Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (106 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Binghamton, NY

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We had a wonderful experience with Flower Moxie and loved their DIY approach to wedding flowers. From the start, their communication was efficient and straightforward—they walked us through exactly how many blooms we'd need for bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, and bud vases without any confusion. Browsing their kits made it simple to find colors that matched our wedding perfectly, and the flowers themselves were gorgeous and fresh. The whole process felt manageable because they explained everything clearly, which took so much stress out of the planning. We're already telling our friends about this option and would definitely recommend Flower Moxie to any couple looking to create their own arrangements.”

“The Floral Eden brought our wedding vision to life in ways we didn't even expect. From our first conversation, the team responded to every question and concern right away, and they truly understood what we wanted for our big day. “The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”

“Working with Jill and her team was an absolute delight. They not only met but truly exceeded my expectations for our wedding day floral arrangements. Despite providing several conflicting inspiration photos, Jill and her talented team masterfully translated my vision into the most stunning ceremony and reception arrangements imaginable. I was utterly thrilled with the results. What impressed me even more was their unwavering professionalism in the face of challenging weather. When it began to pour rain, Jill's team remained completely unfazed. They diligently worked through the downpour (which fortunately stopped just in time for our outdoor ceremony) to ensure everything was set up beautifully. I am profoundly grateful for their exceptional vision, remarkable creativity, and meticulous attention to detail. Jill and her team's expertise and dedication played a crucial role in making our wedding day truly magical. “Isabelle is so incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient; a true artist with their flowers :') I emailed Isabelle to ask about DIY floral arrangements for our June 2025 wedding. We had such a fun time thinking up ways to engage my partner and I's family and friends, and Isabelle came up with the idea for a flower arranging party in their beautiful shop. The day before our wedding, we had our family try their hand at floral design. They had so many questions (ie, "Am I doing this right?" "What kind of flower is THIS?!"), and Isabelle greeted them all with understanding and care. AND there was handmade herbal tea and strong air conditioning on a 95-degree day. It was an experience I will never forget; thank you, Isabelle & the folks who make Fairy Meadow Flowers so special! :') Photo credit: Ken Yotsukura (& family/friends)”

The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
  • Starts at $1,800
  • Serves Binghamton, NY

I bring both professional and academic training to every arrangement. I studied fine arts at the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League university, and I apply that same eye for color, composition, and detail to every bouquet, centerpiece, and installation. Your florals aren't just decorations to me. They're a work of art, built specifically for your day. Wedding florals shouldn't force you to choose between beautiful and affordable. I've watched too many couples fall in love with a Pinterest board, then feel deflated by the quote that comes with it. That's not how I work.

“I was referred to The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals by a friend who used them for her wedding. They can definitely make very unique table centerpieces if you are into that. They also offered conventional choices as well. The point is they offered options which is exactly what I needed in a florist.”

I've made it my mission to hunt these jokers down, wrangle them together, and to serve to you dead off the proverbial platter. Hi! I'm Alex, owner and lead designer of Wilder, a wedding florist and floral design studio serving NYC, Syracuse, Rochester, The Finger Lakes, and beyond! Wilder has created florals for galas, fashion shows, and weddings at some of the best NYC venues for over a decade, and more recently, at boutique venues in Central New York. We approach our beautifully wild wedding flowers with passion, cohesiveness, and an environmental ethic, taking inspiration from the landscape around us. Most of my design blends more obvious blooms with forage from my land upstate, so that your wedding feels seasonal, natural, original and (elegantly ) wild.

““Alex and her team are not only intensely dedicated to the look and feel of the floral design of the event, but respectful in honoring the surroundings they work within. Their work at Wave Hill for a recent wedding was a game changer and many clients look to the images from that event as their own wedding and private event muse.””

“My husband and I decided to have an intimate micro-wedding with 12 other people in June of 2024, and organized just about everything ourselves, including the flowers. As part of the planning process, we sought out a preservation artist who could freeze this element of our wedding forever in time. I found Jackie of Evergreen Botanical Studio and her 3-D preservation style matched exactly what I was looking for, so we booked our date with her as soon as we could. She was the PERFECT choice. She took my crazy wild bouquet, my grandmother’s handkerchiefs that wrapped the stems, all the extra flowers from the arrangements, and even some delphinium from her own garden (because she's such an angel and took pity on me that mine didn’t quite survive), and created a work of art that takes me directly back to my wedding day and reminds me of all the amazingness that unfolded. AND she crafted the most wonderful little memento for my Mom, that was completed in time to gift for her 50th wedding anniversary, just months after our event. Jackie was so easy to work with, providing detailed instructions for packaging and shipping the flowers from the Midwest, eased my worry by confirming as soon as she received them, and gave a timeline and explanation of how the whole preservation process works. It seems like magic that the flowers in the finished product look just as they did on the day of our wedding. There is something extra special about the care and artistry that she applies to each and every project she works on. You can feel the passion for her craft shining through, from the vibrant colors and clever composition to the expertly homemade frames. This was an important part of our wedding budget, and we are so glad we made the investment, not only as an extra special keepsake but also to support a fellow artist and small business owner. You won’t be disappointed making the same choice!”

I was completely lost when it came to choosing colors and styles, but Vanessa helped me pick shades that perfectly matched my wedding color scheme and flowers that suited my taste beautifully. She was so communicative, kind, and accommodating—especially when I needed my flowers made and shipped on a tight timeline. Everything arrived on time and looked stunning! I would highly recommend Pine and Petal to anyone looking for elegant, timeless, and long-lasting floral arrangements. We plan to have our bouquet proudly on display as a beautiful reminder of our wedding day, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out!”
