About this venue

Poplar Hill is a 100 acre farm that was built in 1790. The home is surrounded by mature landscape with English boxwoods and crepe myrtles that are 100 plus years old. Every couple and family that comes to Poplar Hill tell us that our pictures do not do it justice! We take pride in the care of the house and grounds and cherish the opportunity to share it with others!

    Beautiful Venue, but Communication Could Improve

    I truly could not have imagined getting married anywhere other than Poplar Hill Farm! The venue is absolutely beautiful and has the perfect country-chic atmosphere. From the gorgeous scenery to the rustic charm, it was everything I envisioned for our wedding day. Looking back at our wedding photos, I am even more in love with our decision to get married here! With that being said, I do think there are some areas where improvements could be made, particularly when it comes to communication and event management. While the property itself is stunning, communication with the owner could have been better throughout the planning process. I genuinely believe the venue would benefit tremendously from having a dedicated property or event manager who could serve as a consistent point of contact for couples planning their weddings. Despite these challenges, our wedding day was absolutely beautiful, and I will always cherish the memories we made at Poplar Hill Farm. It truly is a special place with so much potential, and I hope to see the management side continue to improve so future couples can have an experience that is just as wonderful as the setting itself.

    The venue to look back on and smile about!!

    Bernie is the wholesome venue owner you don’t come across everyday! Along with his team and Shannon! Wow Shannon answers every question you have and will help ease whatever stress comes your way big or small!! Book coordination services it was worth every penny! This is a beautiful venue out in the country but can be transformed however you want. I wanted romantic and glam! The venue alone made for my beautiful decor vision they have lots of hanging lights, big dance floor, beautiful grand entrance door, and the cutest bar outside on a patio/deck! So much more! I can’t wait for my pictures to come back or I would post how nice everything looked! They work with you and make sure everything runs great for your special day! So happy we chose them!!

    Wonderful experience

    From our first phone call to the day of our wedding, the team at Poplar Hill Wedding and Events Venue was responsive and easy to reach whenever we had questions. The space itself is absolutely stunning and gave us the fairytale wedding we'd always dreamed of. The owner went above and beyond by being there the entire day, capturing photos and videos while also making sure every detail ran smoothly. We felt so supported and taken care of from start to finish. Honestly, we'd recommend Poplar Hill 1000/100 to any couple looking for a venue that's both beautiful and backed by people who genuinely care about making your day special.

    Amazing Venue

    Poplar Hill Wedding And Events Venue was the perfect choice for our wedding day. Bernie and the crew went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The venue itself is stunning, with plenty of beautiful spaces for photos and celebrating with our guests. The staff was attentive and professional throughout the entire event, taking care of every detail so we could focus on enjoying the day. We felt so taken care of from our first visit through the last dance. We would absolutely recommend Poplar Hill to any couple looking for a great venue with an amazing team behind it.

    The perfect place

    Poplar Hill Wedding And Events Venue was the perfect choice for our wedding. The communication from the staff was reliable, timely, clear, and very nice throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself is clean, roomy, and truly unique - it has a beautiful rustic feel with an amazing property that is so well-maintained. The staff was incredibly helpful and present whenever we needed them, making sure everything ran smoothly on our special day. The food was absolutely delicious, and the owner was an absolute pleasure to work with. I could not imagine getting married anywhere else.

Yes. You can obtain a policy for the day/weekend of the event per the contract through multiple sites such as Wedsafe, etc OR you can check with your homeowners carrier if you have one for this.
We understand that sometimes it is necessary to change or cancel an event. All cancellations or date changes must be made in writing. The CLIENT(S) are responsible for verifying that Poplar Hill Farm, LLC, Bernie Fournier, owner, has received the cancellation letter. All payments made to date are non-refundable for a canceled reservation unless the venue is re-rented, and prepayment has cleared. We will make every effort to re-book the venue; however, if not re booked, you forfeit all monies paid. If a cancellation is successfully re-booked, all monies, taxes and security deposit will be refunded, less the RETAINER and applicable fees.
