“Our wedding here was INCREDIBLE and I couldn't recommend it enough. Every single person we worked with was so helpful, kind, and thoughtful and made this process so easy for us. Every single detail was executed perfectly. Every interaction was professional, timely, and warm. For the whole year leading up to our wedding, we felt incredibly supported and cared for. I had so many questions, and the Willowdale team was so prompt, helpful, and kind in their responses. As for the actual wedding, it was a total dream. The food is actually the best food ever... wedding food or not. It's been two months and everyone is still talking about it. The space is GORGEOUS and feels intimate and special while still accommodating larger weddings. Our coordinator, Julia, and the team worked with the florist and all the decor we dropped off ahead of time to execute the design and vision better than I could ever dream up. I was truly shocked when seeing the space - the attention and care to detail was unparallel and so gorgeous. And the BEST PART... On the day of the wedding, there was absolutely nothing to think about or stress about because Julia had it all under control. She communicated throughout the evening and made everything flowed seamlessly. As a result, we really got to just enjoy every single moment of the best day of our lives. All in all... we highly recommend getting married here. I wish we could do it all again. Willowdale and the team are so special. THANK YOU!! PS - the cookies are the best ever.”

“We got married here & LOVED our experience. We chose to go the DIY route and bring in our own catering & vendors (which were no extra fee to do so!) and were so happy to find a venue that allowed us to do that! Adding up all the expenses afterwards though I would highly recommend considering the packages with vendors/catering included as A Simple Affair pricing actually would have saved me a little in the long run and been much easier to do everything in one place. We really enjoyed our experience in booking, planning and day-of with all the A Simple Affair staff! Take advantage of their planning appointments as they are so helpful in nailing down your details and timeline! Also make sure to check out their decor as they have so much you can add on and not have to bring in your own PLUS there is a perfect spot for outdoor photos on the other side of the parking lot!”

“Where do I even begin... Choosing Mountain Crust was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The venue is beautiful, the food is incredible, the drinks are amazing, and the whole place just has the best vibe. But what truly makes Mountain Crust special is the people. Jeff... I honestly don't even know how to put him into words. He's one of the kindest, calmest, most patient people I've ever met. During our reception, my husband and I got to make our own pizza, and Jeff walked us through the whole experience. It wasn't just about making pizza. Somehow, in the middle of the busiest day of our lives, he helped us slow down for a few minutes, laugh together, and actually soak in what was happening. That's a memory I'll never forget, and I still catch myself thinking about what a genuinely wonderful human he is. And Aubrey and Nico... WOW. They are worth their weight in gold. I probably asked to stop by the venue 20 different times before the wedding, and every single time they said, "Of course! Come by whenever." I also sent what felt like a million emails, and Nico somehow replied within minutes almost every time. They never once made me feel like I was asking too much. They made the entire planning process feel easy, and on the wedding day they handled everything so seamlessly that we were actually able to relax and enjoy it. And Ryan... thank you. I know Mountain Crust is your blood, sweat, and tears, and I just want you to know it shows. You've created so much more than a wedding venue. You've created a place where couples get to experience one of the best days of their lives, surrounded by an incredible team that truly cares. We are so incredibly grateful that you made Mountain Crust what it is. Looking back, there isn't a single thing I'd change. Zero regrets. If we could do it all over again, we'd choose Mountain Crust every single time. Thank you, Mountain Crust, for giving us a wedding day we'll never forget.”

“We had a wonderful experience working with Brus and the full Spruce Mountain team. They think of everything when it comes to logistics, and we didn't have to worry about a thing from the moment we showed up on wedding day until the end of the night. Our experience touring the venue a year and a half ago, coming back for the Wine & Nosh event, and doing our 30 day walk through all made the planning process so smooth and exciting for us and our families. The multiple ceremony locations are all gorgeous, and we were thrilled to be able to get married mountainside with the natural beauty of Colorado in the background. Our guests loved cocktail hour and the indoor/outdoor dinner & dancing set up. Spruce is truly a 5 star wedding venue because of its natural beauty and the organization/care the team takes in scoping out all the details, like 2 beautiful getting ready suites for the bridesmaids & groomsmen, shuttles to take guests up mountainside, and open air string lights for late night dancing. Spruce is also a popular spot that many of our vendors were familiar with, which made logistics even smoother since our bartenders, caterer, DJ, planner, and florist had all done multiple weddings at Spruce before and had great recommendations on what could work well with our vision. We hope to come back for future events and are so happy to have gotten married at Spruce!”

“OMG. Liberty House was the most perfect venue for our April 2026 wedding. From our first meeting with our memory maker, throughout the entire planning process, to the day of our beautiful wedding – we were so confident in our decision to choose Liberty House. Casey was so responsive, reliable, and reassuring. Even as a type A anxious bride, I never felt overwhelmed or uncomfortable dealing with the LH team. Even without a perfect view of the city skyline (it was rainy and cloudy on our wedding day), the Liberty Room space was perfect for our wedding with about 90 guests. The rain actually ended up being a blessing in disguise – since no one was outside on the patio, our dance floor was absolutely packed all night. Our timeline was curated and executed perfectly in time with the natural flow of the evening. Our event stylist, maitre d, and bridal attendants on the day of the wedding went above and beyond to make us feel the most special. Another thing that sets Liberty House apart is the guest experience. Our guests still have not stopped raving about the food, drinks, and overall positive energy of the space and team. Our vision was brought to life and genuinely reflected our love and spirit as a couple. So if you are considering Liberty House, I would recommend them 100 times out of 100.”

“We are incredibly grateful to Kacey and the entire team at The Lakehouse for making our wedding day everything we hoped it would be. From the moment we booked the venue, Kacey was amazing. She took the time to get to know us, answered every question, kept us on track, and made the entire planning process feel easy. We always felt like we were in great hands. Most importantly, she listened. Mindy had a vision for our wedding, and Kacey and her team took that vision and brought it to life. Walking into The Lakehouse on our wedding day and seeing everything come together was a moment we will never forget. It was exactly what we pictured, and somehow even better. The day-of team was simply perfect. Every detail felt taken care of, which allowed us to actually be present and enjoy our day with our family and friends. Alex and Kim behind the bar were amazing and added so much to the night. The service from beginning to end was outstanding. And the venue itself? Absolutely stunning. We knew The Lakehouse was special when we chose it, but seeing it filled with all of our favorite people on our wedding day made us appreciate it even more. Kacey, thank you for your patience, your kindness, and everything you did for us from day one through the very end. “We are beyond thrilled that we chose Stonebridge Country Club to celebrate our wedding on June 28, 2025. From the very beginning to the final dance, the entire experience was flawless—and that’s thanks to the incredible team at Stonebridge who truly go above and beyond. In the months leading up to the wedding, we had the pleasure of working with Diana, who is an absolute gem. She’s professional, responsive, and pays close attention to every detail. She truly understood how important this day was for us and made sure we felt calm and confident at every step. Diana reassured us that everything would run smoothly, and it absolutely did—her organization and experience made the planning process seamless and enjoyable. In the final days before the wedding, Brianna also stepped in and was incredibly helpful with a few last-minute changes that, admittedly, felt quite stressful for me. But she handled everything with such ease and positivity, and her reassurance meant so much. Thanks to her support, everything fell into place perfectly. On the day of the wedding, we were lucky enough to be taken care of by Terrance, who we had heard amazing things about—and now we completely understand why. From the second we arrived at Stonebridge after our offsite ceremony, Terrance made sure we were comfortable and that our families were well taken care of. He kept us hydrated, made sure we tasted all of our cocktail hour and dinner selections, and was constantly one step ahead of our needs. One of the most memorable moments of the night was when Terrance ran onto the dance floor with a cold towel and wrapped it around my husband’s head to cool him down. That kind of attentiveness and care is something we’ll never forget. He is truly exceptional! Aside from the incredible service, the venue itself is absolutely stunning. The ballroom features two full walls of floor-to-ceiling windows, giving the room a bright, open feel that made for a beautiful atmosphere all night long. It felt elegant, inviting, and unlike any traditional catering hall. And the food—our guests can’t stop raving about it. From cocktail hour to dinner, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. If you’re still deciding on a venue, I highly recommend taking the time to visit Stonebridge and meet their team. You’ll be in the best hands, and your wedding day will be everything you dreamed of and more. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we are so grateful to the entire Stonebridge team for making our day truly unforgettable”

“Our 100 person wedding at Paradigm Gardens in April of 2024 was perfect. For starters, their Private Events Director Karen is unparalleled. Communication was clear and consistent from the very beginning, and we never felt like they were trying to upsell us. As two more laid-back brides, she made sure we didn't overlook any important details. If your food is the most important aspect of your wedding, stop reading this and call Paradigm Gardens to book now. Our budget was fairly limited, but Chef Pat over at Karibu Kitchen (Paradigm Gardens' Catering) made the most of every dollar we spent. The food and bar packages were, hands down, the best we encountered at any venue in New Orleans. We had so much fun designing our custom menu with Chef Pat, and the tasting at Tchoup yard was one of our favorite parts of the planning process. Our family and friends still tell us it was the best food they've ever had at any wedding. The team even went out of their way to make sure our bar included our favorite brand of pickle vodka shots which turned out to be one of the highlights of the night. The location in Central City was perfect. It allowed us to have our rehearsal dinner downtown, and also take our pre-ceremony pictures at Audubon Park without requiring much driving time to and from the venue. The lush garden was more than we could have asked for as a backdrop. We said our vows in a short ceremony then watched the sunset over cocktails and dinner. The jasmine was in full bloom which made for awesome photos. The goats were a big hit with our wedding guests and the outdoor kitchen acted as a sort of fiery centerpiece to the whole evening. We had a local DJ playing New Orleans bounce and spent the majority of the night on the dance floor under the string lights. Without a massive budget, we anticipated having to compromise on a lot of aspects to be able to afford a wedding in New Orleans, but we couldn’t have been more wrong. We will forever be grateful to the folks at Paradigm Gardens for giving us the wedding of our dreams.”

“I feel so blessed and grateful to have found Brookledge for my wedding day. Helen, Brooke, and the rest of the Brookledge team are simply the best. We chose Brookledge after a FaceTime call with Helen. We live 5 hours away and wanted to make a decision. After speaking with Helen, we just knew that this was the place. We were so supposed through the planning stage. They recommended excellent vendors. Our guests loved the food! We chose the wedding weekend option where you could stay Friday to Sunday and had friends and family members stay on the property as well. My husband and I decided to add on Thursday night, and I would definitely recommend if you are traveling to Brookledge! Being the space early was so helpful. Brookledge really is a gem and if you have the opportunity to get married there, do it! You won’t regret it.”

“We highly recommend The Seville Chicagoland as a wedding venue. Desire was amazing to work with - she communicated promptly and professionally every step of the way. The space itself is elegant without the high price tag, giving great value. On our big day, The Seville really came through for us. When some out-of-town guests couldn't make the rehearsal, Desire allowed us to cancel without penalty. She also helped with DJ equipment rental when our original rental fell through. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or coordinator for our special day. The Seville handled all the little details and last minute changes beautifully. We're so grateful for the role they played in making our wedding day stress-free and magical.”

“My wife and I could not be more thrilled with the way our wedding was handled at Saphire Estate. From the very beginning, we were treated very kindly by all of the staff who helped us with all of the detailed planning and execution. If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend having your wedding at Saphire Estate! I’d like to give a special shoutout to our main contact, Kayla, who was with us just about every step of the way starting with our tasting. The best way to put it is that Kayla is a consummate professional. She helped my wife execute such a wonderful evening down to every last detail that she wanted to include (which was quite a few). Kayla listened to every idea she had and gave her honest and invaluably experienced input into each answer. The day and night of? Kayla got us! Thank you so much Kayla! Also a huge shoutout to Jeannine and Judy who were with us throughout the day and night, handling things left and right to keep our focus on the guests and their experience. When it came time to leave after our wedding, they had things neatly packed, labeled, and ready to go. Believe me, that part was huge. The food was excellent- we heard from all of our guests how much they liked both the chicken Milanese and the salmon! Thank you to the wonderful staff- planners, managers, chefs, servers, and bartenders for such a spectacular wedding!”

“Dorcas was great from the very beginning. She made everything so easy and helped put the whole package together with the catering, bartender, photographer, DJ, and décor. Everyone did an amazing job. The food was delicious, the bartender was fun, the DJ played exactly what we wanted, and Susan made everything look beautiful. It was all set up just the way I pictured it. I felt like I was probably a little difficult because I knew exactly what I wanted and was very straightforward, but Dorcas never made me feel that way. She was always kind and reassuring. The pricing was very reasonable for everything that was included, and I honestly didn't have to lift a finger on our wedding day. Everything went smoothly, and we had such a great time. I would definitely recommend them!”

Just south of Spring, where the pines thicken and the city noise finally falls away, Ashton Gardens North Houston makes its case as a glass chapel wedding venue built entirely around light. The open-beam stone chapel is walled in windows, so the surrounding forest becomes part of the ceremony rather than a backdrop glimpsed from inside. Chandeliers carry that glow into the reception, where a winding staircase gives every entrance a little theater. Outside, garden-lined paths wander past a quiet stream and a vine-draped courtyard, offering more photo backdrops than a single afternoon can use. Generously proportioned getting ready suites mean the morning-of unfolds without anyone feeling rushed or cramped. It's a glass chapel wedding venue built for couples who want serenity and scale in equal measure, with room for up to 200 guests to settle in and stay a while.

“Our wedding on May 1, 2026 was truly the best day of our lives, and the entire Hudson House team exceeded every expectation we had. We had a bit of a rocky start during the initial booking process, but once Elena, the General Manager, stepped in and connected us with Gabriel, the Director, everything became seamless. From that point forward, we felt completely taken care of. The food tasting alone was an experience unlike anything we've ever seen. It was an incredible feast and gave us a firsthand look at how Hudson House executes events and the level of service they provide. The food was absolutely outstanding, and our guests are still talking about it weeks later. One of the things that made our wedding feel extra special was having the second-floor room available for cocktail hour instead of the overlook above the reception space. While both spaces are beautiful, having a completely separate floor created such an incredible guest experience. Many guests thought the cocktail hour space was the reception itself, only to be amazed when they discovered there was another floor for dinner and dancing, followed by the Stork Club for the after-party. Everyone loved the progression of the evening and how each part of the celebration had its own unique space. The cocktail hour was truly next level. We received countless compliments about the amount of food and the variety of stations. Guests repeatedly told us they had never seen so many options at a wedding. One detail that made a huge impact was having our signature his-and-hers drinks already waiting for guests as they entered cocktail hour. People loved being able to grab a drink immediately instead of standing in line at the bar, and it was one of the most complimented touches of the night. What impressed us most, though, was the service. Every single staff member was warm, friendly, attentive, and accommodating. If a guest needed something, it was handled immediately. The professionalism and hospitality were truly exceptional. A special thank you goes to Maya, my bridal attendant, who was absolutely incredible from start to finish. She was by my side all day, constantly making sure I had water, checking on me, helping me stay hydrated, and ensuring I had everything I needed. She even helped clean the dirt off the train of my dress after photos. Maya was calm, thoughtful, diligent, and genuinely cared about making my day perfect. Before we left, she made sure all of our belongings were packed and organized, and she carefully packed up the food and cake I requested to take home since I knew I probably wouldn't get a chance to eat much during the wedding. Thanks to her, we were able to enjoy so many of the amazing dishes once we got back to our hotel. Gabriel was equally incredible throughout the night. Anytime I noticed something that needed attention, no matter how small, he addressed it immediately. Knowing he was there overseeing everything allowed us to relax and fully enjoy our wedding day. Hudson House delivered beyond our wildest dreams. The venue is stunning, the food is phenomenal, the service is unmatched, and the entire team genuinely cares about creating an unforgettable experience. Everything ran so smoothly that we were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment. The only downside is that the day goes by way too fast. We honestly wish we could do it all over again. We cannot recommend Hudson House enough.”

“10 South is a BEAUTIFUL venue and made our wedding day perfect! The staff were absolutely incredible. From wedding planning, to day of organization, through execution they were flawless. About wedding venues

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
