CLE floral co.
Rating: 4.9 (20 reviews)
  • Serves Ashtabula, OH

I am an event coordinator/ florist who has been doing independent work for over a decade. I began in event planning and quickly started doing florals to help my clients get exactly the look they want. It turns out I loved it! From there I began taking referrals only and have recently begun taking a more formal route.

Awarded Best of Zola
“My mom came across Alyssa here and I was initially skeptical of her since her internet presence was small from my initial googling. All of my worries evaporated the moment I got into a call with her. Alyssa and I clicked almost immediately and the moment I realized the creative eye that she has, I knew she would be perfect. I wasn’t the kind of bride that asked for specific flowers. I was more focused on the colors in the arrangement. I left it up to Alyssa to figure out the best flowers for my budget. We didn’t talk much, but the moment we got on a quick call just to make sure nothing changed, I knew she had everything handled on her end. I gave her reference photos of what I was hoping for and the moment I told her we bought fake flowers for decorations we were gonna have outside (we were concerned about real flowers sitting out in the heat) she immediately asked for photos of them so she could try to find similar real flowers to keep everything cohesive. To this day, I still haven’t met Alyssa in person, but the moment I saw the bouquets arrive on my wedding day, my mouth dropped to the floor. They. Were. Stunning. Alyssa did better than I expected. And with how affordable her pricing was is just icing on the cake. Literally everyone I show photos to have to say how gorgeous her flowers are. It’s literally the first words out of their mouths. I desperately want to thank her in person. I will recommend her to anyone!”

Merkels Floral Studio
Rating: 5.0 (23 reviews)
  • Starts at $10,000
  • Serves Ashtabula, OH

Founded in 1940, when we say we have decades of experience, we really mean it. Since then our love for flowers and our team has only grown. Day to day you can catch us designing floral arrangements and delivering them by the truck full. We source locally whenever possible (of course). We especially love weddings and just adore our brides. Aside from that, we are probably spending any other spare time cheering on fellow entrepreneurs and our favorite vendors of this industry. We love to pour back into our city by supporting local events, schools, and the animal shelter. And we could go on of course, but there is a word limit :)

Awarded Best of Zola
“When I first got engaged I knew immediately that I wanted Kristin and her team at Merkels to be our florist. Kristin's attention to detail, willingness to try anything, and overall easy-going personality made the entire planning process with her so smooth. When we sat down to discuss the vision I had for my wedding I told her I was thinking blues, purples, whites, and I wanted the entire place to give off a coastal Italian vibe - which I was positive made no sense, but Kristin was the biggest yes-woman. She immediately understood what I wanted and was so helpful when sitting down to discuss what I was thinking for the wedding. On top of this, she was incredibly conscious of our budget and worked with me to make sure I got everything I wanted within my price range! Another thing I never got to compliment on was her memory & attention to details; I had asked for Dahlias and Peonies in my bouquet if possible - knowing it was probably not going to happen as they weren't in season ... BUT SHE GOT THEM which I did not expect at all. From our altar and signage, to the centerpieces and bouquets, Kristin and her team exceeded my expectations by 1000%. I would not change a single thing. Kristin, we love you so much, and cannot thank you enough!”

Sophie Lou Florals
Rating: 5.0 (7 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Ashtabula, OH

I’m Nicole, Owner and Lead Designer of SLF. My path to florals was not conventional, but it was intentional. After 8 years as a probation officer, I had my son, reevaluated my life, and fell in love with the world of floral design. Today, I create elevated floral experiences rooted in romantic palettes, texture, and thoughtful composition. Every bloom is chosen with purpose and must feel right. As a mother, I am ever-conscious of how quickly moments pass. This awareness shapes the way I design by not simply creating arrangements, but helping to frame memories and bring warmth to once-in-a-lifetime celebrations.

“Sophie Lou Florals went above and beyond to make my wedding day flawless. She hand delivered the flowers. The flowers were fresh and just gorgeous. She listened to what I wanted, drafted up pictures and then delivered perfectly on what I wanted! I highly recommend using them for your events.”

“I was very pleased with my experience with Something Borrowed Blooms! The flowers were quality silk, unlike typical fake flowers these felt and even smelled like flowers!! I enjoyed not having to waste flowers the day after our wedding, I could send them back in for the next bride! If I had not gone with something borrowed we likely would have make our own flower arrangements. I was nervous about not knowing how those would look until the day of. In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (44 reviews)
  • Serves Ashtabula, OH

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Use The Faux Bouquets! I know there are a lot of options out there for faux florals, but this company really stands out. Absolutely gorgeous selections. We chose one of the more basic options because of our color scheme but there were so many more stunning, fun and colorful options out there as well! We used them for the bouquets and boutonnieres and it made life so easy. No need to worry about the flowers staying alive or getting water stains on your dresses. We had everything in bins ready to go before wedding day. Great pricing. The bouquets are so full and you can see the thought that goes into choosing the colors, type, and placement of each flower. The company communication is quick, kind, informative, and they are just all around amazing!”

Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Working with Jen for our October 2025 wedding was AMAZING!! From the moment we sent in an online inquiry, Jen was attentive, responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly detail oriented. She got us set up with a project planning doc immediately, and she was SO patient with us even when we were annoyingly indecisive about our vision lol. She met with us via Zoom to answer all of our questions when we were struggling to finish the document (and she is just as thorough and helpful via Zoom as she is via email). Once we placed our final order, Jen was communicative and thorough about the process of what happened next in terms of pickup, payment, etc. When we picked up our flowers, we were ASTOUNDED by how beautiful they were. I mean, we knew they would be beautiful, but truly, WOW. Aside from bouquets & boutonnieres, we also got garlands to use as centerpieces for our guests’ farmhouse tables, as well as small wooden circle magnets with a flower on top (we wood burned the j c into them ourselves) to use as favors. And they all looked incredible. An employee at our venue said that our decor was “the best she’s ever seen this place look,” and a large part of our decor was these flowers. I cannot recommend Jen and Wood and Word Blooms ENOUGH!!! PS bouquet photo is from today (1/5/26)!! The longevity is insane!”

Hi! My name is Andrea and I'm the owner and lead designer here at The Flower Petal! I've been in this industry for about 8 years and I absolutely love what I do. I would describe my design style as loose/organic with a mix of whimsical and romantic. I LOVE color and getting the chance to work with more unique color palettes is my absolute favorite thing!

“The Flower Petal was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From our first interaction, Andrea and her team were incredibly timely, thorough, and friendly in their communication. Their floral design was truly visionary - the bouquets, centerpieces, and ceremony decor they created were Pinterest-board worthy and absolutely stunning. They were true floral experts, paying meticulous attention to every detail to bring our vision to life. Andrea and her team were punctual for set up, had the most beautiful arrangements, and even added extra special touches like arranging the bridesmaid bouquets for detail shots and sprinkling extra petals in the ceremony space. They went above and beyond, returning at the end of the evening to collect the rental items so we didn't have to. The Flower Petal provided the best customer experience, were fairly priced, and truly made our wedding day dreams come true.”

“The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”

Zombie Flowers

After the global zombie apocalypse, in the early winter of '24, I heeded the call, picked up my shovel and shotgun and headed out to the fields. Protecting this wide world from the pestilence that is the zombie flower is no small feat, but I've learned to survive. I've made it my mission to hunt these jokers down, wrangle them together, and to serve to you dead off the proverbial platter. In these post-apocalyptic times, the zombie flowers make for excellent mantle trophies, but some have said they make awesome wedding bouquets. Whatever your cup of tea, these zombie flowers are one of a kind prepared just for you.
