Drew had sent me an email a few weeks before the couples wedding with the reception timeline (a first) and kept me up-to-date with any last minute changes the day of. It is clear by working with Drew how much he loves his job and how much he cares about the couples he works with. He got the crowd going, the dance floor was always packed and he invited the couple up to DJ booth which was so fun for them and also amazing for pictures. They really took the time to understand our vision and preferences. On the day of, they fed off the energy of the crowd and kept the dance floor packed all night with their fun, musically talented performance that spanned all generations. One of the highlights was when they split my father-daughter dance, playing a sweet song for the first half and then transitioning into our favorite upbeat song "All Star" by Smashmouth, which got the whole wedding up and dancing. We couldn't have asked for a better band to make our special day so memorable.The morning after so many guests came up to us raving about how fun they had dancing and singing. From the B52’s Love Shack, Zombie by Cranberries, to Chapelle Roan Pink Pony club- Business Time absolutely rocked it. Not to mention the acoustics for the ceremony made my husband cry. They truly have such talent on all ends. Cannot not recommend them enough, they made our wedding so memorable.”

“We hired Closing Time for our wedding band and they absolutely blew us away. Due to weather issues out of our control (including loss of electricity at the venue), the band was unfortunately unable to play live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. However, they were able to quickly transition to prerecorded versions of our processional/recessional songs. Despite the power still being out for the first two hours of our reception, Closing Time delivered. They were incredibly professional throughout and the live music was absolutely phenomenal. Multiple guests came up to us throughout the night asking how we found them, as well as telling us this was the best wedding band they has heard. “My daughter recently got married in Newport, Rhode Island, on September 14th, 2024. She choose to have her reception in a tent on the lawn of the Eisenhower House. The venue was stunning and the woman at EH recommended Clockwork as we were looking for a local band with horns to play at the reception. We were not able to hear them in person, but all the video's posted online more than helped our decision making process and we quickly booked the band 20 months in advance, It was our second decision in the wedding process after the venue -with many, many more to come, but without a doubt - IT WAS THE BEST DECISION!!!! Booking was easy - we sent a check to reserve the date. the catalog of music they are capable of playing is extensive. But we had a tremendous comfort level with Clockwork New England as the contract states YOU GET THE EXACT MUSICIANS you see on all the website videos. There are no switches, or long lists of band members they slot in on any given day. Everyone we saw and loved are the people that showed up for our event. From start to finish - the band rocked the night away - the dance floor was never empty. They sang the bride and grooms song 'You are the Best Thing" and it was spectacular. And every song after that just got us up off our feet. The horns added so much - we keep hearing from friends asking us who they were, because they LOVED the music. The interactions with the crowd also made the night so memorable - and some of the best videos of the night. The band worked well together - and we just cannot say enough about how much they added to the party. Patrick joined a zoom call we had w our planner a week or so earlier than the event - and went over every detail - completely putting our minds at ease. 5 stars are NOT ENOUGH!! “When a band is way out of your price range, but you’re DYING for live music at your wedding…JOSEPH AND ERIKA ARE PERFECT! I can’t say enough good things about Joseph and Erika! Music can really make or break the day and Joseph and Erika 100% made the day! They did amazing live cocktail hour music, then sang for half of dinner, then continued with amazing DJ’d music for the other half and dancing! They also offered live singing for first and parent dances which was amazing! It seriously is the music you dream of at a wedding. They use the easiest app Vibo to talk through what you do and don’t want played and they add in their amazing flare! I talked with Erika about what I was hoping for and she was able to give advice and remix everything perfectly! It can be hard to capture and post a photo of the vibe Joseph and Erika created for us, but I tried! Joseph joined us on the dance floor with his guitar and then we ended singing Piano man together! “I can’t even begin to thank the team at Black Diamond for making our wedding night so incredible. David and Mike on DJ and Tim on sax were absolutely amazing from start to finish. The energy was SO high, and they paid attention to every little detail, which made such a difference on our special night. Leading up to the wedding, our meetings with David were always so great. He was so easy to talk to, incredibly organized, and asked us every question to make sure he understood exactly what we wanted. He had our entire list of songs, our wedding party names, and all of the little details we had discussed. You could truly tell how much he cared about making our night perfect. One moment that really stood out to me was when David came up to me during the reception to ask if I wanted a song that a guest had requested to be played. That small gesture showed just how professional and thoughtful he was. He wanted to make sure the music stayed exactly what we envisioned, while still making sure everyone was having the best time. So many of our guests came up to us throughout the night and told us how incredible our DJ crew was. David & Mike kept the energy going all night, and Tim on sax was AMAZING and brought an entirely different level of energy to the dance floor. Every song, every transition, and every moment felt exactly like us. We seriously wish we could relive this night over and over again. You helped make our wedding everything we dreamed it would be, and we are so grateful. Thank you, Black Diamond team, for giving us the BEST night!”

David gave us suggestions on why certain lighting changes the whole vibe of the events. Used him for three events and all three were phenomenal. I'm talking people getting picked up on shoulders phenomenal. I still have family members messaging me a week back telling me how much they loved the DJ and MC. The MC at our reception was great as well. He got almost every single person engaged in the event and was able to get almost every person on the dance floor and no one left the dance floor.
