Mother Of The Bride
We experienced an exceptional ceremony and wedding reception at this property for our daughter and son in law the first weekend in April 2025. The view from the property is beautiful and the hotel resort beautifully kept, being situated on the Sanibel Harbour with two pools and beach. The service by all employees was personal and exceptional, including the Event Coordinator Joanne and Room Coordinator Jordan. The destination wedding was attended by approximately 180 guests, most of whom stayed at the Marriott Resort, from across the US, Canada, and several South American and European countries. Without exception, all of our guests raved about the beauty of the venue, the delicious food, their comfortable rooms, and the personal service of the employees. The valets were prompt and friendly, and the reception check in desk employees efficiently managed handing out scores of welcome bags we prepared for guests. The Wedding Gathering party on Friday night was held outside on the Cove Patio overlooking the Harbour with a happy hour bar and dinner. Lights overhead were a magical touch, and we had room for a small combo to perform while guests ate deliciously prepared Latin themed dishes, and then danced a bit in anticipation of the wedding and reception the next day. The Wedding Ceremony was held in front of the pool deck of the more privately located pool so that the guests could look out over the beautiful horizon when the couple was married. The cocktail hour was held inside adjacent to the Everglades Ballroom where the reception was held. The ballroom was a beautiful space with chandeliers, a view of the water at one end, and accommodated not only all of the guests, but also a DJ and 9 piece Latin band, a large LED viewing screen, and a lighted dance floor. We chose the premium package for a banquet buffet with two stations serving dishes including chicken and fish, and carving stations for prime rib. Everything for the night ran smoothly with attentive servers. Many guests told us this was the best wedding they had ever attended. The bride was always given special attention, including a complimentary neck massage as she and the other women in the wedding party were getting ready in a room conveniently close to the ballroom. The hotel accommodated us bringing in our own hair and makeup artists, and they served breakfast and lunch while the women were getting ready. There were ample areas on the property where the photographer could take "first look" photos before the wedding as well as other photos during the cocktail hour. And a special shout out to Joanne the Event Coordinator who made the extra effort to pick up a shirt from a Black Tie Tuxedo shop nearby in Fort Myers that we had to order at the last minute for the father of the bride after we discovered shortly before the wedding ceremony that it had not been packed! We have wonderful memories and a special place in our hearts not only of the wedding celebration itself, but also for the place and people at the Marriott Sanibel Resort.

We had a wonderful experience working with Sarah to plan our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding at the Sanibel. With only three months to plan, her responsiveness, flexibility, and calm approach made everything so much easier. She was always helpful, accommodating, and quick to find solutions, even with last-minute changes. We are so grateful for her support and highly recommend Sarah and the Sanibel Harbour Resort team!
