“A lot of decisions go into planning a wedding. I hope this review makes at least one of them easy for you: Choose Taylor Smith as your photographer.
Her portfolio speaks for itself. The photos are beautiful, and the sneak peeks we received were everything we could have hoped for. But what you can’t see in a portfolio is the person behind the camera, and that’s where Taylor really sets herself apart.
I’ve never been a fan of having my picture taken...probably never will be. I’m much more comfortable being the person snapping photos with my phone than the one standing in front of it. Somehow, Taylor managed to make the whole experience fun.
She gave direction without making anything feel forced, and made me feel comfortable without turning every photo into a production.
And then there was watching her photograph my wife.
I got to stand back and watch Tiffany light up in front of the camera. She’s effortlessly beautiful, and Taylor had this way of bringing that out even more. Watching someone capture the person you love in a way that feels so true to who they are is a pretty special thing. I might not love being in photos, but I could have watched those two work together all day.
The day of our wedding was actually the first time we met Taylor in person. You would never have known it. She felt less like a vendor we hired and more like a friend who happened to be incredibly talented with a camera. She was wonderful from beginning to end, and brought an ease to the day that you don’t fully appreciate until you realize just how much is happening around you.
The sneak peeks were amazing, but honestly, the photos aren’t even the reason I wanted to write this review. It was the experience. It was how comfortable she made us feel, how naturally she fit into the day, and how she managed to make someone who actively avoids cameras walk away genuinely enjoying the experience.
Your wedding day goes by fast. You spend months planning all the little details, and then suddenly you’re in the middle of it, trying to take everything in. The photos are what you get to keep, but the experience of having them taken matters, too.
Taylor absolutely nailed both.
If you’re on the fence, take this as your sign. Hire her. You’ll get beautiful photos, but you’ll also get someone who makes the day itself that much better. We’re incredibly grateful she was part of ours.”
