We cannot express enough gratitude to The Faded Poppy for the breathtaking floral arrangements they created for our wedding bouquets! From our very first consultation, The Faded Poppy was an absolute pleasure to work with. They listened intently to our vision, adjusted as we worked through the vision, offered excellent suggestions, and truly understood the aesthetic we were hoping to achieve. They even kindly helped us work through last minute freak outs, haha. The communication throughout the entire process was professional and reassuring. On the wedding day, when the bouquets arrived and filled the space, they were stunning and added that pop of color we were looking for. They were even more breathtaking than we could have imagined - fresh, vibrant, and perfectly arranged, capturing the essence of our day with such elegance. Every detail was meticulously handled, and the quality of the flowers was exceptional. The Faded Poppy played such a significant role in making our wedding day feel magical and beautiful. We received countless compliments on the flowers, and they looked absolutely incredible in al our photos. We wholeheartedly recommend The Faded Poppy to any couple looking for a truly talented and professional florist who will bring their floral dreams to life for the big day! Thank you again for everything! Sasha and Jonathan Thomas

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.8 (100 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Millboro Springs, VA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
Flower Moxie was a great floral vendor. Their wide range of diy tutorials was very helpful, and our florist helped us form a vision for our wedding flowers. We were very happy with how our flowers turned out, and proud we could have a hand in diy-ing this aspect of our wedding.

One of the most important components to me for our wedding was the flowers. I chose Poppy Flowers because of the look I wanted for the ceremony and reception and with the lower minimum cost required compared to other florists. We went with a pastel theme given we had a spring wedding. I had countless complements on the centerpieces at the reception – they were gorgeous. They were the perfect match for elegant look I wanted. My bouquet and my husband’s boutonniere were also beautiful and what we were expecting. The website was a little glitchy for me in a couple of instances (the IT people had to address the issues) – hopefully they have all of those issues resolved now. Aside from those minor issues, we were very pleased with our decision to go with Poppy. Thank you for providing the gorgeous flowers for our day!

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Misha is an absolutely fantastic florist and a wonderful human. Within 5 minutes of our first call, I knew I wanted to work with her. We were planning a slightly unorthodox wedding & Misha understood our vision immediately! She ran with it and created the most beautiful flowers, from my bouquet to the decorative flowers around our venue, she made our dream come to life! And all throughout the process, she was so kind, not just handling the vision but also checking in on me as a person, and taking stress off of my plate. If you get the opportunity to work with Misha, TAKE IT!!!!!! She is simply the best.

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (43 reviews)
  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Millboro Springs, VA

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
I was so impressed with The Faux Bouquets for our wedding! Brittany, the owner, was incredibly quick to respond, thorough in her communication, and had such a friendly and fun personality. She really went above and beyond to make sure we got the perfect faux floral arrangements for our big day. The quality of their work is truly unique and you can tell they are so passionate about what they do. We were able to take advantage of a special deal on the flowers I wanted, and they even upgraded some of the pieces for free! Compared to other faux floral companies in the area, we were able to get much more for our money. I'm so glad I took the time for the 15 minute consultation with Brittany - it was so helpful to see the items at scale and she customized our order perfectly. Our wedding is not until 2027 but we got them early and I LOVE them. I also like that the suites aren’t cookie cutter so each of my bridesmaids have their own style.

🌹 WE ARE NOT FRESH FLOWER FLORISTS. WE WORK WITH WOOD & FAUX FLOWERS. PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE THIS IN YOUR REPLY. 🌹 Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jen was AMAZING to work with! When it came to flowers for my wedding, I had NO IDEA what I wanted. She was very patient with me and helped talk me through my vision. She gave me flowers to pick from, talked about how big I wanted my bouquet and how much greenery I wanted, and then when I could find colors I liked in swatches, she color-matched the colors I wanted from an inspo pic I found online! She was very professional and patient with me, even when my plans changed or I needed to add to my order.  I am not the best at putting together a bouquet. I am also someone who likes control, especially when it came to planning my wedding. I was thankful that I was able to give Jen the reins, tell her what I wanted, and watch her make my dreams come true. When I first saw my flowers, I was speechless. She truly did make my floral dreams come true, and now I get to keep my bouquet for the rest of my life! A wooden flower bouquet from Jen is the way to go!

As someone in the wedding industry, I knew that I wanted to hire someone completely capable of carrying out my vision and all of the intricate details on my wedding day. Having worked with Ket before as a freelancer, I knew immediately that I wanted Ket and her team to create the florals for my fall wedding. Ket was patient and attentive to detail with all of my requests, checking in throughout the planning process to ensure that all of the things she had in mind for the wedding matched what I was dreaming of. On the wedding day, when I saw the flowers at our ceremony, I was floored and immediately in tears. Hi there, I'm Jessica! One of my favorite things about being a wedding florist is getting to create living art. This kind of art is never stagnant, never monotonous. The medium represents growth, connection and love- a perfect symbol to surround my beautiful couples on their wedding day.

Working with Jessica was a treat. She was an incredible listener and translated our inspiration into reality spectacularly. Her arrangements were dynamic, structural, cohesive and so intentionally crafted. We shared some specific elements/colors we wanted and she was able to run with our ideas and turn them into a full floral design vision board. Jessica had candles and votives, and sourced these gorgeous ribbons for the bouquets. She thoughtfully incorporated all our requests and was happy to adjust throughout the planning process. I can’t recommend her more highly!

The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!

I can't say enough good things about Jessica and Fleurish & Bloom! Throughout the entire planning process she was organized, detailed, communicative, and super knowledgeable about how to bring my floral vision to life. She was flexible with changes I wanted to make and had great ideas for how to incorporate all of the colors and flowers I wanted to include in my bouquets AND helped me get the most out of my floral budget. On my wedding day she greeted me with my GORGEOUS bouquet and her kind, calm demeanor. The florals at my ceremony site were exactly as we discussed, if not better, and she even made sure to add a few extra flower to the signs, which made everything look very cohesive. She repurposed all the ceremony flowers to my reception space without compromising quality, and again did a fantastic job executing my vision for our table flowers and candles. I have had SO many people remark on how stunning the florals were, and I have to completely agree. I couldn't have imagined better!

Honeysuckle Farm is a small flower farm and design studio located in Madison County, VA. We provide arrangements for weddings, events, and special occasions. Our arrangements feature locally and American grown blooms and we practice a sustainable, foam-free approach to floral design.

Awarded Best of Zola
Many amazing qualities - from the sustainable use of in-season plants, aromatic plants, and willingness to help transform bridesmaids bouquets to center-pieces post ceremony, I couldn't recommend Honeysuckle Farm enough. What I appreciated even more was her flexibility in working with my budget - while several florists in the area turned me down when I wasn't able to meet larger minimums, Honeysuckle Farms listened to my priorities list and crafted an offer tailored to what I most wanted. Totally transparent pricing and high-quality work. Florals were not my priority, so we didn't communicate too frequently. When we did speak Honeysuckle was kind, considerate, and showed she was thoughtful and deliberate in questions/responses. I think the communication quantity would have changed if I had more specific requests or a larger purchase. My jaw DROPPED when I saw the wedding arch she made for me. This was far beyond my wildest dreams and (I felt) a REALLY good price. Would recommend Honeysuckle to anyone, but particularly for folks who aren't looking to spend 5k for bouquets and basics***(obviously pricing is based on market and seasonality).

I've made it my mission to hunt these jokers down, wrangle them together, and to serve to you dead off the proverbial platter. In these post-apocalyptic times, the zombie flowers make for excellent mantle trophies, but some have said they make awesome wedding bouquets. They were amazing at their communication leading up to the event and delivered the bouquets promptly according to our schedule the day of the event. Their punctuality gave our models enough time to rehearse the runway with their florals. Aside from their great professionalism, Zombie Flowers is a super creative company. Their floral arrangements can be described as wild, yet put together giving a very unique aesthetic that you can't find from Etsy. Barnswallow Blooms
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
  • Serves Millboro Springs, VA

I have a love for all things wild and natural, scented blossoms, mossy twigs, and starry nights. Flowers simply make my heart sing. I believe the magic of growing and gathering was planted in me years ago as a young girl, working alongside my mother picking wildflowers and lily of the valley. How I create is deeply rooted in who I am; a floral designer, grower, and potter. I feel my art background has been a really strong foundation for floral design as textures, color, and design are all intertwined with both arts.

Awarded Best of Zola
Mary Ann created florals for my fall Virginia wedding that brought tears to my eyes. I wanted a somewhat natural and wild looking bouquet and floral arrangements and she was incredibly creative with natural elements like Japanese maple branches and seed pods all the way through lush fresh buds. Her prices were the best around, she was a delight to work with, and her work was breathtaking.
