A Blooming Affair

  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Chittenden, VT

Christina is a local Vermonter who’s crafted wedding flowers for over 25 years. In 2015, Christina and her friend Cindy took the leap and started their own wedding floral business, A Blooming Affair. Since then, Christina and Cindy have been flowering all over New England and upstate New York. Some of Christina's most memorable weddings have been at the Lake Bomoseen Lodge, Mad River Barn, Smugglers Notch, Barn at Smuggs, Maquam Barn, Basin Harbor and Private Estates.

“A Blooming Affair made our Vermont spring 2024 wedding so special and beautiful! Christina was a pleasure to work with the entire time, and nailed the vision I shared with her… springy, bouncy, garden party vibes. I am petite and wanted a bouquet that wouldn’t totally block my body and dress in photos, and would also fit under my blusher veil, and Christina nailed it! She was on-time, and the option to rent glassware and floating candles was so helpful for us. Thank-you, Christina!”

The flowers and greenery were fresh, vibrant, and beautifully arranged. The customer service was top-notch, and they were so easy to work with throughout the process. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (108 reviews)

  • Serves Chittenden, VT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
“We had a tropical themed wedding and used Flower Moxie for tropical flowers and greenery: bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, ceremony arch flowers. I wish there were more tropical related videos on their DIY Academy, but I did love working with my assigned florist and the help desk was quick in their response. For those who are getting married at the same location that the flowers are being delivered (my parents' home), I wish we would have done all of the floral arrangements the day before instead of 2 days before. And our spray roses came a day later and were a little sad looking. But overall, we were very happy with the service and highly recommend to others!”

“I'm not quite sure where to begin in speaking about our incredible experience working with Emma for our August wedding, so I guess I'll start at the beginning! Emma came recommended to us by our amazing planner (Chelsea @ Wildfern Boutique), who raved about her work from a previous wedding and set up a call for us. As soon as I got on the phone with Emma, I knew I wanted to work together. She understood our vision right away, but even more than that, she genuinely seemed really excited by our ideas - our colors, little extra touches we wanted to include, and some cultural elements that were unique to our wedding. With every follow up call, mock-up, design deck etc. that followed, we got more and more excited about the vision of the day. Honestly, we asked for a lot - big wedding, lots of tables, extra little things here and there - and Emma executed absolutely everything perfectly, better than I could have imagined. Truly, we could not be happier with what she created for our wedding day. We got the ceremony space of our dreams, complete with the perfect basket vessels, sourced by Emma. Our reception space looked even better than we had imagined it, again with the perfect aged terracotta vessels and just stunning centerpieces. She even made 15 (!!!) floral crowns for my bridal party, flower girls, and my mom and mother-in-law. These pieces helped add such a special moment to our wedding day, and I'm SO glad to have worked with Emma who was supportive and excited about the idea from the start. I really can't say enough how over the moon we were with everything Emma provided for our wedding. It was magical, and everything we ever could have wanted.”

The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
  • Starts at $1,800
  • Serves Chittenden, VT

I bring both professional and academic training to every arrangement. I studied fine arts at the University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League university, and I apply that same eye for color, composition, and detail to every bouquet, centerpiece, and installation. Your florals aren't just decorations to me. They're a work of art, built specifically for your day. Wedding florals shouldn't force you to choose between beautiful and affordable. I've watched too many couples fall in love with a Pinterest board, then feel deflated by the quote that comes with it. That's not how I work.

“Working with The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals was truly one of the easiest parts of our wedding planning experience. From our very first conversation, June was incredibly responsive, organized, and thoughtful about every detail. She took the time to understand the overall look we were going for, including the fact that peonies were really important to us, while also being mindful of our floral budget. We were honestly surprised by how well she was able to incorporate the flowers we loved while still keeping everything within the budget we had discussed. We also really wanted a beautiful floral arch for our ceremony, with lots of flowers and greenery, and June completely understood the vision. When we saw it on our wedding day, we were blown away. The arch was so full, lush, and beautifully designed, and the quality of the flowers and greenery was incredible. It looked so much more elevated and substantial than we ever expected based on what we were spending. It really became one of our favorite details from the entire wedding. When we saw all of the flowers on our wedding day, they were even more beautiful than we had imagined. Every arrangement felt intentional and fit so perfectly with the rest of our wedding. The florals added so much to the atmosphere and made the space feel incredibly special. One of the things we appreciated most was how completely everything was handled for us on the wedding day. The setup, breakdown, and cleanup were all taken care of, so we never had to worry about what was happening behind the scenes. It was such a relief to be able to focus on getting married and enjoying the day with our family and friends. We also really appreciated the transparency throughout the process. We knew our final price upfront, and there were no unexpected fees or surprises at the end. June was honest about what would work within our budget and helped us make thoughtful choices without ever making us feel like we had to sacrifice the overall look we wanted. The Ivy League Wedding Studio Florals was such a pleasure to work with, and we are so grateful they were part of our wedding day. From helping us get the peonies we really wanted to creating the full floral and greenery arch we had envisioned, everything felt so personal and thoughtfully done. The flowers were gorgeous, the entire process was seamless, and we felt genuinely taken care of from beginning to end.”

“Working with Daily Fleur was such a smooth experience from start to finish. They kept us in the loop every step of the way and made sure we felt heard about what we wanted for our flowers. The arrangements they created were absolutely stunning and really brought our vision to life on the big day. The quality of their work was worth every penny, and honestly, we can't imagine using anyone else for future events. If you're looking for a florist, Daily Fleur is definitely the way to go.”

After the global zombie apocalypse, in the early winter of '24, I heeded the call, picked up my shovel and shotgun and headed out to the fields. Protecting this wide world from the pestilence that is the zombie flower is no small feat, but I've learned to survive. I've made it my mission to hunt these jokers down, wrangle them together, and to serve to you dead off the proverbial platter. In these post-apocalyptic times, the zombie flowers make for excellent mantle trophies, but some have said they make awesome wedding bouquets. Whatever your cup of tea, these zombie flowers are one of a kind prepared just for you.

“We contracted Zombie Flowers to provide bouquets for our runway models at Uncon Bridal Con. They were amazing at their communication leading up to the event and delivered the bouquets promptly according to our schedule the day of the event. Their punctuality gave our models enough time to rehearse the runway with their florals. Aside from their great professionalism, Zombie Flowers is a super creative company. Their floral arrangements can be described as wild, yet put together giving a very unique aesthetic that you can't find from Etsy. The best thing that brides say about their products is that their lightweight and already preserved for life. We cannot recommend them enough to add something special to your wedding day!”
