“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “I found Mike via thumbtack & although on there it stated he was booked on my wedding date I thought I’d still reach out to him. I’m so happy I did because he put me in touch with our dj, thankyouteddy and he did an awesome job djing for our wedding! Mike was very informative and gave me plenty of information. He also has you do a questionnaire to help narrow down the right dj for you based off your music preferences. Mike will reached out periodically to follow up & also puts you in touch with the dj the week of the wedding to go over details. Teddy arrived on time and kept everyone on our toes throughout the night. The only thing I will say, is if you’re doing bridal party introductions it’s best to rehearse it if possible. Or give an exact time of the song for your dj to play when each couple comes out.”

“I rented the brown and white dance floor from DSM Dance Party DJs and the dance floor was absolutely beautiful and tied in all of my decor! I initially rented the 12x12 but then needed to make it larger at the very last minute because it looked so small with how our tables were set up, the DSM Dance Party team came back on the day of my wedding to increase it to 15 x 15 which made SUCH a big difference!!! Although, it was extremely inconvenient to come back to my venue and add paneling, they did it, and I could not be more appreciative because it looked absolutely perfect and was full all night long.”

“ASEDJ was a blessing when our original band plan fell through. Shockingly they had availability just months before our wedding but that's due to them having several DJs on staff, not just one. The booking process was thorough - they schedule a call before booking where they provided plenty of info. After booking they provided a website to plan our timeline, must plays, and do not plays. Month of you're given a schedule and are eventually assigned a DJ. They offer a photobooth, dance floor, a DJ with a drummer, as well as wedding planning. Idk if they would have been our first choice when we began planning but they were extremely thorough and helpful when we needed them the most! Only complaint was they didn't come close to playing all of our "must" plays but otherwise a great vendor and well experienced in tons of Des Moines Metro venues which is a huge plus.”

The very first time I spoke with Erica I just fell in love with her warmth, kindness, professionalism and confidence. We laughed so much on the first call I knew immediately I had to hire her. After the call, my fiancé said that musician you spoke with made you so happy you better just hurry up and hire her. I never even spoke to another musician…I knew none could even come close to Erica. I hired Erica in July for my December Disney wedding. I never felt rushed, overwhelmed or anything stressful. Erica is so kind, her voice is ethereal and she knows how to read a room. She even recommended an amazing officiant to me when I was struggling to find one. Erica was the hit of my wedding, when she started singing to open the ceremony a bird flew up to her, perched next to her and sang with her. “I don’t know where to start with Dillon and Electric Sugar…. They were incredible. Plain and simple. I worked with Dillon leading up to wedding weekend and he was kind, prompt, professional, and fun. We worked together to create a set list that was perfect for our taste in music. Dillon also played guitar at our ceremony and it was beautiful. He did a combo of guitar and prerecorded music per our request and it was perfect. He brought all the equipment needed for our officiant to have a microphone as well. The Electric Sugar band as a whole played for our reception. We had them for 3 hours and the dance floor was packed for 3 hours. They were so much fun and SO talented!!! It was the best party and they were a huge reason behind it! I would recommend them to anyone for their wedding or any other occasion they are looking to add spice and energy too. If we ever host another event where music is needed I would book them in a heartbeat”
