Joan Day has been planning events since 1996. She established Joan Day Weddings in 2007 while living in Northern Virginia, and has assisted clients in The Carolina's and the Washington, D.C. Metro area ever since. Joan lives in South Carolina with her family. Her team primarily services the Midlands, Upstate, and Low Country areas of South Carolina, but will plan events out-of-state upon request.

JDW loves a great love story. Love expressed through hospitality is one of our favorites!     The best day of our lives!!!

    Joan was an incredible wedding planner, and I would highly recommend her! She was professional, organized, and always available to help with any questions I had. She helped me make decisions about the décor and truly brought my vision to life. I especially loved the planning tool she used as a single source of truth for everything wedding-related. It made it easy to track what had been completed, what still needed to be done, and what was coming up next. Wedding planning can feel overwhelming, but Joan kept everything organized, made sure I stayed on schedule, and took away so much of the constant stress of wondering what I might be forgetting. Joan was also so easy to talk to and was always a calming presence throughout the entire process. Our wedding day went incredibly smoothly thanks to her. You can tell she has years of experience and knows how to handle any situation or pivot quickly when needed. We are so grateful for everything she did to make our day so special!
