Pine Plains, NY

Stissing House is one of the oldest taverns in America, located at the crossroads of the village of Pine Plains in the heart of Dutchess County. It’s 90 minutes from New York City, and 30 minutes south of Hudson. It has hosted feasts for generations. Downstairs, intimate dining rooms and fireside lounges are ideal for parties of 8-10 people. Upstairs, the oldest Dutch Colonial ballroom in America is designed for long-table dinners and weddings of 25-150 people. Gather your friends and family for pitchers of shandy and wood fired eggs the day before or morning after your party. Chef/Proprietor Clare de Boer cooks food that is generous and has a sense of place. Ingredients come from surrounding farms and are prepared simply on the tavern’s mammoth hearth. The eggs are laid today, the butter is homemade, and the food is for feasting.

From the minute you step into their signature green door, you feel transformed to another time. And suddenly the only reason to have a cell phone is to take photos of every incredibly gorgeous vignette. You have no choice but to be present and to indulge the senses as you take each step through the maze of decorated display and historic architecture. Carolers, trays of wonderful treats and smells and smiles all made for the most perfect and unique experience. The event was so seamless organized and curated. Hats off to Clare and Katie and the team!!! A personal thank you to them for the endless hours that it took to bring this amazing community event to our valley for all of us to enjoy. You made my Christmas season (yet again!).

My wedding experience at Birch Hill was incredible, and I owe so much of that to Serena and her amazing team! We started the booking process in early March, hoping for a September/October wedding date, and thankfully found one that worked. Serena was an absolute goddess from start to finish—she gave us a thorough tour of all the location options, answered every question, and made the entire process feel effortless. We knew almost immediately that no other venue would compare! Since we were on a tight timeline, I reached out to Serena frequently with questions, and she always responded promptly and thoroughly. By our 90-day planning meeting, we were already so comfortable with everything, and Serena guided us seamlessly through food choices (of which there were so many!) and other details. Her expertise really shone through when I wasn’t sure about certain things; she made it all so simple and stress-free. On the big day, I felt so confident in Serena and her team—it was like everything was taken care of before I could even think about it. I truly felt like I had nothing to worry about and could be fully present in every moment, which made the day even more magical. They thought of every detail, big and small, allowing me to simply enjoy and soak it all in. Speaking of the food—it was hands down the best meal I’ve ever had! We chose the Cocktail Style package and went with a wide range of options, including crispy calamari with lemon-garlic aioli, French onion soup, cider bacon-wrapped chicken, pulled pork wonton bites, and mini grilled cheeses with tomato soup shooters, among others. Every single bite was phenomenal! The prime rib was cooked to perfection, and the mashed potato bar and pasta station were crowd favorites. Our guests raved about the gourmet French fry station that we had later in the night. While we handpicked the items, I genuinely believe that anything else on their menu would have been just as amazing—the quality and flavors were out of this world. At the end of the night, everything was packed up perfectly and already in my car before I even stopped partying! If I had to give any constructive feedback, it would be about the bridal suite. It was a very warm day for late September, and the air conditioning hadn’t been turned on before we arrived, so the suite was quite hot initially. Other than that, our ceremony by the pond was absolutely beautiful. While the mosquitos and some goose droppings were a minor annoyance, the setting was otherwise perfect and so romantic. All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Serena’s commitment and attention to detail made our wedding truly unforgettable!

We had the most amazing time at Diamond Mills Hotel! The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and the staff is wonderful to work with. My husband and I also loved exploring Saugerties! Planning a wedding in two months was challenging, but booking Diamond Mills for our wedding venue was the best decision ever! We loved working with Stephanie, Carrie, and Brianne. They are highly organized and professional. Our wedding day was truly magical! Our guests had a wonderful time! We also really appreciate how the staff working on the day of our wedding ensured that my husband and I ate well (and remembered to eat as we interacted with our guests). The food served was delicious and we loved our wedding cake! Another great thing about booking the wedding at Diamond Mills is that the hotel is attached to the wedding venue - it was very convenient for us and our guests! We received a good discount for our hotel block. The wedding package they offer at Diamond Mills Hotel is truly well-rounded! Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, catering, open bar, wedding cake, and supportive and amazing staff to help you plan your wedding and ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the wedding all for a reasonable price! I used some rental decorations, and the staff made sure to carefully pack everything at the end of the night, so shipping and packing up the following day was easy! We highly recommend Diamond Mills!

Our experience with The Riverview was incredible from start to finish. The process of booking included a detailed tour of the venue and a thorough review of the terms and conditions at a meeting to sign the contract, leaving us confident that we fully understood what we were agreeing to. Our tasting event was a wonderful chance to see the team in action and make some decisions about our own menu based on what we did and didn’t like. We worked with Kayla and Meghan as our coordinators, both of whom were a pleasure to work with and extremely responsive throughout the planning process. We were able to take advantage of their expertise based on experiences with past weddings but still had the flexibility to customize the details of the day so that it didn’t feel like a “cookie-cutter” event. And the physical space is truly beautiful! Our planning experience was wonderful, but the experience with the venue and team on the day of our wedding was exceptional. Meghan’s positive but firm leadership kept things moving smoothly and between her and our attendants, Cam and Felicia, every detail was attended to! They were prepared for everything, even wardrobe malfunctions, makeup mishaps, and last-minute requests. We did quite a bit of DIY planning and customizing, but on the day of, we did not need to lift a finger! We were especially impressed the the special attention paid to our priorities. My husband and I were excited about our menu and prioritized food during our planning meetings. At our wedding, the venue made sure we had plenty of opportunity to eat, but the excitement of the day took away our appetite. The Riverview team packed up all of the food we couldn’t eat and sent us home with our leftovers (plus some!) so that we still got to enjoy our meal! Another item worth noting is that although two weddings took place that night, we never would have known it! We could not hear the other wedding in our ballroom and never encountered the other group during the entire time we were on site! In short, planning our wedding at The Riverview was an amazing experience, and the wedding day itself was even better! I’d encourage anyone to book!

We're so happy we picked Larimar for our wedding venue! From start to finish, we had an all-around great experience. On the wedding day, she did a phenomenal job coordinating all the details with us, our vendors and kept things running smoothly - my husband and I were able to fully enjoy our wedding day without the stress thanks to her. The food was also excellent - our wedding was a few weeks ago, and guests are still raving about how much food we had and how great it was. The service was also excellent - all of the staff was friendly, efficient and brought the energy... even on the dancefloor! And of course, the venue was gorgeous and was perfect for our guest count and personal tastes. We also loved how Larimar includes so much in their wedding packages; things other venues would have nickel and dimed us for were included in our pricing and/or easily accomodated. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our wedding day was enjoyable, relaxing, and exactly how we had envisoned. Rating: 5.0 (48 reviews)
Easthampton, MA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • All-inclusive

  • Starts at $6,600

Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost. Whatever your style, with over 140 pieces of decor, if you can picture it in the space, we can make it happen.

I could not say enough good things about this venue. We're SO glad we decided to get married at The Boylston Rooms! The pictures show for themselves how beautiful the venue (and surrounding areas for photography) are, but the staff are what make this place extra special. From start to finish, everyone we worked with was nothing but professional. They were clear and timely communicators, helped troubleshoot things during the planning process, and came with loads of wedding wisdom that helped set us up for success on the big day. When the big day came, I also appreciated how often their staff checked in - even to make sure I was eating (it's the small things!) - and were ready to jump into support anywhere. A special shout out to Myles, who played a supporting role during our wedding portraits, helping me to keep my very long veil under control! A few other things I'll mention: - Their storage room filled with decor you can borrow is SO helpful. Less that you need to buy (and potentially waste post-wedding) and can even make decision-making easier when there are 1,000 versions of the same item online. - Their wedding suites are great to have available too. Obviously for getting ready, but it's also a nice reprieve if you need a quiet moment during the reception. - The Boylston Rooms only works with one caterer, Myer's Catering. Our guests are STILL raving about the food. (There's more flexibility with other vendors). - The Boylston Rooms also owns/is affiliated with The Wedding Day Trolley, which we used to transport our guests to/from the hotel. My partner and I also took some super fun photos inside of the trolley!

We kept getting compliments weeks after the wedding about what a fantastic venue choice this was! We had great weather on 9/28/2025 and it was a beautiful place for a nice sunny daytime wedding. Immediately we were sold on the panoramic views of Mount Tom and the overlook, the patio area with plenty of room for games, as well as the delicious food options. The staff really took it to the next level! We worked with Amanda for most of the planning phase. She had spreadsheets to collect all our information about our plans for the day in order to handle as much of the legwork as they could. This worked like a dream. Kelly was our day-of coordinator, and she was an absolute joy to work with. My wife and I seriously couldn’t have done it without her and our lead server Ellery, as we had planned lots of speeches, a video game tournament, line dancing with all the guests, and more. Everyone at The Log Cabin was completely dedicated to bringing our ideas to life and pulled the whole day off perfectly. We didn’t have to worry about a thing, so we really got to enjoy ourselves with our friends and family! I would happily recommend this venue to anyone.

19Main

New Milford, CT
  • Up to 130 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $6,000

Constructed soon after the Great Fire of 1902, The United Bank Building was built to house two banks whose previous buildings had been destroyed, New Milford Savings Bank and the New Milford First National Bank. The two banks immediately organized to rebuild, quickly agreeing in principal to build a joint facility on the site of the New England House, a locally well known tavern and inn located at the corner of Bank and Main Street. For most of its life, the building had been used in some form of a bank, but had been largely under-used in recent decades, and had fallen into disrepair. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and taken over by Village Green Investments in 2015. After 9 months of renovations, the building became 19Main. Throughout renovations, we strived for modern amenities with historic elegance; three vaults remain from the building’s former bank days.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Dressing room available
  • Raw space for complete customization
  • Classic seating dinner

Venue considerations

  • Dance floor not included
  • Couple must handle cleanup and setup
  • Additional event staff required
When we toured venues we were immediately struck by the uniqueness of this venue, and charmed by the town of New Milford. We were able to get ready, have our ceremony, dinner, and reception all in the same venue which made things incredibly easy for us and our guests. Our guests loved the vaults for pictures, and having access to both the large and small rooms made sure that nothing was ever too cramped. Of course, having AC for a July wedding was also a plus. We took pictures on the town green and at the movie theater marquee, and stayed with our wedding party at the inn in town. And I can only say amazing things about Kylie! Kylie made our dreams come true! She was a dream to work with. She had solutions for questions that we didn't even know we needed to think about, was incredibly easy to work with, and took away all of our stress on the day of. She coordinated with all of our vendors, set up our tables, put up all of our posters and decor, but still let us feel like we were in control. We planned this wedding from across the country, but Kylie made it as smooth as possible!

We could not have asked for a more beautiful, inclusive, and accessible venue! Knowing that the vast majority of our guests would have to fly in to our wedding, no matter where we had it, it was important to us that we had a venue we could book for the whole weekend. Combined with all of the amenities Wylder offers, it was a no-brainer. The wedding weekend would not have gone as smoothly as it did without the incredible staff, particularly Andrea and Faith. From the moment of our first phone call until we were leaving the farewell brunch, they took care of us every step of the way. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating, and Wylder truly felt like our home for the weekend. Highly recommend if you want a beautiful venue (with a lovely rain/cold weather location, which we ended up using), incredible food, and great service!

The Carousel Museum is truly a beautiful and unique venue, and very affordable compared to other venues. My wife picked this place, and at first I couldn't understand how people get married here...then we get upstairs to the ballroom and I was sold. The chandeliers from the ceiling, the gorgeous wood, the colors and aesthetic can pretty much work with whatever your theme is. The staff were great, a couple minor issues leading up to the event but all things considered they did a fantastic job handling everything. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend this venue more! Not only is it beautiful on the inside but Bryce and Courtney who help run the show put in so much time, effort, and energy into making it the best day you could imagine! After our initial meeting with Bryce it was a no-brainer to go with Novella’s. They were the only venue that said yes to all of our requests and let us make the wedding more catered to us as a couple (DIY stirrers, signage, centerpieces, etc.). They only do 1 wedding a day so you are their main focus for the duration of your day. He will answer your emails, texts, and set up meetings with you if you ask! He also added some ideas we wouldn’t have thought of and walked us through the timeline and process with our goals in mind. Our family/friend’s raved about the food during cocktail hour and dinner. Good portions and great quality! As the bride, I felt they ran a tight ship with no hiccups in sight and were easy to find if I had any questions. My guests said it was a true hidden gem that they didn’t know about but loved! They also have a deal with the local Pastry Garden to give you a custom cake included in the venue cost! The venue is within walking feet of a local hotel who are fabulous to work with and Bryce also let us use the outdoor patio for an amazing after party! Truly just good people to work with and SO easy to trust!

About wedding venues in South Egremont, MA

Massachusetts offers an unparalleled backdrop for your wedding day with historic mansions in Boston's Beacon Hill, lighthouse-dotted shores of Cape Cod and rustic barns nestled in Western Massachusetts' Berkshire mountains. The state's rich colonial heritage gives you venues in buildings dating back to the 1700s while modern spaces showcase innovative architecture and contemporary design that can make your celebration truly unique.

What Makes Massachusetts Wedding Venues So Special?

The Bay State combines distinct regional characteristics to create unique ceremony experiences for your special day. In Boston and Greater Boston you'll find historic landmarks like Boston Public Library where you can exchange vows in elegant reading rooms then celebrate with receptions offering harbor views at the Boston Harbor Hotel.
