With 6,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, the Inn provides a variety of settings for your day—from vow exchanges on the Lawn overlooking rolling Gibbet Hill to cocktails by the courtyard fireplace or quiet moments on the classic brick porch lined with wooden rocking chairs. Receptions unfold in the Prescott Room, featuring 1,600 square feet of sophisticated space, a private patio, and a built-in bar staffed by professional mixologists. Dedicated to exceptional hospitality, The Groton Inn offers onsite coordination, in-house catering, event rentals, and convenient room blocks to ensure you and your guests enjoy a seamless, memorable stay.

Absolutely wonderful
Everything was absolutely amazing! We hosted our rehearsal dinner and after-party at the Inn, and the food, staff, and atmosphere were all perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Quintessential New England Wedding
My husband and I got married here in May. We could not have been happier with our experience with the Groton Inn. The Groton Inn made the wedding planning process seamless and low stress. We had so much fun at our tasting, and we cannot thank Eleanor enough for her support in developing the day-of timeline and patiently answering all our questions. We relied heavily on her experience to make the day go smoothly. The Inn even coordinated the cake from Dolce Amar, which our guests raved about. Our wedding party, immediate family, and some guests stayed at the Inn with us for the duration of the weekend. It felt cozy, supportive, and fun. If we needed anything, we could simply run up to our rooms and grab it. The Inn also provided my husband and me with an upgraded room that had a beautiful double-door Juliet balcony with gorgeous views of Gibbet Hill. The day of the wedding went so smoothly, again in large part due to the competence of the Groton Inn. We also benefited from having a florist right across the street (Lavender) and the hair and makeup right next door (Body, Mind, Spirit Salon). This made the entire experience remarkably convenient and gave us very little to worry about on the day itself. The bridal party got ready in the Fuller Lounge, which had plenty of space to lounge, watch TV, eat lunch, and enjoy time together. The Groton Inn coordinated our lunch, which was delivered both to the lounge and upstairs to the groomsmen. The Fuller Lounge was a perfect escape to relax and feel calm and supported on the big day. One thing to note is that the Inn hosts multiple events, including events that were wrapping up earlier on the day of our wedding. However, since the whole event space was reserved for our wedding, by the time we were dressed and ready for photos, everything felt calm, private, and focused on our celebration. We were impressed by how seamlessly the team handled everything behind the scenes. On our wedding day, the forecast outlook was constantly changing. Relying on Eleanor and her experience reassured us that the right course of action would be taken, despite the uncertainty. The Inn went as far as to set up for both possibilities (indoor and outdoor ceremonies), which felt was truly above and beyond. Everything went according to schedule, our guests enjoyed the food and drinks, and we danced the night away. There is not much more we could have asked for. Thank you again to Eleanor and the whole team at the Groton Inn.

Perfect place to stay for Groton weddings
We stayed at the Groton Inn for our wedding weekend and it was perfect. It's a minute drive from the Barn (and I imagine a lovely walk in warmer weather, although our celebration was in winter!), so a perfect place to get ready as well.

Amazing
We worked with Eleanor throughout our entire experinece and we cannot express how grateful we were for her communication as well as her flexibility for our needs. The staff working the event and at the Groton Inn for the day were very accomodating and in the middle of me having a heavy emotional moment, assisted and were very kind helping get through what felt like an impossibly difficult time. The venue is very lovely and we did not anticipate how genuinely wonderful and kind everyone was throughout the entire process. They helped keep everything simple and never once complicated any thing we asked for; which we could not say for any of the nearby vendors that we had encountered. If you are looking for something simple and lighthearted and a wonderful crew with great food, this is the venue to be!

Great place to host a welcome reception
We hosted a welcome reception at Groton Inn in advance of our son’s wedding. It was a big event - about 140 people. The Groton Inn team was professional, responsive and friendly. Everything went very smoothly and people had a super time. The outdoor patio and fireplace are charming. Highly recommend
