“Kelly did a phenomenal job !!!! We had a trial which I went to with just about zero idea what I wanted, and she knocked it out of the park…sent me home looking gorgeous and then followed up the next day to see how everything held up/what needed changed. The day of the wedding, not only did she do my makeup, but she also did my bridesmaid and my flower girl who she’d never met before. All three of us looked probably the best we’ll ever look, lol. I was so busy, I didn’t touch my face up at all and my make up still looked great by the end of the night. Leah did our hair and she also did a GREAT job !! I have curly, frizzy hair and am almost never satisfied when someone else works on it. Not only did it look beautiful, but it stayed in place all night! My flower girl has very silky hair and hers also stayed in! I almost wish I could have another wedding. So I could book them again! Highly, highly impressed with both girls.”

“The number one thing people said to me when they said hello was “wow your makeup looks beautiful.” Veronica is SO talented, that alone is enough of a reason to choose her as your makeup artist. But not only did she do an incredible job, she was so caring and kind, and she and her team brought great vibes to the getting ready space. Two weeks before my wedding I had a really bad breakout and had some textured and hyperpigmented spots on my face. I was so worried and insecure about them. I emailed her as a heads up and asked if there was anything she recommended doing. She wrote me back right away with a compassionate, thorough, and extremely helpful response. I got the things she suggested, which I’ll be using from now on and she was able to cover the remaining spots perfectly. No one could tell they were there and it lasted all night through hugs and dancing. I felt so confident on my wedding day because of her. And my girls were absolutely glowing. “I loved working with AMG Beauty Bar. Everyone was so easy to work with and I loved that I was able to schedule a trial with enough time to make a final decision. I loved how responsive AMG was and also appreciated the ability to text them since it can be tricky finding time to communicate with every vendor once the 1 month mark hits. I do wish we discussed the need for a 3rd artist at the time of booking, but Ashley Gallo was able to connect with me right away and guide me through since I am not a wedding makeup expert! She added ease and gave me confidence for the day of execution. I did have a trial with Mia Peters, and I let her know I was looking for something a little more glam and on the day of and she absolutely hit the mark and beyond. I couldn’t have been more ecstatic and excited with how my makeup turned out. I would highly, highly recommend her for your bridal look. I felt so beautiful and wish the day didn’t have to end so I didn’t have to wash my makeup off! I got so many compliments too from guests and other vendors! I also worked with Mia since January to contour my brows. I had Misha pen eyebrows that were uneven and thin. Over a matter of months, Mia was able to help me grow them out and choose them to perfection with an eyebrow pop service every 5 weeks. It made a huge difference since my eyebrows were the frame of my wedding look! Similarly, Vanessa and Devyn Gregorio also did a fabulous job with my bridesmaids. Everyone looked amazing and their makeup complimented their features. If you’re considering AMG - book it! I can’t thank this group of women enough, including the receptionist! Thank you AMG!!!”

“I hired Kelsey for my November 2024 wedding and she and her team exceeded my expectations. I honestly can't stop thinking about how good my hair and makeup looked the day of my wedding. I was admittedly nervous scheduling my trial because I realized the salon is not in Philly, but in Quakertown, which was about an hour drive. However, when I met Kelsey, I was reminded of why I booked in the first place - her personality is so warm and welcoming, funny, and puts you at ease immediately. I had the same exact reaction the morning of my wedding. I received hair and makeup services and my bridesmaids and MOB/MOG had their hair styled by Kelsey's associate. I thought everyone looked gorgeous and as this was one of the more expensive vendors I paid for myself, I did feel like my money was well spent. If you like full, full coverage with heavy foundation, etc I don't think this is the vendor for you. However, I think what Kelsey did with my makeup was even better because it looked so natural, but still looked like I was wearing the right amount of makeup. On top of my hair and makeup already looking perfect in my opinion, it happened to be snowing/freezing rain the day of my wedding and all of our photos were taken outside. My makeup did not budge! I touched up my lip gloss that was about it. My curls fell slightly because of the rain, but I was still very impressed my hairstyle lasted at all because of the weather. Overall, if you're on the fence about whether you'd like a professional to do your hair or makeup for your wedding, I would highly recommend someone like Kelsey who will make you feel like the most beautiful version of yourself and take the stress out of doing it yourself.”

From my first communication with everyone at Shimmer & Spice, I was coached through the process and given helpful tips on skincare etc. When I had my trail, my MUA, Darian, listened to my concerns and exactly what I wanted, and made it happen. She did the same with my mom and my bridesmaids and everyone's makeup turned out great and stayed on all night! I would absolutely recommend Darian specifically, but working with Shimmer & Spice made it easy and hassle free!”
