“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “We had a great time working with Rian. We really loved Rian's passion for music. We provided a list of songs for Rian and he did a great job curating the music and his additions worked very well. His mixing was smooth and clean! Our wedding venue was in a remote location and Rian was able to provide equipment for three separate sites with only one site being indoors with outlets. “We had a Latino and Indian fusion wedding and our guests were so happy with the music. We were initially worried about how we would fuse both of our cultures and how we would keep both sides of the family entertained and on the dance floor but Rafael and Richard did an amazing job! It started with a 1hr sync before the wedding where we explained to them the vibe and the small little details that we wanted to include. Bryan and Rafael were so knowledgeable and so open to our suggestions and needs. The day of they showed up on time and had everything ready and set up on time. When our timeline got pushed a little they were super accommodating and helped keep the guests entertained. My mom was raving about the song choices that Rafael included. “The Afterparty Band and their Duo was one of the best choices we made for our wedding of 100 people! The Duo also set a great ambiance to our outdoor Cocktail Hour. My husband and I couldn’t find time to leave the dance floor because their compilations just flow from one to the next. At first I thought our party would be too small for an 8-piece band at the reception, but they were the perfect addition to build up the crowd and keep everyone together on the dance floor. They even came into the crowd to sing and play instruments to stir up enthusiasm. My only regret was not having more time to chat with our guests for longer because we simply couldn’t peel ourselves off the dance floor. Tristan and Jeff are so responsive, and they were able to work with both me and my wedding coordinators directly to take some of the logistics off my plate. It was also very fun working with the band for all requests. They learned our first dance song so quickly and even sent me a sample of a shortened version of the song to practice to with my husband. It was the only part of the wedding planning process he felt truly passionate about from the jump – we knew we wanted them before we even had a venue or date and went so far as to clear our potential dates with them before booking anything else. Fast forward, and Dan made the band planning process so supported and seamless that my husband’s one job went off without a hitch. The problem? Despite me planning every other single little detail of our three-day wedding weekend, the first thing that every single guest complimented (and still raves above, 1 month later) was THE BAND! But in truth, we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are absolutely ecstatic with our choice of hiring The Hook Club for our wedding. We did acoustic guitars for the ceremony, sax and tracks for cocktail and band and DJ for reception. THC was outstanding to work with from the jump. Dan is a wealth of knowledge and organization, and brings a calm, cool, collected vibe through every step of the planning process. Not to mention, he’s a great musician who can come discuss timeline with you while also playing the base day of :D. The process THC uses to help plan is smooth and clear. The communication was great throughout – we knew what to expect from the first planning call all the way up to some adhoc timeline changes day of. The band has an extensive repertoire and was able to take in our song, vibe, and timeline requests while also using their extensive experience to guide us along the way. The music carried the vibe throughout the day – from guitars at the ceremony to sax and tracks leading through cocktail hour and a mix of dance sets, slow dances, and expert MC’ing on the dance floor, we couldn’t get enough. So much so, that we extended the end time of the event just to have more fun on the dance floor with THC! Everyone was so nice, supportive, energetic and just brought their outstandingly talented A game and the absolute best vibe. The band got out on the dance floor with us, led us in call and response and a little choreographed proud Mary moment. Our first dance song is not a very common song, not only did THC learn it for us, but they provided us a track of their composition beforehand so we could practice the dance. You’ll see in the pictures my face when I first heard them play it – completely awestruck! That was pretty much my inner face the entire rest of the night in their presence. I have so many fond memories of engaging with THC throughout our wedding. If I could do it again, I’d hire THC without a second thought.”

“What an amazing experience working with Joey. He was very thoughtful in curating the music for our day and I hope you find what you are looking for with him. I am a wedding vendor of 15 years as well doing hair, makeup and morning concierge. One of my past brides at one of my most favorite venues to work at is how I was introduced to Joey. After coming out of the hair room I love taking a moment to walk around the venue and there he was playing the cello along with some background music. I was hooked. I love that he was incorporating songs of today with the art of an instrument. I found it unique and something I wanted to showcase at my wedding. I didn’t want people to walk up to just music playing in the space, but an experience. Joey took the time to do 2 calls with us, one being over the phone and the second being over zoom. He came with a detailed questionnaire of how we wanted our wedding to go. It was so detailed that even a music mood girl I didn’t even think of. The calls were scheduled for 30 minutes but he didn’t hesitate to chat with me for over an hour on how I wanted it to be curated. I had already started 2 wedding playlists, but he added and sent me 5 to 6 albums to fill out of songs I loved and wanted. I had over 10 hours of music to play and not only did he take those into consideration he added music that my guests also requested. He even accepted me saying change this song and only play the 10 year olds music every 10 songs He needed to set up in two spaces, one for the ceremony which was outside on our property. He was set up and playing by the time guests arrived. Everyone I spoke with loved the music selection, which I told him “Bridgerton vibes” and he ran with it. After the ceremony his assistant had music playing for the cocktail hour while they broke down the equipment in the ceremony area. I was blown away by the lights that were brought and the look of everything. Microphones worked for speeches and he even had a stand for those who wanted to use them. We didn’t do a traditional walk in but he announced us perfectly and we ran around the tables saying hello to our friends and family. I would recommend Joey to anyone looking to have an experience for their guests, have a DJ but also want strings all in one. He was professional, timely and for someone who did not have a day of coordination or planner very informative. I wanted vendors to do what they do best and I’m glad I trusted him to provide us with music throughout the day and night!”
