My goal is to work with couples that care less about the photos and more about the joy and celebration of marriage. I'm not there to have a photoshoot on your wedding day, but rather to celebrate the heck out of the two of you! When taking photos, I strive to capture every feeling of the day- to take you back to the smell of cake, the sound of the band in the background, the tears streaming down your face. I want you and your guests to be fully present and let me be the one to preserve those memories.

I'm lucky enough that the couples that choose to work with me somehow always become my friends. I show up at the wedding, not as another vendor, but as Shannon with a camera, and I think that helps create the most effortless photos. Because who likes having a camera in their face all day?? Thankfully, everyone I work with says that it feels like I'm just another guest there to celebrate them. And those make the best photos :)

So kind and professional!
Shannon McLaughlin Photography was exactly what we needed on our wedding day. From our first conversation through the final photos, Shannon stayed in touch through email, phone, and Zoom calls, making sure we felt supported every step of the way. She has this special ability to be both professional and incredibly kind at the same time, bringing a calm energy that helped me relax and actually enjoy being a bride instead of worrying about every detail. Shannon took charge of structuring the day and lifted so much pressure off my shoulders, which meant I could be present for all the important moments. Shannon is simply the best
Shannon photographed our backyard wedding ceremony so beautifully. We are so grateful for how thoughtfully she captured the emotions of the day -- so much love, softness, sweetness, silliness. We will cherish these forever.

My Go-To Photographer for EVERYTHING!
Shannon is hands down my favorite photographer I have worked with! I am semi-comfortable in front of the camera but my husband really hates it, and dreads taking photos for days in advance. Shannon instantly threw any of our nerves out the window and makes photo sessions fun and enjoyable for us both! She does a really excellent job of capturing our authentic, everyday interaction with one another. The photos don't feel staged or posed at all which makes them feel so special and true to us as a couple. We loved her so much after our engagement photos that she also took our Court Wedding photos and Wedding Portraits. We are also talking with her to take maternity and newborn photos as well :) HIRE SHANNON!

Capturing Magic!!
