About this venue

Located in the idyllic Glenwood Springs, Colorado, The Overlook is a nature-inspired indoor/outdoor event venue complete with state-of-the-art modern amenities, nestled in the idyllic Glenwood Canyons. Here, the Colorado River flows beside the property providing a backdrop for our three riverside ceremony sites. The Overlook’s Terrace affords hosts and guests with one-of-a-kind views of the Canyons and Colorado River. Hosts and guests have extensive accommodation options from which to choose: Suites to Cabins to Glamping Tents to Sprinter/RV Sites. Situated between the Aspen and Vail Valleys, it is an inherent hub for nearby activities and adventures with rafting, e-bikes and hot springs being among the most popular. Couples gravitate to us for the sheer beauty of the view, couple-centric customization options, the quality time that we afford hosts and guests, accessibility to airports and regional activities and flexibility with vendors and partners.

The Overlook Great Room

Your quintessential event enclave along the Colorado River in the heart of the Valley between Vail and Aspen.

This elegant event space comfortably accommodates 125 seated guests. It has gorgeous wooden floors and neutral decor which makes it easy to decorate to your specific needs. The Overlook Indoor Event Center has 4 custom sets of large sliding glass doors that slide into the wall to allow guests to have an indooor/outdoor experience with the NO NAME Outdoor Terrace, if and when desired.

Best Wedding Venue
We had the opportunity to work as a bartending vendor at Glenwood Canyon Resort, and the entire experience was fantastic! The property and surrounding scenery are absolutely gorgeous and make for an incredible mountain setting. The entire team was extremely kind, welcoming, and easy to work with from start to finish. Glenwood Canyon Resort is definitely worth checking out. We hope to be back again soon!

Stunning Riverside Setting
We had the chance to DJ a wedding here recently and it was absolutely gorgeous. The ceremony takes place right down by the Colorado River, which creates a really special, intimate setting with the water and canyon walls all around you. From there, guests head up to the reception area on the terrace, which overlooks the river and mountains—such a cool transition and a great way to separate the spaces. The patio setup for dinner and dancing is beautiful and feels very “Colorado.” Overall, it’s a really unique venue that combines a true outdoor experience with a polished reception space. Jenn and the team have facilitated multiple activity options for large wedding groups, making everything seamless and convenient by having it all available on-site – including complimentary shuttle service to and from the Resort to Defiance Rafting's HQ.
