I’m a lover of flowers! This started early in life for me. I loved the outdoors! I was absolutely fascinated with the different types of blooms, and the way a landscape can come together. Always airing on the creative side, I let my ideas wander into things like culinary arts, and other creative outlets through my younger years, until finally finding my way into the floral design world. It was at that point I decided that now was my time, and began my journey of finding a place to learn this craft!

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (110 reviews)
  • Starts at $350

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

“We used the “Full Monty” package for our wedding and DIY-ed all our florals. Our florist, Hattie, did a great job listening to our vision and responded to all of our questions quickly! We explored options together, and she was able to help us get so much more than we would have with a florist and with the exact color palette we were looking at. Neither of us are great at design/DIY, but we felt very supported by the plethora of tutorials, recipes, and videos to create our flowers. With our florals, we made 6 pillar arrangements, 2 bridal bouquets, 8 bridesmaid bouquets, 3 corsages, a boutonniere, 2 medium centerpieces, and close to 100 bud vases. My maid of honor made my bridal bouquet, which made it even more special than it would have if a florist had made it. The flowers arrived at our AirBnb without any issues, and we lost barely any florals! I will say if DIY-ing flowers, whether with Flower Moxie or not, make sure you have people to help - especially with getting the florals out of the wrapping, in buckets, and cutting stems. We had our crews help, and it still looked overwhelming at first, so I can see how it can be stressful. We had our day-of-coordinator set everything up florals-wise on our wedding day, and everything looked GORGEOUS. If you have the people to help and are looking for more florals for less money, we would definitely recommend DIY-ing with flower moxie”

We are a family business, everything started 2019. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management and I enjoy the process of planning events, decorations, scheduling, and timelines. I worked in the hotel business for almost 10 years until I realized that I wanted to start working in what I love and I'm passionate about. That's how I decided to open my own company!

“Where do I begin? Lori and her team were absolutely fabulous, she did so much work behind the scenes to make our day special. We had a highly personalized and very detailed set up with WildmanBT and Lori took care of all of it. I hired her based on great reviews from the venue and she was always available to answer questions via text, phone call or email whenever I had them. We started working together nearly a year and a half before the event so we can truly say she put on a great show! She was helpful, knew exactly how long certain processes would take and was so impressive managing other vendors and the timing we didn't even have to think of anything the day of. We had a large bridal party as well that she knew how to command and manage a room - our rehearsal of over 25 people took only 20 minutes! She also "had a guy" for all things wedding you could think of - I highly recommend reviewing her website as she provides florals, centerpieces, decorations and various other items and services. If she didn't provide the service or product directly she knew a trusted source we could go to to get it. We paid extra to have Lori and her team set up the centerpieces and our decorations, they were PERFECTLY laid out to our specs. I am very "type-A" and hard to impress so it was no small feat to manage all our expectations and Lori blew them out of the water. Highly recommend (photo credit to Emma Mullins Photography)”

“Bukky and her team did an AMAZING job on our wedding day. The day went flawlessly. Exquisite Events & Floral Design handled our wedding planning and all the decor as well. Some things I really appreciated were Bukky's professionalism and her consistency throughout the whole process. She was beyond helpful, experienced, and knowledgeable, especially since we had no experience and really no external guidance. She gave us a calming feeling throughout the entire process. We also loved working with her whole team! On the day of the wedding, she had her team split up, one with my wife and one with me, while Bukky ran the show at the venue. They were great resources for us and worked seamlessly with our videography/photography team. Overall, we are SO grateful and blessed to have been recommended to Exquisite Events & Florals.
