Best Photomonger
My now-husband and I spoke to several photographers on the phone, but we both immediately knew Mandie was the one the second we hung up. Neither of us had ever done professional photos before (aside from being in other people’s weddings) and we didn't do an engagement shoot, so our wedding day was our very first time in front of a camera like that. Mandie made it feel totally natural and effortless. She is a true ARTIST. From the moment she walked through the door on our wedding day, it felt like having a close friend in the room. We had an intimate 12-person wedding in Newport, RI, and she blended in perfectly. She kept our day flowing seamlessly without ever feeling overbearing - she’s a complete master of her craft. Her creative vision is unparalleled, and her background in film gives every photo a timeless, natural quality rather than feeling forced. She also works so hard to get your photos / gallery back quickly, which was a total game-changer compared to what I’ve seen other couples go through. We also added her camcorder option, which we LOVED for home-video vibes. Having never planned a wedding before, you don't always realize how invaluable great vendors are until the day comes. I am so grateful Mandie fell into our lap—her photos and video truly keep the magic of that day alive. Honestly, I look through our gallery at least once a day LOL and whenever I look at other wedding photos now, all I can think is, "wow, these have nothing on what Mandie captured for us!" These photos literally mean the world to us. The BEST photomonger in the game. Not to mention she has a great heart, hilarious sense of humor and is just a good person. Grateful to be in her orbit! Don't think twice, just book her!!!

Mandie captured our day so beautifully.
Hiring Mandie as our photographer was one of the best wedding decisions we made! Her vision is unique and her photos are stunning; they’re exactly what we could’ve hoped for. She captured so many big moments and so many little details beautifully, and her photos really are a perfect representation of our day. We’ve had a ton of fun going through our wedding photos and picking out our favorites, each time finding new ones to love. Mandie is also so kind and funny and she was a delight to work with; she made us feel so comfortable and at ease. We’re so happy that she was there to capture our day!

Love and highly recommend!
Mandie shot our elopement in Garden of the Gods and was a total lifesaver when it came to planning. Our elopement trip was the first time I’d ever been to Colorado so I was planning this totally blindly but Mandie was able to provide so many recommendations and guide us through the day so seamlessly. We ended up behind schedule (by our own fault) and she still managed to get a beautiful array of shots between the hotel and the ceremony site. Even more amazingly, Mandie was able to return sneak peeks literally the same night because we wrapped up photography so early and we had our full gallery back in just a few short weeks. We chose to do two hours of coverage and I was worried it wouldn’t be enough time to get as many different shots as I’d wanted but our gallery is diverse and exciting. People literally come into my office at work to stare at the photos I’ve hung on my wall. Mandie, we can’t thank you enough for being such a dream to work with!

23' September surprise proposal
Where do I even start!?! I reached out to Mandie on a whim after I and my partner of three years planned our anniversary getaway to Colorado Springs. Not being fimiliar with that area caused some angst but not only did Mandie provide great ideas and suggestions she answered just about any question I had. The proposal could not have gone any better and remains one of my favorite stories to tell. Mandie captured raw emotions and delivered on every expectation I hoped for. She captured us in our most loving silly selves. The moments captured are very dear to our hearts.

Best Photographer Ever!
We ADORE Mandie. She is professional, witty, creative, whimsical, and someone you can let your guard down with! If you are a lover of natural elements, unique simplicity, and candid moments, I could not recommend hiring thistle and pine enough. Mandie incorporates her artistic voice and love for history into curating timeless photos. We truly loved our time with Mandie.
