From setup to cleanup, everything was taken care of—and they even had all of our items neatly packed and ready for us the next day. “I recently got married at the Chalfonte Hotel this past June. It was the most magical day. From the serene beauty of the Willow Tree garden to the simple elegance of the Magnolia Room, everything about the day was perfect. Of course, everyone loved having cocktail hour on the porch, which is personally my favorite part of the hotel. Even before and after the wedding family and friends loved getting together on the porch, having a cocktail, and just enjoying Cape May. I cannot begin to express how kind and amazing the staff are at the Chalfonte. Planning a wedding can definitely feel overwhelming but Ellie was so helpful and communicative every step of the way. Any ideas that we had about how we wanted the day to go she was so receptive to. She made sure that everything we had envisioned was there on our wedding day. If you want a wedding somewhere that is naturally beautiful, fun, and perfectly located, I highly recommend booking you wedding at the Chalfonte Hotel.”

From the very beginning, the entire team made the process feel so easy and stress-free, but Jeri Anne truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be. Jeri Anne was absolutely fantastic. She took care of every detail, answered all of my questions, and made sure everything came together exactly how I pictured it. Being able to drop off our wedding items ahead of time was such a huge help, and knowing that Jeri Anne and her team were handling everything gave me so much peace of mind. When I walked into the reception space and saw everything set up so beautifully, it was truly better than I imagined. The staff at the Inn of Cape May was also incredible. Every person we interacted with was kind, accommodating, and genuinely wanted to make our day special. They made our guests feel welcomed and taken care of, and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for, and so much of that was because of the amazing team at the Inn of Cape May. We are so grateful to Jeri Anne and everyone who helped make our wedding day so unforgettable. I would recommend the Inn of Cape May to any couple looking for a beautiful venue with a team that truly cares about their couples. “This was a dream wedding venue and team. We held cocktail hour upstairs, dinner and dancing under the beautiful tent! Alyssa was an absolute pleasure to work with! She always had the calmest, positive and open delivery throughout each step of a stressful wedding process. She made the process much easier and really worked with us to address all of our questions and needs throughout the year of planning. During our last visit, Alyssa had the best ideas for design and layout. These ideas really made our photos stand out. The chef, Joey, was truly unbelievable. All of our guests said best food at a wedding and better yet, best food in general! Both Joey and Alyssa were so helpful coming up with interesting menu ideas. The staff- every single bartender and waiter was on it! No cup was empty, no one was waiting on their food, all allergies were correctly listened to. Not only was the service amazing, but they all were happy to be there, adding positive energy to our big day. I can't recommend Alyssa and her team enough! Thank you!!! XO”

“We LOVED our experience with Avalon Yacht Club. From our very first interaction with the yacht club, Jarrod created a space where we wanted to spend time with our friends and family. Jarrod and the AYC team went above and beyond to work with any and all requests that we came up with, and Jarrod truly worked the day of our wedding to ensure it was what we envisioned. The food was INCREDIBLE! We were a little worried when we initially booked as we had never eaten at the yacht club before. Their crab cakes are some of the best we've ever had, and the passed appetizers were 15/10. The AYC worked with our guests that had food allergies (shellfish, egg, beef, vegan, celiac). I cannot recommend the AYC and working with Jarrod enough!!”

Why Choose New Jersey for Your Wedding Day?

New Jersey gives you four distinct regions with unique wedding settings and styles to match any vision. September tops the charts for wedding inquiries here, so you'll want to plan ahead if you're eyeing a date during peak season. The varied landscapes mean you can find everything from waterfront elegance to historic charm without traveling far.

What Types of Wedding Venues Can You Find in New Jersey?

The venue scene in New Jersey covers just about every style imaginable. Luxury estates like Park Chateau in East Brunswick offer stunning French-inspired architecture with gorgeous European gardens that make for incredible photo backdrops. If water views are your thing, places like Liberty House showcase breathtaking NYC skyline panoramas right alongside the water. History buffs fall in love with venues like Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange with its historic grounds and Mediterranean gardens. Modern couples gravitate toward industrial spaces such as The Art Factory in Paterson where contemporary design meets character and uniqueness.

How Much Should You Budget for a New Jersey Wedding?

Wedding venues in New Jersey typically run between $8,600 and $10,600, which falls right in line with the national range of $6,500-$12,000. Your overall costs will scale with your guest count. A 50-person celebration averages around $25,059 while stepping up to 100 guests pushes that to $41,588. These figures help you set realistic expectations as you start planning.
