Eliza Bernstein is the owner and lead planner behind Canopy Events. With a decade of experience in the event world, including planning, rentals, bridal, and venue operations, she has a practical, people-first view of what makes the day-of feel effortless… and the planning process way more fun than you expected.

Her career in events started in Los Angeles, working with a well-known planner – and right away, she was hooked! She loved the energy, the creativity, and the behind-the-scenes magic seeing months of work turn into one incredible day. She went on to work in event rentals, manage bridal salon locations, and become an in-house planner for a North Carolina wedding venue. That mix of experience is the heart of how she works now. She knows how to look at an event from the couple’s side, the vendor side, and the venue side at the same time – which means she can help you make decisions that work in real life, not just on paper.

Full Service Planning & Design requires a minimum event budget of $75,000

The Partial Planning Package is designed for clients who feel confident in booking their own vendors and making initial decisions, yet seek extra guidance and recommendations during the planning journey.

    Eliza is the absolute best! She made wedding planning fun and relaxing, and was able to connect us with vendors in our price point that made our wedding vision come true. Great communication and organization, all while making planning enjoyable and easy. I had never planned an event this large before and was worried it would be stressful, but with her help it wasn’t at all and everything went over perfectly - even managing the schedule of the day without a hitch after my dad lost his tuxedo pants right before our first look and family photos (there’s always something haha). 10/10!

    Eliza is an incredible wedding planner! I truly don’t think our wedding day would’ve been as perfect as it was if it weren’t for Eliza. She made sure the day ran smooth, took care of every single detail, made us feel special and still checks in on us now - a year post wedding! I will gladly have Eliza plan another life event for us!!

    Eliza is amazing! From our very first call, she paid attention to every detail and completely took the stress out of planning. On our wedding day, she handled absolutely everything behind the scenes so my husband and I could simply enjoy every moment together. We got to be full present on our wedding day. Her calm demeanor, quick thinking, professionalism, and dedication made all the difference throughout the planning process AND the wedding day (there were even a couple hiccups on our wedding day that we didn’t know about until AFTER the fact because she handled them without hesitation.) I truly felt like she prioritized us having “the best day ever.” Thanks to her, our day felt effortless and was better than any dream wedding I could’ve imagined. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend her without hesitation.
