    Hidden Gem

    The Salem Herbfarm is a true hidden gem! The owner, Elizabeth, is such a delight to work with. From our initial tour to our wedding day (and even beyond!), she made us feel right at home. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. You get to choose between three ceremony sites, and each one is so beautiful that picking just one was a challenge! Handcrafted wooden farm tables and chairs are included, which added such a gorgeous touch to the space. After our ceremony, guests transitioned seamlessly into cocktail hour throughout the property. The central "booze hut" was a huge hit for drinks, and the sailcloth tent gave everyone plenty of room to mingle. We chose to hold dinner in the greenhouse, which felt intimate yet spacious, and moved into the barn for dessert and dancing. The barn was wonderfully air-conditioned—a total lifesaver for our hot August wedding! For guests who wanted a break from dancing, Elizabeth set up cozy indoor seating, and the outdoor fire pits were lit for relaxing under the stars. We also hired Elizabeth as our Day-of Coordinator, and she and her son completely exceeded our expectations. Our planning meetings were so helpful (and also so much fun!). They made the entire day run flawlessly, handling everything from setup and cleanup to timing every transition. Elizabeth even provides access to her own decor she has collected to help bring your vision to life. Beyond how stunning the property is, Elizabeth and her family are incredible people who truly care. If you are looking for an outdoor or garden wedding venue, I cannot recommend Salem Herbfarm enough!

    Most whimsical place in the world!

    We got married on 10/25/25 and I will be thinking about our wedding and the SHF for forever. When we started looking for a wedding venue, we knew we wanted something filled with personality, charm, and a touch of whimsy. Not a corporate, cookie-cutter space. The moment we stepped onto the grounds of The Salem Herb Farm, we knew we had found it. The gardens, the string lights, the 1800s barn and the fire pets! Oh my goodness. All perfect!Every inch of the property feel magical. Working with Elizabeth was an absolute dream. Her kindness and genuine care made the entire planning process so easy and enjoyable. This is truly a family-run business, and they treat you like family from day one. Every detail was handled with love and thoughtfulness, and we felt supported every step of the way. We used Elizabeth as our coordinator as well and she went above and beyond what the role should be. Our wedding day was nothing short of a dream come true. It was beautiful, intimate and whimsical. We can’t recommend The Salem Herb Farm enough!

    Wonderful venue!

    Salem Herbfarm is a wonderful venue! The property is absolutely beautiful and the family the owns it was so lovely to work with. Absolutely recommend!

The basic rental fee includes exclusive use of the grounds and barn for the rental period. This use includes ceremonies and photography. There are no additional fees, but there is a requirement for the client to obtain liability insurance coverage for the event day.
The basic rental period is for four hours. A maximum of two additional hours may be purchased at contract signing for $500 per hour.
The Salem Herbfarm does not cater events. We have a limited number of caterers that we recommend to service your special event. Since each caterer is familiar with our layout and facilities, this helps to ensure that your special day is stress free with the highest level of quality and service possible.
Although we feel you will be very happy with any of the caterers we have selected, you can make your arrangements with any catering service of your choice. We do require that any catering service with which we are not familiar provide a representative to tour our facility at least 30 days prior to your event to confirm that their expectations meet with our facilities.
Our parking lot can accommodate 65 cars if the cars are parked properly. We will provide a parking attendant for one hour before the event start time at no additional charge. Parking along Route 85 in front of the venue is strictly prohibited.
