About this venue

Just one hour west of Houston, BlissWood Ranch is a romantic Texas wedding and elopement venue set on 350 private acres in Cat Spring. Couples can exchange vows at the Gazebo at Enchanted Lake, beneath centuries-old live oaks, beside the natural live oak arch, or at the rustic Show Barn. Curated packages are available for private elopements, intimate weddings, micro weddings, and vow renewals with up to 25 guests. On-site cabins and guest houses allow couples and their loved ones to relax, celebrate, and stay together in the peaceful Texas countryside.

Exchange vows beneath the sweeping branches of our centuries-old live oak trees. With their graceful forms and textured trunks, the Oak Grove provides a stunning natural backdrop for a ceremony surrounded by beauty and shade. The open space beneath the canopy is ideal for hosting an elegant reception in the same serene setting. Please note: Booking the Oak Grove for your event requires reserving the Lehmann House as well.

A Lehmann House reservation is required. The house has four bedrooms and sleeps up to eight guests, with one queen bed and six twin beds that can be converted into three king beds. It also includes two bathrooms, one with a jetted tub, a full kitchen, and pet-friendly accommodations.

Weddings, elopements, group retreats, and other events are subject to the cancellation policy provided in the couple’s booking correspondence. All event deposits are non-refundable. We recommend purchasing independent wedding or event insurance to help protect against unforeseen circumstances.
Guests can enjoy self-guided ranch walks, hiking and biking on the ranch roads and trails, birding, and viewing BlissWood’s many ranch animals. Additional activities available by advance reservation include horseback riding, animal safari and feeding tours, archery and axe throwing, trap shooting, catch-and-release fishing, kayaking and canoeing, and the Ranch Winery Experience. We recommend reserving activities in advance.
Special holiday pricing and a 30% surcharge may apply to wedding packages and photography scheduled during holidays, Valentine’s Day, spring break, and special-event weeks. Package pricing is valid for reservations made during the current calendar year, so please inquire for future-year pricing.

Yes, couples may bring their own alcohol. Alcohol service is not included, and a certified bartender must be arranged if alcohol will be served during the reception. BlissWood wedding packages include a complimentary Champagne toast, with the amount included varying by package.
Yes, BlissWood Bed and Breakfast Ranch offers free self-parking for guests. Please stay on the interior ranch roads whether you are in your own vehicles or golf carts. Driving off the roads or in the pastures puts you at risk for getting stuck, wet or dry, as we have sandy soil. If you do get stuck, a wrecker will need to be called to assist you, and you will be responsible for the wrecker’s charges.
Due to the historic nature of several BlissWood accommodations, the property is not fully ADA accessible. However, with advance notice, the Magnolia Suite, Lehmann House, StarView Cowboy Cabin, and Mystic Woods Cabin can accommodate guests needing wheelchair assistance. Nearby parking is available, and an entrance ramp can be secured when needed. Please contact BlissWood before your visit to discuss specific accessibility needs.
Couples are responsible for obtaining their Texas marriage license. In most cases, Texas requires a 72-hour waiting period after the license is issued, and the license expires on the 90th day after issuance. A Texas marriage license may generally be used anywhere in the state. Exceptions to the waiting period may apply, so couples should confirm current requirements with the county clerk issuing their license.
Yes. You may choose the color of your bouquet from the roses available through BlissWood’s florist. Special-order flowers may be available for an additional charge.
The package includes a white cake with buttercream frosting. If you desire a custom cake, there is an extra charge.
The Gazebo is our most popular ceremony site and very picturesque; however, you may choose from other sites available at our Texas wedding venue.
