About this venue
Willowdale Estate is a private mansion, just 30-miles north of Boston, Massachusetts. Located within a 720-acre state forest, and along the pristine Ipswich River. Our private estate is the perfect setting for a New England wedding ceremony and reception. Our coordination team and catering staff will execute your plan with grace, leaving you free to enjoy the party and mix with your guests. At Willowdale Estate, we host two wedding seasons. Our Tent Season from May-October is perfect for parties between 125-240 guests, and our Mansion Season from November-April is better suited for smaller parties between 80-125 guests inside our Estate. As you search for a venue, we would love to hear from you! We can send open dates, host a tour of our space, or create a quote for you. Tent Events (Mansion, Tent, and Garden)
Your once-in-a-lifetime celebration deserves a one-of-a-kind setting.
Tent Season events include our private mansion, garden, and Sperry Tent. Guests enjoy the historic character of our estate, the beauty of our Garden Courtyard with a variety of flowering plants and trees, as well as, multiple access points to the mansion. Dinner and dancing are hosted under our Sperry Tent. Our restaurant-style catering is prepared on-site by the Willowdale Estate catering team, and we include support from on-site event coordinators.

- Bistro lights along the perimeter of the tent, with lanterns on the spruce center poles - Covered walkway connecting the tent and the mansion - Dining, cocktail, and café tables, and garden chairs - Tent heaters and fans available for use as needed; the Estate is air-conditioned and heated - Parking attendants - Three private hospitality suites for use during your event - Dance floor, courtyard bistro lights, and other custom features can be added (additional pricing will apply)
Mansion Events
Easy to plan, impossible to forget.
Events in the mansion (November - April) include full use of the main floor of the estate, with access to three private suites on the second floor for getting ready. Indoor events are cozy and romantic with warm wood tones of the house, festive, and lights. We are happy to incorporate personal touches that keep our century-old mansion vibrant, dynamic, and full of life. Our mansion features leaded stained glass windows, stone fireplaces, and intricate wood molding.

The most incredible experience!!!
From our first conversation with the team at Willowdale Estate, we knew we had made the right choice. After we booked, the planning team was so responsive and were always available when we needed them, which made the entire planning process feel stress-free. Not once did I worry about something not going smoothly. Our wedding day coordinator, Julia, was exceptional as well as the Coach House attendants. I had a very large wedding party and there were 15 of us getting ready in the couch house suite, along with 6 HMU artists. There was so much space and the attendants made sure everything was stress free and our stuff was all organized. Throughout the whole day the staff made sure everything ran like clockwork—they placed all our decor exactly where we envisioned it and kept the timeline on track without us having to worry about a thing. Julia was so attentive and helped to keep everyone calm and I truly was able to relax knowing that I could trust her and everything was in such good hands. The venue itself is stunning with its naturally beautiful grounds, so we didn't need to do much to make it feel special. The team's attention to detail and genuine care for making our day perfect really set them apart. So many guests told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to and how delicious the food was. We had 175 guests and did not feel as though it was too crowded at all. My husband and I truly had the best day ever and could not have dreamed of getting married anywhere else. We can't recommend Willowdale Estate enough.

A Perfect Day in March
March 2026 Wedding We had the pleasure of getting married at Willowdale this past March and we could not be more pleased with how it went! Jeannine, our coordinator, was incredible and made everything so easy especially the day of. She was extremely responsive and attentive to all of our questions leading up and really helped to take away some of our pre-wedding anxiety. The bartenders, servers, and entire staff were excellent, and we received several compliments with how friendly they were from our family. The decorations and set up looked incredible and they made the personal aspect of our own pictures/decorations really show. The most compliments we received, however, were from the delicious appetizers and meals. We opted for the upgraded filet and got so many comments on how delicious it was. We originally looked at Willowdale because they are the sister venue to one of our favorite restaurants on the North Shore, the Grove and it did not disappoint. Our wedding at Willowdale Estate was truly everything we could have dreamed of and more! From the moment we first saw the property, we knew we had found the perfect venue. The estate is absolutely beautiful, the atmosphere is warm and elegant, and every detail made our wedding day feel incredibly special. A huge part of what made our experience so wonderful was our event coordinator, Alli. She was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Alli was incredibly organized, attentive, kind, and responsive throughout the entire planning process. She made us feel completely taken care of and gave us so much confidence leading up to the big day. On our wedding day, she handled every detail seamlessly, allowing us to relax, enjoy ourselves, and truly be present in the moment. We can’t thank her enough! The entire Willowdale Estate team went above and beyond to make our wedding unforgettable. The service, food, and attention to detail were all exceptional. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue or a better team. Our day was truly magical. We are so grateful to Willowdale Estate and especially to Alli for helping make our wedding day absolutely perfect. We would recommend Willowdale Estate to any couple looking for a stunning venue and a team that genuinely cares about making your wedding dreams come true!

The Best Day Ever (at the best venue ever)
We honestly cannot say enough good things about Willowdale Estate. We had our wedding there at the end of June and honestly saying that it was the perfect day is an understatement. We wish that we could relive that day over and over! All of our vendors were fantastic and having Willowdale as our venue was an absolute dream especially with their amazing staff that made the day seamless. Our day-of-coordinator, Allison Delano, was the incredible! She made sure that everything went smoothly, kept us on track with our timeline, and helped us with anything we needed day of (and before). Throughout the planning process she was incredibly helpful, answering all of our questions, offering her insight, and truly caring that our day was exactly the way we wanted it to be! Our guests have had only wonderful things to say about Willowdale as well - commenting on how beautiful the venue is, how elegant the wedding felt, and of course how delicious the food was (especially the cookies). We also utilized the Coach House as our getting ready space for the bridal party and it was lovely! Our coach house attendant, Ethan, was incredibly helpful and made sure that our day got off to the perfect, stress-free start! We could go on and on about how amazing Willowdale Estate is, but we cannot recommend it enough to help ensure you have the perfect wedding day! :)

THE BEST OF THE BEST
My husband and I are so grateful to have had our wedding at Willowdale. Apart from being the most charming venue (had so many guests telling us it felt like they were in Italy lol), the team is incredible and did everything in their power to make sure our day went perfectly. They were accommodating, attentive, and professional. A special shoutout to Alli, the Willowdale-provided coordinator who was assigned to us and was an actual superstar. Ontop of that, the food was DELICIOUS and the signature Willowdale cookies were so good that we had guests telling us they were sneaking extras in their purses. We’d give many more stars if we could!
