Working with The Finest Details was such a joy from start to finish. Sheila responded to every question and brought this playful energy to our whole planning process that made it fun to collaborate. She really understood my vision and wasn't afraid to push boundaries with bold florals that I wasn't sure about at first—but they turned out stunning. On the day of, my bouquet and all the arrangements were absolutely gorgeous and vibrant, exactly what I'd imagined but somehow even better. My husband and I felt so taken care of, and our guests couldn't stop raving about how beautiful everything looked. I'd recommend The Finest Details in a heartbeat to any couple looking for a florist who truly listens and delivers.

Something Borrowed Blooms
Rating: 4.8 (175 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Washington, NC

Something Borrowed Blooms is the premier rent-and-return floral and décor company in the U.S., offering beautifully curated premium silk floral collections. Couples who choose to rent typically save up to 70% compared to the cost of traditional fresh flowers. Our collections include everything you need for your wedding day, from bridal and bridesmaid bouquets to boutonnieres, garlands, centerpieces, aisle markers, cake flowers, swags, flower combs and crowns, wedding décor, and more. Each design is thoughtfully curated to create a cohesive, elevated look from ceremony to reception.

Awarded Best of Zola
We rented flowers through Something Borrowed Blooms and went with the Jane collection. Flowers were lower on our tier of priorities, so this worked well for us. It was easy to book, rent, and send them back. The one downside was that they changed what the collection looked like between when I booked the flowers and when I received them, and there was no option to go back to the original. They changed the bridesmaids’ flowers to be more floral, when I chose the Jane collection due to the greenery. As flowers weren’t specifically important to me, this wasn’t that big of a deal, but it didn’t feel great to not be able to get what we originally wanted and paid for. After reaching out to them about this issue, we did get a 50% discount on the bridesmaid flowers.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.8 (100 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Washington, NC

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
We loved using Flower Moxie! Morgan Wilt helped us put together the perfect cart, they all arrived when they said they would, and the flowers were near perfect. It is time consuming if you're a perfectionist (my bridal party and I spent about 6 hours arranging all of our bouquets, centerpieces, aisle pieces, arch pieces etc.) so don't underestimate the amount of time needed! But overall such a lovely experience and we would recommend it to anyone interested in doing their own florals.

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (43 reviews)
  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Washington, NC

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
I was so impressed with The Faux Bouquets for our wedding! Brittany, the owner, was incredibly quick to respond, thorough in her communication, and had such a friendly and fun personality. She really went above and beyond to make sure we got the perfect faux floral arrangements for our big day. The quality of their work is truly unique and you can tell they are so passionate about what they do. We were able to take advantage of a special deal on the flowers I wanted, and they even upgraded some of the pieces for free! Compared to other faux floral companies in the area, we were able to get much more for our money. I'm so glad I took the time for the 15 minute consultation with Brittany - it was so helpful to see the items at scale and she customized our order perfectly. Our wedding is not until 2027 but we got them early and I LOVE them. I also like that the suites aren’t cookie cutter so each of my bridesmaids have their own style.

Wood & Word Blooms, sola wood floral designs (faux not fresh)

🌹 WE ARE NOT FRESH FLOWER FLORISTS. WE WORK WITH WOOD & FAUX FLOWERS. PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE THIS IN YOUR REPLY. 🌹 Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jen was AMAZING to work with! When it came to flowers for my wedding, I had NO IDEA what I wanted. She was very patient with me and helped talk me through my vision. She gave me flowers to pick from, talked about how big I wanted my bouquet and how much greenery I wanted, and then when I could find colors I liked in swatches, she color-matched the colors I wanted from an inspo pic I found online! She was very professional and patient with me, even when my plans changed or I needed to add to my order.  I am not the best at putting together a bouquet. I am also someone who likes control, especially when it came to planning my wedding. I was thankful that I was able to give Jen the reins, tell her what I wanted, and watch her make my dreams come true. When I first saw my flowers, I was speechless. She truly did make my floral dreams come true, and now I get to keep my bouquet for the rest of my life! A wooden flower bouquet from Jen is the way to go!

  • Starts at $15,000
  • Serves Washington, NC

Hi there, I'm Jessica! One of my favorite things about being a wedding florist is getting to create living art. This kind of art is never stagnant, never monotonous. The medium represents growth, connection and love- a perfect symbol to surround my beautiful couples on their wedding day.

Working with Jessica was a treat. She was an incredible listener and translated our inspiration into reality spectacularly. Her arrangements were dynamic, structural, cohesive and so intentionally crafted. We shared some specific elements/colors we wanted and she was able to run with our ideas and turn them into a full floral design vision board. Jessica had candles and votives, and sourced these gorgeous ribbons for the bouquets. She thoughtfully incorporated all our requests and was happy to adjust throughout the planning process. I can’t recommend her more highly!

The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!

Joseph and Rob of Riverwood Designs are the best in the business. I booked Riverwood Designs for my May 2024 wedding, at The Maine of Williamsburg, for bridal party flowers and floral table arrangements, as well as a Day-Of Coordination package. Booking Joseph and Rob was one of the best decisions I made during my 2-year long wedding planning process. Joseph was a life-savior during the planning process, keeping me calm and confident that my day would be nothing but perfect. And it was exactly that. On the day of my wedding, Joseph and Rob arrived promptly and delivered the most BEAUTIFUL flowers. I am so glad that I chose to go with real flowers, as opposed to wood or silk flowers. The arrangements looked and smelled amazing. The proposal that we had worked on prior to the day of in no way did the actual flowers justice. They were even more amazing than I could have ever imagined. For the florals, we chose to include the orange flowers in only the bridal bouquet. Also including this same orange flower on only the groom’s boutonnière. This was the perfect way for me and my groom to feel special and different from the rest of our bridal party. Book Riverwood Designs NOW! For all your floral and planning/coordinating needs. I am so thankful that I did and I cannot recommend them enough.

We hired Paula and Samantha pretty down to the wire of our wedding, but they immediately jumped in! We contacted them on Friday, and they had our proposal ready by Monday! Our flowers fit our vibe perfectly: I wanted something to pull from the venue's brick, but not look too "autumny" for our January wedding, and they nailed it! They look and feel like "regular" flowers, but they'll last forever and have so far held up perfectly! We're gifting a number of our pieces to our mothers and grandmothers as keepsakes from our amazing day, while saving the rest to display around our house! We're so happy to have such beautiful mementoes to remember it by!

Zombie Flowers

After the global zombie apocalypse, in the early winter of '24, I heeded the call, picked up my shovel and shotgun and headed out to the fields. Protecting this wide world from the pestilence that is the zombie flower is no small feat, but I've learned to survive. I've made it my mission to hunt these jokers down, wrangle them together, and to serve to you dead off the proverbial platter. In these post-apocalyptic times, the zombie flowers make for excellent mantle trophies, but some have said they make awesome wedding bouquets. Whatever your cup of tea, these zombie flowers are one of a kind prepared just for you.

Sparks & Sand
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Washington, NC

Hi guys! Mekai here, owner + founder of Sparks + Sand floral design. Originally from Palm Springs, California and now in Raleigh for a couple years, S+S has brought me the most incredible opportunities to share in the joy + wonder florals can bring to every person, every event, every meaningful moment. I am so darn thankful I get to connect with so many unique people with visions I cannot believe I get to bring to the table. Thank you for supporting me, + allowing me the space to be a part of your most special celebrations. I cannot wait to connect with you!

Mekai did the florals for my Feb 2023 wedding and I seriously cannot even begin to explain how amazing she was! Actually blew my expectations out of the water. When I saw what she had created the morning of our wedding she actually took my breath away. She took my vision I gave her and made something more beautiful than I ever could have imagined! I live in New York City and honestly, I was struggling for awhile to try to try to find a florist out of Palm Springs that just "gets it". Sometimes I find traditional florists to be a bit boring, stale, repetitive, or way over the top. The other florists out of palm springs felt a little too old school for me or were completely out of my budget. I really wanted something modern and artistic, yet playful, natural and fun. Mekai is a true artist! Not only is her work so beautiful, but she is also the sweetest person ever and a dream to work with! Super responsive and really takes the time to understand your vision. I know as a bride, it can feel a little risky to book a vendor with a smaller amount of reviews, but Mekai is so worth it! Mekai also has a lot lower minimums than a lot of other floral vendors in the area and is extremely affordable which I have never heard any of my friends who have gotten married say about their florals! Mekai's work is such a steal for the impact that she will make on your space and in all of your photos! Seriously run, don't walk, to book! I'm telling you, you will not regret it in the slightest.
