“Melissa and Casey and the rest of the team at RSVP were wonderful to work with! We ended up needing a few tastings because my husband and I have certain dietary preferences and RSVP went above and beyond to accomodate those while also making us feel like we had options that were well thought through and delicious! We eat mostly plant based and while most caterers had made us feel like this was difficult and they could not accomodate this, RSVP offered us numerous options and the capability to modify anything we wanted. It was such a wonderful experience and the food turned out incredible! We also had a few signature drinks and Melissa gave us excellent feedback and helped us really understand what amount of alcohol and other items we should be providing so that their bartenders could give our guests the best experience possible. All of the drinks were absolutely delicious and excecuted perfectly! We had so many fun details like late night french fries with vegan aoili and espresso maritinis and our guests raved about this!! Casey started off as our point of contact and she was fabulous but had to step back for personal reasons and Melissa stepped up and did a fabulous job executing everything that Casey and I had discussed! It was a seemless transition and Casey and Melissa's professionalism is certainly to be admired on a team. I also want to mention the staff at RSVP, the waitstaff and bartenders were lead by a Lead Server that also was at our tasting and he executed our vision beautifully. He knew our dietary needs and ensured we had ample food options on our table at all times while making sure that we weren't given things we couldn't eat on accident. The staff were incredibly kind, hard working, and professional. I highly recommend RSVP for both their excellent teammembers and their delicious plant based and non-plant based food options!”

“Helgas helped bring my vision to life after another (more expensive) caterer told me it was not possible. We did a Made To Order pasta bar experience and it was exactly what I had envisioned. There were multiple chefs crafting dishes at a time so things went smooth and quick and the food was absolutely delicious. It tasted exactly the same as it did at our tasting and we got everything what we wanted from the quality of the food to the beautiful display. The only picture I have is from the tasting because I’m still waiting for pictures but it was an incredible experience from start to finish.”

“We hired POTR to cater our wedding at Josephine Butler Parks Center at the beginning of November 2024 and I was completely blown away by their service from the time we contacted them a year ago through clean up at the end of the night. POTR was stellar and flawless in every step of the way. We initially worked with Mila, who was responsive, professional and so helpful in helping us decide a menu. Planning a menu and catering for 150 people with different dietary needs but also staying within budget was no easy task. Mila presented us with a few options, and we chose a buffet with both meat and vegetarian options, as well as an antipasto display for cocktail hour. When we went in for the tasting, the food was amazing. We selected the top round, sesame chicken, portobello mushroom pasta, roast veggies, and mashed potatoes for our buffet, but we had such a difficult time deciding what to select because it was all so tasty. For the last three months leading up to the wedding, we ended up working with Bobby Mitchell and he was also phenomenal. When we did the walk through, he answered all of our questions (we had a lot) gave us advice on what would be the best seating arrangements, where to place the buffet, the best table sizes for the setups, and he even helped recommend contrasting colors for a few of the tablecloths and it looked amazing (we are so glad we took his advice!). His knowledge was invaluable and he readily answered the phone when we had questions. Within two weeks of the wedding, I requested a change to the vegetarian option (we ended up going with the butternut squash ravioli) and they were happy to accommodate. We didn’t try it at the tasting, but since the food was delicious, we were confident it would be good. It ended up being a hit at our wedding—people loved the ravioli, which sat on top of spaghetti squash. It was so good—even the non-vegetarians raved about it! On the day of the wedding, POTR knocked it out of the park. They were on time, set up everything flawlessly and efficiently. During our cocktail hour, Bobby brought us up a plate of food from the antipasto display (the tortellini are delicious!) and drinks to make sure we ate. We also heard compliments from the guests that the antipasto was so good and delicious. Also, since our venue was a tight space, we ended up using the same room for the ceremony and the reception. POTR turned it around within an hour. I wish I took photos of the room because it was beautiful! During dinner, Bobby brought us plates of food to make sure we ate, which was invaluable since one of the tips we have gotten several times is to make sure you eat at your wedding. When it came time for clean up, they were the pros. They broke everything down, cleaned it all up, and were done within an hour. Bobby also gave us extra food that was not served (we ordered extra just in case) and he had it packed up neatly and ready for us to go at the end of the night. We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing caterer. Bobby is phenomenal and POTR has delicious food, is professional, and they clearly know what they are doing. I can’t sing their praises enough. If you are looking for an amazing caterer, look no further. POTR will impress you and, true to their name, they will be “putting on the ritz” for you. We are so grateful for POTR making our day extra special!”

“We worked with Genesis Delight Catering at the recommendation of our venue manager at Sweeney Barn. We formed a close working relationship with Dianna over the course of wedding planning, as we also contracted her as our day of coordinator through her event planning business, Sublime Event Coordination. GDC and Dianna have a strong working knowledge of Sweeney Barn and close working relationships with the venue manager, which makes them a great option if you're having your wedding there. Pros of our experience with GDC: -They have an extensive menu and are willing to be flexible to match your vision. My family is predominantly located in New York, and New York weddings tend to have very over the top cocktail hours. That was not common in the standard packages offered by the caterers we spoke to in Virginia. However, through the use of their extensive party platter options and Dianna's expertise, we were able to add more into the cocktail hour than the standard options and still stay within budget. It wasn't a New York cocktail hour, but there were plenty of options and no one went hungry. -GDC provided the bar (which honestly wasn't overly expensive and saved us the pain of having to coordinate bringing our own alcohol, which no one wants to deal with on the day of their wedding) and worked with us on identifying signature cocktails that could be batched by their bartenders based on our preferences. They also worked with us to swap out some of their standard wine and liquor options to similarly priced items that we enjoy. -Sweeney Barn only has a warming kitchen, and we appreciated Dianna working with us to ensure that we could still have a small dance set at the start of our reception without impacting the quality of the food. -GDC works directly with rental companies, saving you the trouble (we rented Chiavari chairs), and they have nice complementary table setting options. Props to Dianna for identifying a floral napkin option in stock to fit with our overall decor theme! -Staff made sure the bride and groom were taken care of at all times, which was a really nice touch. We received many compliments on the food, including the presentation of entrees at dinner. Strongly recommend GDC, especially if you're working at one of their frequented venues like Sweeney Barn, to make your planning and execution as seamless as possible.”

All of the food was plated beautifully! Even our salad had eatable flowers! (I mean come on) and I really just could not have asked for anything more from simply fresh! For our cocktail hour we did crab cakes, stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta! For dinner we did a garden salad, a chicken option, a steak option and a veggie option they were all to die for! His whole approach to fresh, farm-to-table food is refreshing and delightful. He knows this industry inside and out and is so helpful when helping you understand how much of everything you need and what not to spend your money on and stuff like that. And the food...the food is impeccable. So delicious. And he tries to make sure that it tells your story. He wants to know if you have a favorite snack or spent a year abroad and liked a certain treat from that country. He'll work it in some way. It's amazing. He makes your menu personal to you as a couple, not just some bland chicken and overcooked steak. Every dish was fresh and delicious, beautifully presented, and our guests loved the custom cocktails (the espresso martinis & orange crushes were a hit!). The staff was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. They worked seamlessly with our other vendors and made the day stress-free. Blind Tiger brought style, flavor, and amazing service. 12/10 would recommend to any couple planning their wedding!”

I had not thought about how important our caterers ability to work seamlessly with our planner and venue’s facilities planner was prior to delving into planning. It was undoubtedly an asset! Tawney was there for all of our minor revisions, add ons, tweaks, tasting, final walk through, last minute dance floor additions, and after we walked down the aisle. Her staff were exceptional. Drinks were waiting for us after the ceremony, and one of the staff was dedicated to us as the bride and groom through out the night to make sure we ate!!! I really cant compliment them enough. Now- for the food it’s self!!! Delicious and very accommodating to dietary needs such as gf versions of things and veg and vegan options. Simply the best!”
