Drumore Mill was an absolutely stunning venue to use for our special day (really weekend). We loved the ease of booking the venue, touring with Thuy, and the promptness and flexibility they offer. An added bonus is the available on site lodging for rental, which we made great use of for our close friends, family, and wedding party to stay in the night before and night of the wedding. We enjoyed the Great Room in the Grist Mill for our rehearsal dinner. Our guests loved how spacious Drumore Mill was, and we appreciated all the attention to detail such as included (but still optional) decor and greenery, and the setup of chairs and other items for the ceremony space. Being able to bring in all of our own vendors at no additional cost was fantastic. The value for renting the property from Thursday to Saturday morning was unmatched and completely worth it. We would recommend Drumore Mill to anyone, and we look forward to booking the property in the future for non-wedding related stays with friends and family.

The Stone Mill 1792 was incredible. The staff were incredibly responsive, kind, helpful and attentive. We are in disbelief how easy our big day was. The venue is stunning for any event, big or small. Planning my wedding out of state was difficult already, but the staff at TSM were beyond amazing. A lot of venues in the area are VERY expensive for what you receive day of. At TSM, I feel that for the price, I received more than I could have expected. Expectations were exceeded and beyond, and I would recommend this location to anybody. One of my favorite parts of the venue is the reception area. I’ve been to weddings that are in barns or other older buildings. These locations are crammed, difficult to navigate, have awkward seating, and very limited views. At TSM, their reception area is huge and roomy. I loved that I could look out and see all of my friends and family without having a wooden beam in my way. There was enough space for guests to get food, dance, talk, and be comfortable in the space without stepping on toes and dresses.

Our ceremony through the arches and our pictures under the willow tree absolutely stunning—everything came together to create the most beautiful backdrop for our vows. I honestly can't say enough amazing things about The Antrim 1844 Hotel! We had the most incredible wedding experience here, and I'm so grateful we found this gem. We actually heard about Antrim from a coworker whose family had their wedding there last spring. It wasn't even on our radar before that, but now I can't imagine our wedding taking place anywhere else! During our planning process, we got to see so many different weddings they were hosting, and I was blown away by their unique ability to make everything from small intimate gatherings to expansive celebrations not just work, but work beautifully! They really know how to adapt to each couple's vision. Working with Jill was such a joy! She made the entire planning process feel effortless and actually fun. She was so flexible with all our changes and took the time to walk us through backup plans for weather, which gave us such peace of mind knowing we were covered no matter what. We got lucky with lovely weather and got married in their rose garden, and oh my goodness - it was so breathtakingly gorgeous that we barely needed to add any decorations! The natural beauty spoke for itself and created the most romantic, dreamy backdrop for our vows. Having so many family members and friends traveling to join us, the wedding weekend stay option was a game-changer! The complimentary breakfast for overnight guests was such a thoughtful touch - it meant everyone could wake up together and start each day without any stress about finding food. It really made the whole wedding weekend feel like one big family celebration. The bridal suite in the main mansion was absolutely perfect for getting ready! There was space for our entire wedding party plus my mom and friends to get ready together, and it provided the most beautiful backdrop for photos. We got so many stunning getting-ready shots in that gorgeous space! The food was absolutely delicious - both during our tasting and on the big day! Our guests are still raving about it. The team worked so seamlessly with all our other vendors too, making sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. We were thrilled about the veterans discount, which let us add some extra special touches like a dessert bar, upgraded appetizers, and shade canopies for the ceremony. They made it so easy to customize everything within our budget. Every single guest has told us what an amazing time they had, and we're already excited to come back for anniversaries! We've heard their holiday decorations are absolutely spectacular, so we're definitely planning a winter visit. If you're looking for a venue that combines stunning natural beauty, incredible service, amazing food, and a team that genuinely cares about making your day perfect, The Antrim 1844 Hotel is IT. We couldn't have asked for a more magical place to start our life together!

We truly could not have asked for a better experience than what we had with Alaina Rineman and the team at Hotel Gettysburg. Together, they made our wedding weekend seamless, stress-free, and truly unforgettable. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, but Alaina made the entire process feel manageable and even enjoyable. From the very beginning, Alaina was phenomenal. She responded to my initial inquiry within minutes and remained just as attentive throughout the entire planning process. She was always available to answer questions, walk through details, and offer thoughtful suggestions. She really took the time to get to know us as a couple, which made her suggestions feel personal and meaningful. On the wedding day, Alaina handled everything behind the scenes flawlessly. Any hiccups were taken care of immediately, and we never felt stressed or distracted. She also went above and beyond for our guests, especially ensuring accommodations for those staying at the hotel and even arranging a to-go meal for a guest observing a religious fast. That level of care meant so much to us. Hotel Gettysburg itself was the perfect venue. Located right in the heart of downtown, it offered a beautiful mix of historic charm and convenience. Our guests loved being able to walk around the square, and the hotel provided so many great gathering spaces—including One Lincoln, the Hotel’s own bar and restaurant. The on-site Starbucks was also a huge bonus! The on-site catering was also exquisite. We chose to do a buffet and the food choices were all delicious! Many of our guests returned for second and third helpings of the entrees. The highlight for me is how incredibly picture-worthy the Hotel is, with stunning spots both inside and outside (the bank vault in the ballroom was a favorite!) for amazing wedding photos. Even with nearly 200 guests, the space allowed for comfortable mingling and dancing. The bridal suite and thoughtful touches like packaged cake slices, chocolate-covered fruit, and souvenir champagne glasses made us feel so special. Pro Tip: I also highly recommend working with Visit Gettysburg. They provided free welcome packets for our guests filled with brochures, discounts, and even kid-friendly items, which enhanced the experience for our guests that stayed the full weekend. Because of Alaina, I felt completely at ease and confident that everything was in good hands. When I look back on our wedding day, she is absolutely part of those memories—not just as a coordinator, but as someone who helped make the day feel so special. If you’re considering a Gettysburg wedding, Alaina and her team will take amazing care of you from start to finish. (Photos captured by Megan Gingrich with MG Photography)

Having our wedding at Hazelwood was one of the best decisions we made - and boy was it fate! As we started wedding planning as two non-native Pennsylvanians, we had no clue where we were going to have our wedding. A friend from church said, "Hey I don't know if you are still looking for a venue, but my high school english teacher owns one out in New Oxford. She is awesome and is super affirming and the venue looks great if you ever wanted to check it out." We went home and looked at the website and were instantly hooked. We got in contact with Kate and Adam, set up a tour and got all of the lovely planning resources that were so helpful to our process. Hazelwood was the first venue we toured. Kate was so kind and meeting her felt like catching up with an old friend. As a queer couple, Kate and Adam were so so affirming and told us that we would never see the words "groom" on our contracts or have to worry about any of the vendors. We walked away from the tour thinking "Did we just find our venue???? No we couldn't have, it was only the first tour..." Well, we went to one other place and immediately texted Kate and Adam saying "So what date's do you have??" Hazelwood was the perfect blank canvas to make the colors of our day pop! The partnership they have with Blake Events was SO SO helpful especially as people who lived 2.5 hours away and did not know any vendors in the area. Their catering partners were so diverse in food and budget and it allowed us to choose what was best for us. The day of, everything was utterly perfect. We did not have to worry about a thing! We were able to just be present in our day and soak it all in. The Hazelwood and Blake Events team made sure we were handed food and drinks the minute we walked up the aisle. They made sure that we got what we wanted out of our day. We cannot recommend Hazelwood enough to people. It was so perfect, there was never a worry about weather or space or anything going wrong. We knew that we had the best venue and the best team to make it all perfect and they did. We are forever grateful for the way the fates aligned and for Kate teaching high school English! We could not have had a more perfect day.

The Lodges at Gettysburg was a beautiful, magical place to host our wedding! From the get-go, Beth Senseney was wanting to help make our dreams a reality. She answered ALL of my many questions throughout the wedding process, and is very good at her job. It was very convenient to have everything on property, from ceremony-reception to the afterparty. The bridal suite is gorgeous, and our day-of coordinator, Matia, was phenomenal. She’s on top of everything, and quick to resolve little issues, like when a bridesmaid didn’t have a chair. Matia was even down by the ceremony site fanning me before I walked down the aisle, because I was crying- it was such a wonderful day, and all of our guests kept saying how much they enjoyed it. The food was delicious, and the champagne was amazing. Coming back to our lodge at the end of the evening, we found cupcakes and extra food from the reception in our mini fridge, and couldn’t help but smile. While it was an expensive choice of venue/food, as the food is required to come from the Lodges, you get what you pay for. There was a miscommunication with the welcome bags, and the front desk employee did not seem to enjoy her job, but we figured it out (thank you!). Thank you, Beth, Matia, and the team, for helping us have the best day, ever!

Famed, Elegant and Unique! Renovated from farmhouse to Mansion in 1872, Bowling Brook was one of the most significant horse training facilities in the nation boasting 7 Preakness winners. The mansion has been fully restored with elegant finishes while maintaining the original historic detail and charm. Located in Carroll County, Maryland and minutes away from Frederick County, Maryland.

  • Provides a dedicated team on-site
  • Combines timeless elegance with history
  • Classic elegance

Venue considerations

  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
  • No in-house catering options
  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
Bowling Brook Mansion is incredible! This is a truly special venue. We offer our strongest possible recommendation, and our earnest thanks, to Debbie and her staff for making our wedding day more beautiful than we had ever imagined. The venue itself is gorgeous. The mansion is colorful and picturesque; the indoors are classy but not cluttered; the grounds are sprawling and luscious. We held our ceremony in a gorgeous, decorated, wooded grove, and took photos throughout the surrounding farmlands. We were very happy with the amount of space our guests had available to roam and mingle inside and outside the mansion. The ballroom was spacious, and with a cool summer evening, we were able to open an outdoor patio/tent area for guests to socialize. Also, when the evening wound down, we went to the roofdeck with close family and friends for a late afterparty under the stars—a gorgeous night in the countryside! Debbie and her staff are amazing. We can’t say enough about Debbie herself. She treated us like a member of her family, not just another customer. She was also easy to reach and easy to talk to throughout the planning process. She worked to understand our needs and sincerely respected our vision for our wedding, making several accommodations for our plans—such as permitting us to select off-list vendors, working with our family’s arrival time needs, and allowing us to stay in the honeymoon suite before the wedding. On our wedding day, she stayed on top of managing the vendors so that we could focus on enjoying ourselves. We owe a special thanks to Debbie’s staff for helping out in the aftermath of a hurricane. During the week before our wedding, the remnants of a tropical storm swept through Maryland. We were very worried that we would have to commit to an indoor ceremony, but the storm cleared late on Friday night, and Saturday was temperate and picturesque. Debbie and her staff arrived early Saturday morning and worked very hard to get the mansion and the grounds ready. Their hard work made our wedding day everything we wanted it to be. Thanks again to Debbie and her team. If you’re getting married in Maryland, we earnestly encourage you to consider Bowling Brook! (Photo Credit: Tom Bennett Photography)

We booked a tour with Cold Saturday Farm on a whim, but holy cow am I glad that we did! We met with Brittany on a pretty dreary day in the winter, and even then I could see the beauty in the venue. It truly is a blank canvas that you can really make your own. Plus, the venue checked all the boxes that were super important to us: onsite getting ready spaces for both us, free onsite parking, guest tables and chairs included, and access to the venue all day. For the price, it was a great value. Brittany did end up leaving Cold Saturday, and we do wish that had been proactively communicated to us, but her replacement, Meredith, was fantastic, especially because she started the week before our wedding (I'm pretty sure we were her first wedding at the venue). But she was incredibly helpful and friendly--we actually had guests come up to us and tell us how awesome she was! The only other thing I wish we had known ahead of time was that the getting ready room the guys used didn't have any furniture. It was still being worked on during our tours, so we didn't actually see the room until the day of. So the room may have furniture at some point. Overall, we loved Cold Saturday Farm. It is truly a hidden gem (none of our vendors have ever worked there before but all of them said they loved it), so I really love that it was a pretty unique and beautiful place to have our wedding.

Both the ceremony and reception were held at the venue, and everything was absolutely perfect. The scenery is stunning—peaceful, picturesque, and the ideal backdrop for such a special day.
