Your wedding won’t feel like a highlight reel while you’re living it. It will be a blur of people you love, conversations, nerves, laughter, music, and little moments you may not even notice until later. Newlywed Films creates wedding films that bring all of that back. We pair beautiful, cinematic imagery with real audio, candid moments, and nostalgic, archival-inspired textures to create something that feels less like a recap of the day and more like a memory of actually being there. Based in Philadelphia and available for weddings wherever your story takes you.

We keep things calm and unobtrusive so your day can unfold naturally, then build the film around what actually made it yours: the people, the energy, the little reactions, the words, and the moments you didn’t know we caught. The edit is never one-size-fits-all. We mix cinematic imagery with candid footage, natural audio, and archival-inspired textures when they fit, creating a film that feels personal, textured, and true to the day.

    We are absolutely blown away with the work Dan did on our wedding film! From the beginning, Dan was incredibly professional and communicative about the entire process, meeting with us so that he could understand who we are as a couple and what we wanted the film to capture from the day. Dan worked solo on our wedding day and did the most amazing job of capturing not only all of the big moments and thoughtful words from our loved ones, but also so many sweet little moments of the day that are typically glossed over. We are so impressed he did the filming on his own - our video turned out like there was an entire film crew there for the day. The final product is even better than we could have imagined. Dan's editing is so thoughtful, blending a mix of vintage film style and black and white with regular footage. Our wedding was completely inside and in the evening in December, which could have led to some tricky lighting issues, but Dan's editing style made the whole film feel warm and ambient. We’re so thoroughly impressed. I would not hesitate to recommend Newlywed Films to any engaged couple looking for thoughtful videography to remember their day!

Not much. Our approach is intentionally unobtrusive. We want your wedding to feel like your wedding, not a film set. We may offer a little direction during portraits when it helps, but most of the day is captured as it naturally unfolds.
Every collection includes a second filmmaker for at least part of the day. The Keepsake and Heirloom include a second filmmaker through the ceremony, while The Legacy includes two filmmakers for the full day. This gives us more perspectives while keeping the crew small and unobtrusive.
We use multiple independent audio sources so important moments never rely on a single recording. Depending on the wedding, that can include discreet microphones, dedicated recorders, and a separate feed from your band or DJ. This redundancy helps us capture vows and speeches clearly while staying unobtrusive.
Yes. Drone coverage is included with The Legacy when weather, location, venue rules, and airspace allow. Because every wedding and location is different, drone footage can’t be guaranteed.
Yes. Newlywed Films is based in Philadelphia and available for weddings throughout the U.S. and beyond. Weddings outside our home markets may include additional travel and accommodation costs, which we'll clearly quote before booking.
