Conveniently located between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, and within reach of Chicago and Detroit, Bay Pointe overlooks the beautiful islands of Gun Lake and offers three distinctive event venues: the Lakefront Pavilion, BoatHouse Villa and Bay Pointe Woods. As an all-season destination, our experienced events team specializes in everything from vibrant spring weddings and elegant summer celebrations to twilight autumn gatherings and cozy winter events. The Bay Pointe wedding promise is to make your special day amazing from the time you, your wedding party and guests arrive.
A unique waterfront setting for your dream wedding located on the water with seating up to 200 guests with over 3,000 square feet of adjacent lawn space. The space is surrounded by lush landscaping, a variety of perennials and seasonal flowers and features an outdoor gas fireplace, patio, gas torches, granite bar, ceiling mounted gas heaters, and clear sides we lower in the event of inclement weather to ensure total guest comfort.

All of nature’s natural beauty is brought to life and embraced in a single venue at Bay Pointe Woods, exuding sophistication, exquisite cuisine, and exceptional service — making it the ideal wedding venue.

BoatHouse Villa

Steeped in history and lavished with innovative updates, this exquisite Gun Lake Estate boasts 125’ of all-sport lake frontage. Built in 1886 this 5,000 sq. ft. ageless-beauty is comfortably elegant, magnificently custom, and totally endearing. When hosting an event at the BoatHouse Villa, the ceremony, patio and courtyard setup for the day of your wedding is included in the rental fee.

The Villa sleeps 15 with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths a loft and gourmet kitchen. The spacious furnished balcony offers sunrise and sunset views. The covered lakefront veranda offers a firewall and private dock. Game room has a pool table, shuffleboard table and bar, a second outdoor cabana bar is in the fountain courtyard. The grounds feature beautiful flower gardens and guests have access to all Bay Pointe Inn resort amenities.
Fireside Banquet Room
A flexible all-season venue
The Fireside Banquet Room is a perfect indoor space for intimate weddings, rehearsal dinners, and a variety of social functions, seating capacity is up to 60 guests and features a grand 12’ fireplace and adjacent lakefront patio. An iPod docking station, portable bar, kitchenette, hand-held microphones, surround sound, a 144” drop down screen, ceiling mounted LCD-HD Projector, and free Wi-Fi is available.

Best wedding venue!
From our first email to the moment we left, Bay Pointe made planning our wedding feel effortless. The team responded to every question within a day with detailed, honest answers that never left us guessing. The outdoor space itself was stunning and spacious, but what really set them apart was how they let us make it our own while still shining on its own. Emma, our day-of planner, was constantly looking for ways to make things better for us, and the complimentary suite meant our families could stay close and celebrate with us all night. Getting to know the venue the night before—swimming, eating together, and sitting by the fire in the cabins—made the whole experience feel like a retreat, not just an event. We can't wait to return every year to celebrate our anniversary at a place that truly felt like home.

The Best Day Ever/Best Venue
If you are ever seeing Bay Pointe and wondering if you should tour/book, do it. They have the most incredible venues, staff, and food. Our point of contact, started with Ashley who gave us a tour and began the process! Then throughout the planning process, Juno Ford was one of the most organized and wonderful people. She filled us with ease in the entire wedding planning process, always answered any questions we had, and was so organized and thorough. Gabe was our day of coordinator through the venue and was incredible (even brought us out our meal to our sweetheart table ahead of time and was always checking in on us). Bay Pointe truly made the planning process stress free from start to finish. The Bay Pointe Woods venue in September was truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to for a wedding, we were in awe at the beautiful flowers and the entire venue is just so well kept, you can tell a lot of hard work goes into that! I think the price point is well worth the investment, and we chose a Saturday in peak season knowing this! Can’t recommend them enough!

Bay Pointe Inn is THE spot!
When I first visited Bay Pointe as a potential wedding venue, I actually ended up shedding a couple of tears. I had this immediate feeling that this was the place I had to get married. Not only is the venue, absolutely beautiful and speaks for itself, but it made me feel like the wedding I dreamed of as a kid on the lake could come true. Working with the staff was such an incredible experience. They were extremely communicative on when deadlines were due, recommendations, and answered any questions that I had. I would highly recommend looking into Bay Pointe as a wedding venue because of the many options that they provide. Not only are there a couple of venues on site, but they provide great food, options, desserts, vendors, and more! Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and we would not change a thing and that is all thanks to our beautiful venue!

Bay Pointe Inn Lakefront Pavilion
We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Bay Pointe Lakefront Pavilion. From our first conversation, the team was responsive and genuinely interested in helping us plan our perfect day. They gave us plenty of time to set up and provided a dedicated event supervisor who guided us through every detail, which made the whole process feel manageable and stress-free. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and their service was worth every penny. If you're looking for a lakefront location with a staff that truly cares, this should be at the top of your list. We're so grateful for how they made our wedding day special. Our day was truly perfect and this venue was the reason why!

We just had the most beautiful wedding over the weekend at the lakefront pavilion. Bay Pointe’s staff did an amazing job and the communication over the last year and a half was much appreciated to make our wedding go perfectly.
