“Oh where to begin?! I met Brandon and Kellie during the April 2024 Richmond Bridal Expo. I was just going around signing up for all the give aways and drawings while collecting information. The day after the show, I received an email from DJ Signature saying I won their 2nd place prize and to schedule a meeting. My Fiancé and I set up a meeting via zoom and let the fun begin! We both instantly felt a connection with Brandon and he 100% understood the vibe we were going for. He took the time to go through all the packages and customized our perfect plan. I didn’t need some of the things the package offered so I opted to add in Signature Details (welcome to the party Kellie!) and have access to a wedding coordinator. Kellie joined our zoom call and it was like 4 friends just catching up and having a good time. Once we were done with the zoom, they emailed over everything we discussed along with a contract. We were signed, sealed, delivered within an hour of ending our call. Brandon is very proactive in asking for lists of music you do and don’t want during your ceremony. He also helped me when I was struggling to add certain genres I knew I didn’t want during the reception, and we created a dinner playlist with those songs so everyone was included. The day of the wedding Brandon and his assistants showed up ready to get to work. When I say everything was PERFECT I mean it! The music flowed beautifully and there was no awkward pauses in transitions. It was a special moment for my husband and I too, after pictures we got the chance to talk with Brandon. You could feel the love and support with everything he said and it was an honor to have him with us. Part of the package we did was a cold spark exit. I wasn’t sold on it when we originally talked about it but as we went on I was like ok it’ll be cool. My advice, DO THE COLD SPARKS!!!!!! I’m so glad they convinced me because it was honestly my favorite part of the night. Brandon had to leave after this part of our evening as he had another wedding to do fireworks at and his assistant took over. And that’s when the party started! I wanted it to feel like an early 2000’s-2010’s club vibe full of dancing and fun. They NAILED the mark on it too! Everyone had an absolute blast and I legit felt it for the next few days. He listened to what we were looking for and worked with us to get the best playlist for the age range of our guests. One 19 year old, several in their 50's and the rest in their early 70's. More slow dances than fast. He also helped out the caterer and served iced tea when he saw the pitchers were empty! He even stayed after the reception had ended and helped clear tables. The music selection was fantastic, and he did a wonderful job reading the crowd and knowing exactly what to play to keep everyone entertained and on the dance floor. From our special songs and meaningful moments to the high-energy dancing later in the evening, everything flowed perfectly. One of the things we appreciated most was how easy David was to work with. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but having a DJ who was organized, dependable, and attentive to our requests gave us one less thing to worry about. He listened to what we wanted, incorporated our preferences, and brought his own experience and personality to make the reception feel fun and memorable. I wanted to surprise my mother with a dance and little script to ask her on the dance floor. I asked DJ Squirrel to read the script for me as I knew I wouldn’t make it through. He was very willing to do what I asked but offered a more personal touch!! He gave me the option to record myself saying the script and he blended it into the beginning music of the song! My mom lost it!! What a personal touch and such a thoughtful suggestion! The sound quality and overall presentation were excellent, and David worked seamlessly with the other vendors to help everything stay on schedule. He helped create the perfect atmosphere for every part of the reception, from the special moments to the celebration with family and friends. Our guests had such a great time and had so many positive things to say about the music and entertainment. The dance floor was full, the energy was incredible, and we made so many wonderful memories that we will cherish for years to come. Not only did we use his DJ services, we used his uplighting which made our whole reception space a party vibe, Photo Booth that was personalized with our names and even wedding flowers on the photo strip, and audio guest book to cherish for so many years to come! “Mark was hands down THE best part of our wedding! He was so helpful during the whole planning process. Any questions we had he gave us the best advice. He doubles down as a “Day of Coordinator” as well, making sure the timeline is down to a tee. The lights he set up in our reception was like nothing I’ve seen at any other wedding. “I don’t have enough good things to say about DJ Obehi! As a professional dancer, obviously I’m a firm believer that the DJ can make or break a dance floor, and DJ Obehi absolutely MADE IT! Not only did he pick out music for our dance floor that was so specific and special to us, but he also was an amazing MC throughout the day. He absolutely brought the energy up! The whole process of booking with him was so smooth and easy, and he definitely has an amazing reputation out there - even the ABC license people had heard of him and told me he was the best and they were jealous!
