I'm a calm, old soul and have been photographing weddings since 2012. I live for capturing the genuine moments of two people in love on film & digital mediums. Our approach is documentary and photo journalistic. We're here for the unposed and in-between instances, the gentle touches and loving glances, the grand scene of the day, the quiet, close details, and everything in-between. Capturing love stories is an honor - thankful would be an understatement. When I’m not behind a camera, I am most likely spending time with family, traveling, walking too fast, or have my nose in a book.

I'm a calming presence focused on capturing couples with a documentary approach and making sure you enjoy your day and stay present. I'm a certified professional photographer educated in portraiture, fashion, and editorial photography with nearly 13 years of experience. We're experienced in 35mm and 120 film photography and integrate it in everything we photograph - we're a little obsessed with film.

Kearsten is the BEST!!!
sorry this review is only two years late but i truly could not let any more time pass without saying how incredible kearsten is. from the very beginning, kearsten was an absolute angel of a human and genuinely my favorite person we worked with throughout our entire wedding planning process. she made everything feel so easy, comfortable, and fun, and somehow managed to be both completely professional and someone who felt like a friend by the end of it. even two years later, people still bring up how wonderful she was and how much they loved having her there on our wedding day. and then there are the photos. i genuinely don’t even know how to put into words how much i love them. they are STUNNING. looking through them two years later still brings me right back to that day, and that is something i never could have imagined wanting more than anything. it’s not just that the photos are beautiful, although they absolutely are. somehow kearsten captured the actual emotions of the day. when i look at them, i don’t just remember what everything looked like, i remember exactly how i felt. the excitement, the nerves, the happiness, the little moments, the people we love, and all of the emotions that made the day ours are somehow preserved in every photo. there are so many moments from our wedding that i probably would have forgotten little details of over time, but kearsten gave us the ability to relive them whenever we want. that is such an incredible gift, and i will genuinely be grateful for it forever. if you are considering working with kearsten, stop looking and book her. i cannot recommend her enough. she is unbelievably talented, kind, calming, fun, and just an all-around wonderful human being. she was one of the absolute best parts of our wedding day, and two years later i still feel so lucky that we had her there to capture it all. kearsten, i’m so sorry this review took me TWO YEARS but please know that the fact that i still get emotional looking through our photos says everything about how incredible you are. we love you and will treasure these photos forever

Kearsten was a fantastic photographer for our wedding! We were looking for a kindhearted, creative photographer who could provide digital and film photos - Kearsten beyond delivered on that hope. So many of our friends and family commented on her professionalism and good energy that she brought to our day. She captured the perfect balance of getting ready photos, posed portraits, family photos, documenting our ceremony, and candid action shots throughout the reception. Dream wedding photographer
Kearsten is a dream wedding photographer. My husband and I had never done any kind of professional photoshoot together before she showed up the night of our rehearsal dinner. She immediately put us at ease and made us feel like we were just walking around with a friend. She blended in so well that we quickly forgot that she was even there! I wanted photos that felt like they captured real moments as they happened instead of a ton of portraits and posed photos. Kearsten captured this vibe perfectly and produced better photos than I could have ever imagined. To top it all off, she turned our entire rehearsal dinner and wedding albums around in 4 weeks. If you want natural, documentary style, beautiful film photos, Kearsten is your girl.

BEST DECISION!!
We hired Kearsten as our wedding photographer, and it was hands-down one of the best decisions we made. From our very first email coordination, she made us feel completely at ease and truly understood the vision we had for our day. Her calming presence and natural ability to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera made such a difference—not just for us, but for our entire wedding experience. We were especially excited to choose a package that included an engagement session a few months before the wedding. It gave us the perfect opportunity to get to know her and feel even more confident going into our big day. By the time the wedding rolled around, it felt like having a friend behind the lens. Kearsten (and her amazing second shooter—shoutout to Hayden!) captured every moment beautifully from start to finish. Somehow, they documented the entire day without ever making us feel like we were constantly posing for photos.
