About this venue

We are so excited your wedding venue search has brought you to us. Having years of experience in the wedding industry when we owned Rustic Bride Wedding Rentals, it’s been a dream come true to now own a wedding venue. The last six years have been dedicated to renovating the inside and outside of the barn to ensure you get a beautiful rustic venue along with modern state approved amenities. We were married in 2013 and now have three beautiful daughters and a little boy. We love the outdoors, working on projects together, and spending time with our family and friends. When you book your wedding at Poplar Creek you become a part of the barn and its history. Your initials and date can be burned into the walls and you become apart of the family. We look forward to meeting you soon and helping you plan your dream wedding.

The upper barn is the perfect rustic space for your barn wedding.

Open concept barn boasting 22 foot tall cathedral style ceiling. Rustic farmhouse tables and chairs included with your rental. Bathrooms right off main hall. Beautiful rustic bar with licensed bartenders. Spacious outdoor deck with handicap ramp. State approved.

    From our first email to the day of our wedding, the team at Poplar Creek Barn was responsive and easy to work with. They answered our questions quickly and seemed genuinely invested in making our day special. When our caterer ran behind schedule, they didn't hesitate to run to the store and grab anything we needed so we wouldn't have to stress about it. That kind of problem-solving and flexibility made all the difference when things didn't go exactly as planned. The venue itself is beautiful, and the staff's willingness to go above and beyond really sealed the deal for us. We'd absolutely recommend Poplar Creek Barn to any couple looking for a reliable partner in planning their wedding.

    Poplar Creek Barn is a lovely and unique venue! There is so much to do that our guests were all over the place, letting them be in big groups on the dance floor as well as smaller more intimate groups around the fire pit. Highly recommend the decor package as they have so much to choose from! We got a lot of compliments about how we put everything together and it was almost entirely from them and their coordinator was the one to make it look great all together. Everyone we worked with, from the coordinator to their bartenders, were so friendly and just wanted to make sure we had a great time at our wedding and it went how we wanted it to! Excellent experience. And our pictures turned out beautifully thanks to both our excellent photographer and how beautiful the venue was!

Our max capacity is 299. There is a specific seating plan for maxed out weddings. 275 or less is more comfortable.
We do NOT enforce a bar minimum. Poplar Creek has a liquor license and a full service bar with licensed bartenders included.
We ask for a 50% non refundable retainer/deposit to book.
Yes, we do allow pets. Contact us for more information on our pet policy.
Yes. Starting in 2025, we are now booking winter weddings and events.
We do not have AC. However, we have large barn doors for natural circulation, ceiling fans, wall fans, and industrial fans which help cool the barn in the summer months.
Yes, we have a handicap parking, a handicap ramp and bathroom accessibility which meet state code.
Yes, guest may leave vehicles overnight. All vehicles must be moved by 10am the following morning.
We do not have any catering restrictions. We do not have a preferred vendor list. We are more than happy to suggest vendors that have done a wonderful job in the past that other couples have been happy with.
Yes, we do allow you to come on the property for a rehearsal. Saturday weddings may come and do a short rehearsal on Friday during the Friday weddings dinner while everyone is in the barn.
No, Poplar Creek Barn has a liquor license and state law prohibits any carry ins.
Yes. We offer a $250 military discount to brides or grooms in the military. Thank you for your service!
Yes, we have rustic wood benches for up to 250 and an arbor/arch available to use for weddings at no extra cost. Additional rentals available for a fee.
Yes, the ceremony can be up in the main reception hall. The lower level can be used for cocktail hour while tables get rearranged for dinner.
Yes. Dj and bands are both allowed. All DJs and live band music must end at midnight. We have our own speaker system that can be played after midnight, if needed.
Yes, we have a men’s and women’s room off the main reception hall. The bridal suite has a private bath and shower. There are two unisex outdoor access bathrooms on the main level.
Yes, we have a main parking lot, a back parking lot, and additional grass parking if needed.
Yes. We do host other events Sunday-Thursday. Our minimum rental during the weekday is $1000 plus WI state tax. Contact us for more information.
