. We first discovered Kayla when my fiancé tried to book her last minute for the proposal. She was already booked (thanks to his last-minute planning!), but he loved her style so much that he shared her work with me afterward. We reached out, filled out her inquiry form, had a “get to know you” call, and immediately knew she was the one. She selected the most stunning locations for our adventure engagement shoot — all while accommodating my fiancé’s recent injury and planning thoughtful backup options in case of bad weather. This was our first time ever taking professional photos, and Kayla made us feel completely at ease. She created this magical little love bubble for us, made us laugh, and turned the whole experience into an absolute blast — which meant genuine, beautiful, joyful photos. She even went above and beyond to meet our high-energy, reactive dog ahead of time so he could comfortably be part of the shoot. After our engagement session, there was no question who we wanted to capture our big Southern California NYE wedding — and the “just married” adventure shoot we planned on the ski mountain afterward. It had to be Kayla. For our 150 person wedding, Kayla and Pat made both of us feel relaxed and somehow like Vogue models at the same time. They put all of our family and friends at ease in front of the camera and managed group photos with such confidence, grace, and efficiency — even in the pouring rain! Kayla kept us on time, kept the energy high, and made it all so fun. They also celebrated with us on the dance floor, blending right in with our guests while still capturing every moment we hoped for (and plenty of artistic, unexpected shots we didn’t even know we needed). A few days later, Kayla met us on the ski slopes — on a windy white-out day — and still managed to deliver the most amazing “just married” photos, adapting to the weather, group dynamics, and our skiing abilities with ease. Truly, you’d be silly not to book Kayla. She is a rare combination of talent, heart, and positive energy, and we are endlessly grateful she was the one to document our story.

Incredible Shoot in Yosemite

Kayla and our second shooter, Pat, were absolutely phenomenal from the moment they showed up on our wedding day until they left. We were running an elopement style wedding up in Yosemite, Kayla helped move through our entire timeline that we had pre-determined with Kayla in a Zoom call a few weeks before the wedding. Having a second shooter with Pat was perfect, prior to us leaving our original location they split up to conquer all moments of our morning with the Groomsmen and Bridesmaids and eventually our first look. At the ceremony site, Kayla continued to ensure everything ran smoothly and our ceremony ran without a hitch and our photos were absolutely incredible. After we went down to the valley to a few locations she had pre-scouted right at sunset and the photos there were gorgeous. Can't thank Kayla and Pat enough for all the effort on our day.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Kayla! From the very beginning, she was incredibly thorough and thoughtful throughout the planning process, making sure every detail came out just right!. She helped James think through timing and logistics for our Yosemite sunrise engagement hike, which made everything feel easy and stress-free. She also went above and beyond to make sure we were able to capture the moment, arranging for Nicole to drive out to the park since Kayla was already booked that day. We really appreciated how much effort she put into making everything work out. The photos turned out beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier with how they captured this exciting time in our lives. Kayla captured my Convict Lake Proposal, and she was AMAZING. I loved her energy from our first call, her dedication to location scouting and walkthrough of the proposal logistics - Kayla was a true partner and more importantly, shared in our excitement as well. During the moment, Kayla not only captured the most special and intimate moments, but gave us time to enjoy the moment as a couple and really relish and reflect in the moment. She really let us embrace moments of whimsy and just enjoy the experience - despite us being awkward when taking photos. I would HIGHLY recommend working with Kayla - from planning to the day of - she was extremely collaborative and communicative - but most importantly, I picked her because her energy is contagious, and she truly is invested in the people she works with.

Kayla was amazing 100/10 She was our secret proposal photographer in Mammoth, more specifically in Convict Lake and the pictures she took are incredible. Even though I already loved her work, through seeing her pictures and galleries online, once our sneak peek and full gallery came, we were really amazed, they were absolutely stunning I knew she was a great photographer but even then, she blew my mind with those pictures. Through the process, she suggested some amazing spots, resolved all my doubts, attended to all my requests, guided me in the best way possible and gave some tips on the actual proposal, delivered the sneak peek and full gallery right on time, there is nothing I can complain about. She was the best at capturing our special moment, I cannot thank her enough.
