“Emily was the most incredible florist to work with. I am personally not a creative person, but I do LOVE flowers. Real flowers were important to us from the beginning, but we didn’t have an extravagant budget. I was up front with Emily on our budget from the beginning and she helped bring our ideas to life, even when I couldn’t quite articulate what I was looking for. We did end up going a bit over our budget, but not because Emily recommended so, but because she was so easy to work with and I was so excited to bring her ideas in as much as we could. I do not have any regrets here. She created an absolutely stunning chuppah piece that brought our (rain plan) barn ceremony to life. The florals on the tables were the star of the reception with giant breathtaking peonies. And I can’t even express how perfect my bouquet was. I stated from the beginning a wanted a big, wild, and colorful bouquet and boy did she pull through. The men’s boutonnieres complimented the bouquets so well. She was sweet and always available when I wanted to chat through a new idea. Her communication was excellent, with timely check-ins, and easy and clear invoices for payment. I knew where every dollar spent was going, and am so glad we hired her for florals and set-up. Thank you, Emily!! We appreciate you spending your birthday setting up our wedding.”

A Blooming Affair
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Bristol, VT

Christina is a local Vermonter who’s crafted wedding flowers for over 25 years. In 2015, Christina and her friend Cindy took the leap and started their own wedding floral business, A Blooming Affair. Since then, Christina and Cindy have been flowering all over New England and upstate New York. Some of Christina's most memorable weddings have been at the Lake Bomoseen Lodge, Mad River Barn, Smugglers Notch, Barn at Smuggs, Maquam Barn, Basin Harbor and Private Estates.

“A Blooming Affair made our Vermont spring 2024 wedding so special and beautiful! Christina was a pleasure to work with the entire time, and nailed the vision I shared with her… springy, bouncy, garden party vibes. I am petite and wanted a bouquet that wouldn’t totally block my body and dress in photos, and would also fit under my blusher veil, and Christina nailed it! She was on-time, and the option to rent glassware and floating candles was so helpful for us. Thank-you, Christina!”

My design style is inspired by nature, being born and raised in Vermont. I love to incorporate locally grown blooms and natural elements to give the perfect, organic, and sophisticated look! “We can't thank Hailey and her team at Fern to Table enough for making our wedding flowers absolutely perfect! I had the idea to do florals with the girls in my family; however, time quickly slipped away and our destination wedding was arriving faster than planned. With one month to go, Hailey and her team stepped in and created stunning bouquets, centerpieces, and floral decor that matched my vision perfectly. The flowers and greenery were fresh, vibrant, and beautifully arranged. The customer service was top-notch, and they were so easy to work with throughout the process. “Overall I was very happy with the flowers and how easy it was to order them and return them. We had A destination wedding in June in Florida so real flowers would have just wilted so these were a perfect choice. My only critic is that the corsage and boutonnières were pretty used. They weren’t the prettiest but the 2 bouquets I ordered looked pretty good. I do recommend them especially for a destination wedding and low cost.”

Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. I didn’t have a lot in mind for what I envisioned for the florals but with what little I gave her she managed to create absolutely stunning bouquets and bar pieces with beautiful colors and textures. My wedding was moved inside a tent due to a Nor’Easter, and Sara transformed the entire space into a warm, cozy, truly magical environment. I cannot recommend her enough!!”

“Emily from Tipsy Tulip is truly gifted! Her arrangements are clearly made with love and attention to detail. The only directions I gave to Emily were "no carnations" and "spring pastels" and she delivered the most stunning ground arch, centerpieces, boutonnieres, and bouquets. My bridal bouquet was SO stunning, that I felt a sense of loss when I couldn't take it with me the day after the wedding (we went straight to our honeymoon). I wish I had had more time with it! Emily was also great about repurposing flowers from our rehearsal dinner for cocktail hour on wedding night, and moving our ceremony ground arch into the reception space as well. And the cake flowers...I just can't stop staring at how beautiful our cake was, too! If you want beautiful blooms and an all-star professional team, Tipsy Tulip is the way to go!”

“The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”

“We hired Paula and Samantha pretty down to the wire of our wedding, but they immediately jumped in! We contacted them on Friday, and they had our proposal ready by Monday! Our flowers fit our vibe perfectly: I wanted something to pull from the venue's brick, but not look too "autumny" for our January wedding, and they nailed it! They look and feel like "regular" flowers, but they'll last forever and have so far held up perfectly! We're gifting a number of our pieces to our mothers and grandmothers as keepsakes from our amazing day, while saving the rest to display around our house! We're so happy to have such beautiful mementoes to remember it by!”

I bring both professional and academic training to every arrangement. I studied fine arts at the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League university, and I apply that same eye for color, composition, and detail to every bouquet, centerpiece, and installation. Your florals aren't just decorations to me. They're a work of art, built specifically for your day. Wedding florals shouldn't force you to choose between beautiful and affordable. I've watched too many couples fall in love with a Pinterest board, then feel deflated by the quote that comes with it. That's not how I work.

“I wanted wildflowers with all sorts of different pastel colors combined. Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals was able to deliver perfectly. I absolutely loved my cascading bouquet especially!”

Protecting this wide world from the pestilence that is the zombie flower is no small feat, but I've learned to survive. I've made it my mission to hunt these jokers down, wrangle them together, and to serve to you dead off the proverbial platter. In these post-apocalyptic times, the zombie flowers make for excellent mantle trophies, but some have said they make awesome wedding bouquets. Whatever your cup of tea, these zombie flowers are one of a kind prepared just for you.

“I only had bouquet and my now husband had a lapel crawler. The dried flower arrangement from Zombie Flowers was stunning. It looked incredible in photos and is still just as beautiful now. Knowing it will last forever makes it such a meaningful keepsake.”
