My style is distinct, a result of both my unrelenting commitment to my craft and complete trust from clients who commission me. You’re not going to read about any awards, badges, or “top 10 lists” because what matters is you’re in love with the work that you see and are ready to trust me entirely to do what I do. This trust drives me to find the perfect balance between creative experimentation and honest documentation.

This is my life's work, and I’m grateful to document your most important moments, while adding to the legacy of your family. If my photos resonate with you, I'm all in. I balance two intentions: first creating images which need no explanation, where the story, moment, and emotion is clear and powerful. Second is creating photos with a mystery behind them, where the circumstances aren’t obvious and imagination is left to fill in the story. Of course, weddings are about more than just creative photos of two people, and I can share full wedding galleries upon inquiry.

    Creative, Calm, Inspired & Intentional

    We were so thrilled to have Sam help us capture memories on our special day! From our engagement session to our wedding reception, and everything in between, Sam has such a warm and friendly presence that we were immediately put at ease and felt like we were with an old friend. His creative and artistic style was what immediately drew us to him. He’s got an amazing knack for scouting locations and backdrops that are unexpected and visually compelling.     Magical Wedding Photographer

    Sam captured the most amazing photos for our wedding. Photos that make you wonder “how did he even do that”. His work goes so much further than the clicking of a camera. His own artistic expression was a gift to the entire event. And the professionalism he brought forth before, during, and after the event makes everything very simple to track, purchase, and share.     The best vendor we booked hands down

    All I knew was that I was marrying my fiancé and that Sam was going to be our photographer. I didn’t care about anything else except that he was our photographer. The engagement session was so much fun! The day of the wedding was unbelievable. He’s so calm and professional. He answered all of my questions throughout the process quickly without getting frustrated. Lastly, his work is is just AMAZING! Highly recommend if you love bright colorful unique photos.

    The Best of The Best!

    Can't recommend Sam enough. Not only is his work some of the best I've seen and is well known around the world, but he is also just super chill to work with. He lets videographers do their thing and is very easy going with the couples and vendors he works with.

I go out of my way to make the experience of being photographed as comfortable and natural as possible. I shoot with as little equipment as I possibly can, and usually by myself. I make sure you never feel like you’re on display, or that it’s a huge awkward production of lights, light stands, and assistants everywhere. It’s just me, you, my camera, and a few lenses. I do bring experimental and vintage gear to play around with (and an entire backup kit), but I operate an efficient setup for any given situation.
Of course. I truly love family photos and candids throughout the day. I choose to emphasize creative couples’ portraits on my website to see if we are a good fit.
Anywhere. I’ve photographed in the Bahamas, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Italy, Mexico, France, Brazil, New Zealand, Spain, UK, Vietnam, Chile, Brazil, Australia, Peru, Italy, Poland, and more. Don’t let distance cause you to hesitate one bit, and I work with you to make sure travel isn’t too expensive.
