Originally called Doub's United Methodist Chapel, this historic structure was relocated to its current site in 1909 and functioned as a place of worship for decades. Today, the chapel has been meticulously renovated, preserving its vintage charm while incorporating modern amenities. Magnolia Hill remains a house of worship which has stunning architecture and intimate ambiance. Weddings can be hosted in the chapel, outdoors, or in our elegant reception hall, offering versatile options for any occasion.

Uptown Indigo is a romantic, modern, chic venue. Our Ballroom and Steeples/Rooftop is perfect for wedding ceremonies, receptions, or any upscale event. The venue can accommodate up to 220 seated guests, with the largest space being the 6,000 square foot Indigo Ballroom. This ballroom is characterized by its modern light fixtures combined with rich historic elements. It is fully accessible with a vintage elevator and large, elegant bathrooms. The Steeples Space is on the top floor, complete with a beautiful bar for cocktail hours or smaller ceremonies. In 1929, Jean-Pierre Auguste Dalmas, a Waldensian immigrant from Villar Pellice, Italy, started construction on the dairy barn on his property in Valdese, NC. After the barn had been completed, work began on the main house. He built a rock veneered masterpiece, large enough to house his 7 children. He cleared a field for a vineyard and until his death in 1972 (at the age of 92), he made wine in the basement of the main house every autumn.
