Started as a group of DJs in 2013, Dart Collective has now grown to include numerous live musicians and performers, all with the same simple goal of offering a more customized and personal approach to music curation at weddings and special events. Dart has also grown geographically, serving Los Angeles, San Francisco and Austin based clients locally, and destination clients all over the world. At Dart, we are all working DJs and musicians. Music is our passion and we want to share it with you and your guests. Our main goal here is to elevate and personalize your event so that it uniquely represents you.

    They Absolutely Nailed the Vibe

    Dart Collective was incredible from start to finish. They really listened to us, understood our taste, and completely got the vibe we wanted for the day. Their Music Map was such a great tool, it made it so easy to share songs and ideas throughout the planning process without having to build one giant playlist. They were also amazingly flexible, accommodating last-minute music changes and in-the-moment requests without missing a beat. And on the day itself, they absolutely nailed it. The music created the atmosphere we wanted from beginning to end and was such a huge part of what made the day feel so fun, personal, and memorable. Plus, the vinyl setup brought an extra cool factor that we loved. If you care about the music at your wedding and want a DJ who will actually understand your taste rather than just play a standard wedding playlist, we can’t recommend Dart enough!

    Sam Houdek Rocks!

    From our first conversation, Dart Collective (specifically Sam Houdek!) made it clear they understood exactly what we wanted for our wedding day. They were responsive and straightforward to work with, which took so much stress out of the planning process. What really impressed us was how they brought the party without needing us to micromanage every detail—they just knew how to read the room and keep our guests engaged all night long. Their rates were competitive compared to other DJs we looked at, and honestly, the energy and professionalism they delivered was worth every penny. We'd absolutely recommend Dart Collective to any couple looking for a DJ that will make their reception unforgettable.

    Dart collective review

    My husband and I are big music lovers and prioritized music for our big day and dart did not disappoint! They were extremely communicative and made sure the music was exactly what we envisioned. Everyone has been telling us it’s the best wedding music they’ve ever heard and no one left the dance floor. We also had a saxophonist and he was extremely professional the day of.

    Wedding DJ Brooklyn NY

    Working with Sam, Marco, and Julian was so seamless and easy. We really wanted to avoid a DJ that played tired 'wedding' music and actually created a fun night of dancing with our millennial Brooklyn crowd. We vibed with Sam immediately on intake meeting, who even 'scouted' our venue to confirm the existing audio setup worked (helping us save some on rentals). Coordinating with Marco and working with DJ Julian on the day-of was a breeze and delivered exactly the energy we had hoped for. Couldn't recommend enough!

We are all professional musicians working both in and outside of the wedding/corporate event world. We take a wholistic and curatorial approach to each of our performances, working hard with our dedicated logistical staff to make sure our clients are well represented.
Yes, we've got a lot of amazing options for the lighter sides of the evening. From string duos to tiki vibraphone trios to gypsy jazz quartets, we've got you covered.
