Ashley (she/they), owner of Wide Eyed Studios, is a Philadelphia-based luxury wedding photographer. She specializes in engagement shoots, boudoir, rehearsal dinner coverage, elopement, local and travel weddings, as well as day after portrait sessions.     Wedding Photos

    Ashley was absolutely amazing to work with! She captured the most beautiful, incredible photos and gave us memories that we’ll cherish forever. Beyond how talented she is behind the camera, what truly stood out to us was how comfortable and at ease she made us feel throughout the entire day. Our day was crazy, emotional, and full of so many moments happening at once, but Ashley had this amazing way of helping us slow down, center ourselves, and remember to actually take it all in. She reminded us to be present, enjoy each moment, and soak everything up — and that meant so much to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. Ashley was not only incredibly talented, but also kind, calming, and such a wonderful presence on such an important day. We are absolutely in love with our photos and so grateful we had her there to capture it all!

    Incredible photos, amazing person!

    We hired Ashley to photograph both our engagement shoot and our wedding day, and we are so happy with that decision. In both situations she helped us feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera, helping us make the most of the time we had together. She was enthusiastic about our unique vision while making some thoughtful suggestions which we incorporated into our wedding day. Each one resulted in incredibly beautiful and creative photos, capturing small details and moments which we otherwise might not have noticed. Overall, we feel her work truly conveys the experience of our wedding, and it is such a joy to have those memories preserved!

    I've had the opportunity to work with Ashley on multiple occasions and cannot speak highly enough of her work and her whole *vibe*- which is easy-going, inclusive, and highly organized. All of her photos are high quality, easy to access, and captured all of our favorite moments beautifully.

    Witty, gritty, and vivid! We LOVE these photos.

    Ashley’s work on our post-wedding brunch yielded a huge batch of vivid, engaged photos. This was a 100-person event on an historic ship with the instruction to capture enduring images of family elders while celebrating our recent wedding. At the event, Ashley was expertly engaged, getting killer shots of squirrely kids, beloved cynics, and all the complexity of blended-family life. Ashley’s background in photojournalism makes her a witty observer, intuitively seeing story all around her, finding something genuine inside what might otherwise be awkward, moody, or chaotic. I couldn’t be happier with the resulting work. These pictures are alive! We gasped repeatedly when viewing them for the first time. We will be enjoying them for decades to come.

    An inspired photographer, delays delivering photos

    Ashley drove all the way up from Philadelphia to photograph our wedding in the Boston area. Her prices were quite reasonable, including the travel costs. She was a very pleasant and relaxed photographer, flexible in the face of uncertainty and complexity, and able to marshall children and adults effectively. Her street photography background lended itself perfectly for candid, intimate, dynamic images, which we were hoping to capture for our guests. Our wedding was on November 3rd, 2024. We received 1100 online photographs on March 29th, 2025, and a USB of all photographs around April 15th, 2025. So it took 20 weeks, 6 days for the full set of photographs. Ashley was able to get us several photographs on November 9th, 2024, which was a pleasant experience after the wedding. My wife was concerned that we might not get the photos from Ashley, as time went by and we could not contact her. During the winter my wife was contacted by another recent customer of Ashley's to ask if we had gotten hold of her and received photos, as the other customer had not yet and had been unable to contact her. The effort of calling, texting, or emailing her every few weeks with no or infrequent responses did become a bit of a chore for us. We're giving Ashley 4 out of 5 stars because the quality of her photos and her quality as a member of the wedding day does not deserve a lower rating. We just wanted you to know of the delay and lack of contact we experienced after the event. It might have been a temporary setback for Ashley, we can't tell from her communication with us. Good luck in your wedding planning!

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. Generally, as soon as you start talking to your venue about available dates, you should reach out to me as well!
Sometimes! I have a group of colleagues I've been working with for over a decade that I trust implicitly, who truly understand what I'm looking for and how I tell a story, and their presence can free me to be more creative and daring with what I try to capture.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for temperature, exposure, and contrast to ensure they look beautiful. I also remove blemishes or stains on clothing, because no one needs to remember those things!
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors. I work to capture as much as possible in the time given!
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
