Austin Catering

  • Serves Manor, TX

Austin Catering is a full-service boutique catering company offering custom menu design and personalized event planning services. Our passion for food, artistic presentation, and focus on flawless event execution is what sets us apart and is the core of what creates the Austin Catering experience. The breadth of experience and logistical savvy our catering team brings to the table will put you at ease knowing that your only concern will be what shoes to wear!

“While every aspect of our catering experience was wonderful, this review is especially for Gabrielle! From our initial inquiry through our final transaction, Gabrielle answered countless questions from us, always being professional and patient as we changed quantities, dishes, and bar setups. We had a delightful time at our tasting, and the food was all delicious. We got many compliments from our guests about enjoying their meals, and it looked like everything ran very smoothly. We also got our cake and desserts from Austin Catering, and they did an absolutely lovely job with the decoration that we requested. They even packed up cake leftovers for our guests and sent us to our mini moon with extra cake and food for the road. We did a lot of comparing catering services when planning our wedding, but Austin Catering struck that great balance of being within budget, but not sacrificing quality or our wedding vision. We strongly recommend Gabrielle and the Austin Catering team!”

La Pera Catering
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
  • Serves Manor, TX

Let's create your dream menu! Our culinary & planning team will consult with you to work up fun seasonal and locally inspired menus, cocktail hour pairings, pop up dessert bars & even dream up custom options that scream YOU TWO! We will walk through the in’s and out’s of your special day, coordinate with all vendors involved and review service styles that are the best fit for your venue, layout & overall flow of the event. You can expect colorful, beautifully presented - and most importantly delicious options with a little Latin flare to choose from at every budget level, that everyone in the crowd will enjoy!

“La Pera came highly recommended by several of our other vendors, and we were immediately drawn to their colorful presentation and those ridiculously good-looking grazing boards. The only question was: would the food actually taste as good as it looked? (Spoiler: emphatically yes.) We were planning our wedding from New York, and we wanted the food to tell our story. We envisioned food stations that pulled from different parts of our lives: Japanese food because that’s where we got engaged, Mexican and Texan food because we’re both originally from Texas and love Mexico, and some representation of New York, where we now live. It was a pretty specific brief, potentially an annoying one even, but Beth and Liz were immediately enthusiastic about it rather than trying to steer us toward something more straightforward and cookie-cutter. That enthusiasm really carried through the process. The tasting with Liz at their space in South Austin was a lot of fun, and getting to try such a broad selection helped us figure out what we actually wanted on the final menu. The La Pera team was also game to create menu items specifically for us, rather than limiting to their existing options. The best example was a karaage bar they developed for the wedding, which was an absolute smash with our guests. And they didn't stop at the dinner - the grazing board and dessert table were both completely gorgeous and absolutely delicious. On the wedding day, everything was seamless. The food stations were fun and gave the reception a really nice sense of movement, and we never had a single issue with the catering or service. The bar staff in particular have achieved legendary status among our guests, who still bring them up when we talk about the wedding. More than anything, we felt like La Pera understood that the food was an important part of making the wedding feel like our wedding, and they were excited to run with that. We had a great time eating and drinking our way through the reception, which is pretty much exactly what we wanted.”

“I worked with Hank's for my wedding shower and from the beginning to end, they made the process so enjoyable. I originally planned on hosting the event in their cafe, but found another venue during planning. Kate was extremely flexible with accommodating the change without any extra work on my part. They have a great variety of food that every guest enjoyed. Their gluten free and vegetarian options go a long way and are just as delicious. I was impressed with the amount of food provided. It was plenty for my guest count and then some! I would absolutely recommend them for any special occasion.”

RedBook Events
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)

Chef Adriana had carried two things with her since she was a child: a passion for food, and a red notebook. Through mock restaurants in her family home cooking meals for her sisters and friends before prom to culinary school, pastry classes, and working on the line at busy restaurants, her Red Book stayed full of ideas. And when she filled one, another Red Book took its place.

“Adriana with RedBook Events was an excellent choice for our wedding planner. Even with our hectic schedule, she made time for meetings . She paid attention to every detail, even with our crowd of 200 guests. She made sure the groom felt like it was his day too, and was always our advocate. In general, Adriana is just fun to work with. Every single person on their team was so kind, professional, and accommodating. Sterling Events Hospitality is an experienced wedding catering company based in Central Austin. Since 1995, we have customized menus for our couples, catering to their palette and budget. We are the preferred caterer for some of Central Texas’s most prominent venues.

“We had such a good experience working with Lauren and Sterling Events! We signed an all inclusive contract with our venue and had two options for catering, but the venue owner heavily encouraged us to go with Sterling and I am so glad they did. They provided the meal and our bar service and I’m pleased with the way it all turned out! The appetizers passed during cocktail hour were definitely our favorite part (the chicken and waffles were a big hit with our guests too!) The meal was definitely classic wedding food, but superior to other meals I’ve had at weddings! The staff working the night were some of the nicest people too!! Everyone was smiling and seemed happy - which is not something I’ve experienced at a wedding before. Overall, such a good experience and really helped to elevate our night. Thank you so much!!”

LAV Sushi started the way a lot of good things do: a bride who needed to pay for her own wedding. Four years and 10,000+ guests later, it's a full team of chefs serving Houston, Austin, and Dallas. We offer sushi stations, roaming hand rolls, poke bars, seated omakase, and hands-on sushi classes, for weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, and welcome parties. Founder Lavinia is the daughter of immigrants, raised on the idea that hospitality means feeding people well and no one feels overlooked. “Must book! It was the absolute highlight of our wedding and everyone was raving about not only the presentation but the sushi itself! We had LAV Sushi as a station for our cocktail hour and the team was extremely helpful in figuring out which package and for how many guests would be best. If it's even a thought, just do it! Wild Whisk
Rating: 4.3 (3 reviews)
  • Starts at $750
  • Serves Manor, TX

We are a private family boutique business working alongside our 4 children to teach them work ethic and business principles. My husband is an attorney and the “meat master” of the operation and I am a former pro makeup artist who now bosses people around about their appetizers and their aesthetic. We attended so many events where the food just sucked…..we knew we could do better and here we are, killing it in catering!!

“Our wedding was made even more memorable thanks to the exquisite catering provided by Wild Whisk. From the outset, their team demonstrated professionalism and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of our wedding meal was nothing short of perfect. One of the highlights of their service was the Chicken Picatta. It was a hit among our guests, who raved about the perfectly cooked chicken, the balance of flavors in the sauce, and how it paired beautifully with the green beans and mash potatoes. The dish was not only delicious but also presented with elegance, adding a touch of class to our wedding dinner. But the culinary delights began even before the main course. Wild Whisk's appetizers were a topic of conversation throughout the evening. Each appetizer was a burst of flavor, beautifully presented, and served with the perfect accompaniment. My personal favorite was the couscous! I ate probably 3 of them in between socializing with our guests. What set Wild Whisk apart was their commitment to quality and flavor. It was evident that they used high-quality, fresh ingredients, and their culinary skills shone through in every dish they served. The service staff was also impeccable, providing attentive and friendly service that made our guests feel well taken care of throughout the evening. Choosing Wild Whisk as our caterer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Their dedication to creating a memorable dining experience for us and our guests was apparent in every detail. We received numerous compliments on the food, and many guests asked for their contact information for their own events. We cannot thank Wild Whisk enough for their part in making our wedding day so special. Their exceptional food, outstanding service, and the overall dining experience they provided were beyond our expectations. We highly recommend Wild Whisk to anyone looking for catering services that truly stand out.”

Thistlewood Catering
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
  • Starts at $1,600
  • Serves Manor, TX

The Thistlewood team works to create beautiful and customized events for our couples, from delicious dining, amazing service, and stunning flowers and decor. Delicious food is a highlight of any great event. Next to the Bride and Groom, it is generally the most remembered element by your guests. Prepared fresh on-site from scratch and served immediately to you and your guests, our menus are delightful and customizable to fit your style.

“I cannot say enough great things about the Thistlewood team. My wife and I knew we wanted something on the moodier side and less traditional. From start to finish our wedding coordination was handled by Veronica. She accommodated our darker color palette and vampire theming, going above and beyond to make the details throughout the day feel beautiful and on theme. She created custom signage, beautiful tablescaping, and day of coordination that really pulled everything together. A true professional in her field, she added on details I hadn’t even considered that guest really enjoyed. A few days before our wedding, the weather was forecasted to be rainy and it completely stressed us out since we were planning on doing an outdoor ceremony. I am honestly so glad we had Veronica and Violet handling our day of coordination. The two had created a rainy day plan that moved our ceremony indoors, and were able to pivot so the event still looked and felt elegant despite the last minute change. The moody velvet drapery, the blood stones hanging over centerpieces, and the countless black roses were all touches Veronica and Violet added throughout the venue without being prompted, just because they knew it would pull the vision together. The ladies even took extra care when setting up our memorial table and handled family photos and heirlooms with dignity. We opted to do catering in house, and it was easily one of the best decisions we made. Chef Santino, Harlan, and Tommy took care of us brides and our brides maids with breakfast on site and elaborate meals for our guest in the evening. Our catering package included a carving table, and it was a huge hit with our guest throughout dinner service. Wait staff Olivia, Nalleli, and Taylor were very mindful of guests food allergies, and accommodate our various nuts, gluten, and dairy free needs without any trouble. It was so nice to have those alternative options available without feeling like we were pulling teeth for needing those substitutions. The last thing i wanted to worry about was someone accidentally eating something that would make them sick. Our alcohol package included signature cocktails and mocktails that Kendalin and Dana handled beautifully. Even the cocktails were on theme with iconic vampire names and glitter details. We were really glad that they were able to accommodate imported soju onto the drink menu. Our queer wedding was a labor of love, and the staff really showed out. It really felt like the only thing I had to do on the day of was show up. So many of the meticulous details were handled in staff by the admin team, and everyone worked with and around each other to make it happen.”
