The Manor at River Run is absolutely beautiful, and overall we had a great experience leading up to our wedding. Communication throughout the planning process was great, and the property made such a beautiful setting for our wedding. There were a few things I think future couples should be aware of. Our contracted access began at 9:00 AM, and we paid an additional $250 to be able to arrive at 8:00 AM on the morning of our wedding. We also did not rent the property for the entire weekend because it would have been twice the price. Because of that, we specifically asked beforehand how cleanup would work after the reception. We were told that we could return the following morning to clean up our décor and belongings and that if anything remained inside the house at the end of the night, it could be moved onto the porch for us to pick up the next day. Unfortunately, what happened the night of our wedding was very different. Before our reception was even over, the owner told my groom that he needed to have his belongings cleaned out of the house before 10:00 PM. My husband ended up leaving part of his own wedding reception to go into the house and clean up because he was worried our things needed to be out. That was probably our biggest disappointment with the venue. After spending so much time planning our wedding, neither of us should have been worrying about cleaning up while our reception was still happening. It made us feel rushed and as though we were being pushed out before our celebration was even over, especially because it was different from what had been communicated to us beforehand. The venue itself is gorgeous, and there were many things we were very happy with. I just wish the day-of communication and expectations regarding cleanup had matched what we were told leading up to the wedding. Had we known beforehand that belongings needed to be removed from the house that evening, we absolutely would have planned for that rather than having the groom leave his own reception to handle it.
The Manor at River Run•Sep 18, 2026Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are so glad you found the Manor beautiful, and that you were happy with the communication and support you received throughout the planning process. We are truly sorry to learn that your husband felt he needed to leave the reception to begin cleaning. Our policy allows couples and their belongings full use of the Manor until the music concludes at 10 PM, with cleanup taking place afterward during the remaining rental time. Couples are not expected to begin cleaning or remove their belongings from the house before 10 PM. We are deeply saddened that there was a misunderstanding that evening, and that it caused your husband to miss part of such an important celebration. That is never the experience we would want for either of you. We appreciate your bringing that to our attention, as it gives us the opportunity to make this policy even clearer for our couples and everyone assisting them on the wedding day. It was truly an honor to host your wedding, and we are grateful that you chose The Manor at River Run for such a meaningful occasion. We wish you both a lifetime happiness together!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding here in October! Whitney was available in a timely manner for our questions/concerns. The manor was beautiful and so well taken care of. They bridal and grooms suites were perfect for what we needed on our special day. They coordinated perfectly with our caterer. With it being an outdoors venue, they have all the faculties needed to help in case of inclement weather - thankfully our weather that day was perfect, so we didn't need to use them! I still get compliments about how beautiful our wedding was and how much fun everyone had :)

The Manor on River Run was absolutely perfect — Whitney and Sandy made us feel cared for and supported. Every detail was handled seamlessly, and their communication and coordination made the entire day stress-free. The space itself is stunning, and we’re still getting compliments on how beautiful and memorable everything was. If you’re looking for a venue that delivers exceptional service, breathtaking scenery, and an unforgettable experience, this is the one. Highly, highly recommend!

My husband and I just celebrated our wedding here, and it's hard to put into words how absolutely amazing not only the property is, but Whitney and her family. This is truly a venue that is created out of love and dreams, because Whitney is just a top tier human and venue owner. She was amazing from the start and was just so easy to talk to, get answers from, and work with as a whole. She was so flexible and easy to work with and rolled with the punches! The venue is absolutely stunning, so it really didn't need anything much added to it. But the few things I wanted to do such as hang florals from the chandeliers in the tent, she was completely on board with! They were also so helpful day of with helping us get extra tables, set up, etc. Our guests could not stop raving about the property either. We must've gotten asked at least a dozen times "how did you find this place?!" because our guests have never been to a venue such as The Manor. The bridal suite was PERFECT and enough room for myself, 9 bridesmaids, and mother of the bride to get ready in. We had two hair stylists and one make up artist as well and you didn't feel like you were on top of each other. The groomsmen suite in the converted cellar is also so fun and cool. The guys got to watch football, play pool, and have their own bar set up. I cannot wait to see the pictures our photographer got to really show off how stunning the property is. Whitney makes sure that the driveway that comes through the tree tunnel is rerouted around so that pictures can be taken underneath. I promise it's worth the hike up the hill in heels to do so! The barn, the tent on the hill, the ceremony aisle in front of a super large and old tree - it was all literal perfection. I got the forest fairy whimsical wedding of my dreams! For reference, we rented the venue for the weekend (Friday - Sunday) and set up early on Friday, then did our rehearsal dinner there, wedding Saturday, returned Sunday to clean up so we didn't have to do it the night before. Whitney and her family set up all the tables and chairs and moved furniture around for all nights for us! It really took a lot off of our plates, which was much needed. Bonus points for Otis, Whitney's dog who popped out to say hi while we were cleaning up the next day (don't worry if you're not a dog person - Whitney made sure to ask first if we wanted to have the dog out and our answer as a YES!!). He was such a cutie and made our day while cleaning! If you're in the market for a wedding venue, look no further, you found your place!!
