I am a wedding day of coordinator who is passionate about making your best day ever seamless and stress free! I am great at problem solving and filling in any gaps to where I am needed for your special day. I will ensure that you and your family and friends can relax and enjoy the celebration while I maintain the good times. I am your go to person for your day so no loved ones are working for your wedding.
I work at a wedding venue now so I have learned a lot more about behind the scenes than most coordinators will ever even see! I have first hand training from one of the best in the wedding industry. I’ve been coordinating at this venue for 4 years and now would like to branch out to help couples all over Michigan at any venue of their choosing. It is my passion to be a couples biggest advocate on their best day ever.

You need a Marissa!
We hired Marissa to help with our day of coordination for a micro wedding. It was easily the best decision we made. Marissa was available for any and all questions leading up to our day whether it was vendors or timeline. Easy and quick communication. As we got closer to the big day, Marissa created a detailed timeline, shared this with all of our vendors, and jumped on a few calls with our other vendors so she could stay in the know. In the best way possible - on our wedding day, I barely saw Marissa for majority of the day. She arrived and began working on setting up decor, preparing appetizers and desserts, greeting our other vendors and helping them situate themselves. She ran the show and I was able to enjoy getting ready with my friends. I didn't have to make decisions or solve any fires. She handled it all! Once the ceremony was over, she helped us and photo/video with a golden hour photoshoot, communicating with the DJ for our grand entrance, and more. She was there from the start to the end. We cannot recommend Marissa enough!!!

The BEST Decision We Made for Our Wedding Day!
Hiring Marissa was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our very first call, communication with her was so easy and comfortable. I honestly knew about 10 minutes into that first conversation that she was the one for the job, and I couldn’t be happier with our decision. Although we hired Marissa as our day-of coordinator, she started helping us about three months before the wedding, and she immediately became such an invaluable part of the planning process. She was incredibly proactive and jumped right in with our vendors, making sure everyone was on the same page and taking so much off of our plate. Our wedding day started extremely stressful, with rain threatening to completely change our plans and causing a major delay in setup. A lot of things that we had hoped would already be completed by the time Marissa and her team arrived suddenly fell on them instead. Despite all of the unexpected challenges, she and her team handled everything with such professionalism and determination. Marissa took my vision, adapted to everything that was thrown at her, and somehow brought it all to life exactly the way I had imagined it. By the end of the day, I truly couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. Knowing how much she and her team had to take on behind the scenes made the final result even more incredible. Her hard work, dedication, attention to detail, and willingness to step in wherever she was needed made such a huge difference. I can’t recommend Marissa enough. She was not only an amazing coordinator, but someone we felt completely comfortable trusting throughout the entire process. If you’re considering hiring her, do it — you will be so grateful you did!

Words truly can't describe how fitting the name "Joyful Moments by Marissa" is. We originally hired Marissa as our day-of coordinator for the reception, but from the start she was willing to do so much more. She was there for our rehearsal, helped organize our ceremony, decorated the reception space, and constantly went above and beyond anything we expected. What really amazed us was when our original reception venue unexpectedly closed just a few weeks before our wedding. Marissa immediately jumped in and helped us find a new venue that fit both our vision and our budget. In a moment that felt incredibly stressful, she made us feel completely supported. Marissa has such a laid-back, calming presence, which made the entire process so much more enjoyable. No matter what came up, she made everything feel manageable and kept us focused on celebrating our day. Not only did we feel special, but our guests did too. We received so many compliments about how beautiful everything was and how authentically "us" the day felt. Thank you, Marissa, for helping us fully embrace our culture, our family, and our friends throughout the entire process. Before hiring Marissa, we prayed for a guardian angel to help guide us through wedding planning, and that's exactly what we got. We truly can't recommend her enough. She made the whole experience so enjoyable that we'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Working with Joyful Moments by Marissa felt like partnering with a friend rather than just hiring a planner. From our first conversation, she was quick to respond to every question and gave us thoughtful advice that made the planning process feel manageable instead of overwhelming. On our wedding day, when a medical emergency happened, Marissa and her team handled it with such grace that our guests barely noticed anything was off—everything kept flowing perfectly. She managed every detail with us, whether it was coordinating with vendors, setting up the bar order or making sure the ceremony ran exactly as we imagined. We got so close to Marissa throughout the planning that saying goodbye after the wedding actually felt like a breakup! lol Honestly, we can't recommend her enough.
