Photography was super important to my husband and I and Penny exceeded every expectation we had. Her unique style is exactly what we were looking for and she caught precious moments throughout the wedding as well as captured the absolute must-have shots as well. She made sure the day was structured so that we got all the type of photos we wanted to have. She also was absolutely INCREDIBLE the day of the wedding and how comfortable she made everyone feel. She honestly felt like part of the group and was a huge hit at the wedding. I can’t recommend Penny enough. If you want photos that don’t look like everyone else’s and who can fit right in with your family and friends - book her immediately!

To put it lightly, I'm difficult to impress and often give a partial review that's neutral to express both the good and the bad. So when I say that Penny is a one of a kind photographer that you won't regret and will leave you going back to see your wedding again and again, I mean it. She's the only photographer I trust in the twin cities. From my engagement photos, to wedding, to maternity. Class act and dedicated service. Fun and energetic too.

Penny's photos are bar none the best photos we have ever received. Each of her photos is like a little portal into not only each moment, but how we felt in each moment of our wedding day. Holding back tears at the altar, the giddy excitement over the cake, and the sheer magic of the entire day was captured beautifully. You'll find in a lot of Penny's reviews that she captures emotion really well, and trust us, they are not joking. Her use of perspective, lighting, framing, and timing is unmatched. She is an absolute wizard with the camera! Penny gave us very good advice during the planning process of the wedding, making sure there was enough time for not only photos, but for all the little things we didn't even think about (such as a receiving line, signing our marriage certificate... even the cake cutting!). Her original schedule she drafted up during our first meeting was the core of what we made our final schedule around, and it was incredibly helpful. We even managed to fit in a photo opportunity with the Minnesota sign at the State Fair for our thank you cards! For structured photos, Penny was very good at shot calling and making sure everyone was in place, which is no small feat with our families and wedding party. We had a couple of extra photos we forgot to add to our shot list, and she was flexible to make sure we got every shot we wanted. She helped guide us and our loved ones through posing, and made sure to keep it fun and lighthearted in the process. On a 90 degree day, a laugh with Penny was well needed! For candid shots, you'll forget she's even there. Penny found ways to get shots we didn't even think were possible of moments we didn't even notice she captured. We had a live band playing, and she was equipped with ear protection to grab photos from multiple perspectives the whole time. By the time we got to sunset photos after a long day of fun, Penny still exhibited so much joy, hopping on the back of our getaway golf cart with all her gear in tow, ready to get the perfect shots. Even when the golf cart broke down, she still captured some heartfelt moments of us frolicking away before capturing one of the most beautiful photos we've seen. Her work is on another level entirely. The photos turned out amazing and brought us to tears. Very professional, amazing photography, and she was a joy to work with. If you need a sign to pick Penny, let this be that sign!

Penny was a great mix of fun and professional. She did the photos for our wedding in the Twin Cities and we were grateful to have her experience and energy. She contributed to making the day less stressful which is pretty big deal for a wedding. She captured the kind of in-the-moment feel we wanted for our photos. Thanks Penny!
