I’m Alex, professionally known as Lex Musiq, a wedding DJ and founder of Toast to That Entertainment. After years of building an entertainment company and creating celebrations for hundreds of couples across New England, I launched Lex Musiq as my personal DJ brand for couples seeking a more elevated, hands-on experience. Music has always been about more than simply playing songs for me. I love creating moments, reading a room, bringing different generations and cultures together, and building a celebration that genuinely reflects each couple.

When you book Lex Musiq, you’re booking me personally. I combine years of experience as both a DJ and entertainment company owner with a highly personalized approach to every wedding. I don’t rely on a generic wedding playlist or a one-size-fits-all formula. I curate each celebration around the couple and the room, seamlessly blending genres like R&B, Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Latin, House, throwbacks and classics while keeping the experience polished, energetic and authentic. My goal is simple: create a wedding that sounds and feels like you.

    Amazing Service

    We had such a great experience with Lex for our wedding! From the beginning, he made the whole planning process easy and really took the time to understand the vibe we wanted for our day. The music was one of the best parts of the night. Lex kept the dance floor going, played a great mix for everyone, and did an amazing job reading the crowd. Our guests were dancing all night and we had so many people tell us afterward how much fun they had. Lex was professional, easy to work with, and made everything feel stress-free. You can tell he genuinely cares about making sure his couples have an amazing wedding.     Alex was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, he had great communication and made the entire process so smooth and stress-free. He was professional, responsive, and so easy to work with. And the music?! Banger after banger all night! 🔥🎶 He absolutely understood the vibe we were going for and kept the music flowing perfectly. I personally was out on that dance floor all night long 😂💃🏽, and I had an absolute blast! We are so happy we chose Alex to DJ our wedding. He helped make our night so much fun and memorable. Highly recommend him for any event! ❤️

    Alex aka DJ Lex was our DJ at the Barker Tavern and he was absolutely amazing!! He was the talk of the dance floor. He was able to get the crowd going and up out of their seats!! He also transitioned the songs so perfectly, I couldn't ask for a more splendid night and all props to him for making our special day so wonderful!!!

When you book Lex Musiq, you’re booking me personally. I’m involved from our first conversation through the final song of your wedding. After years of building Toast to That Entertainment and producing hundreds of celebrations across New England, I created Lex Musiq for couples who want a more personal, hands-on DJ experience. I combine thoughtful planning, confident MCing, live mixing and reading the room to create a celebration that feels like you—not a pre-planned playlist I use every weekend.
Open-format, polished and completely tailored to the room. I’m comfortable moving between R&B, Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Latin, House, Pop, throwbacks, classics and everything in between. I don't believe a great wedding should sound like one genre all night. My job is to understand your taste, read your guests and connect generations and styles in a way that keeps the dance floor moving naturally.
Absolutely. Your music preferences are a major part of the planning process. You'll have an online planning portal where you can share must-plays, special songs and anything you don't want to hear. I can also take requests from guests during the celebration when appropriate. I treat requests as suggestions rather than automatically playing everything—the goal is always to protect the energy of your dance floor while staying true to your vision.
Yes. I can provide audio and music throughout your celebration, including the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Ceremony service includes professional sound and microphones along with coordination of your processional, recessional and other important musical moments. The goal is a seamless experience from your guests' arrival through the final song.
Yes. Beyond DJ and MC services, Lex Musiq offers enhancements including wireless uplighting, dance floor lighting, custom monograms, dancing on the clouds, photo booth experiences and a 360 video booth. Depending on your package, some enhancements may already be included, and we can customize the experience around your venue and vision.
It starts long before the wedding. I want to understand your personalities, your guests, your musical backgrounds and what you want the night to feel like. You'll have a dedicated planning portal for your music and key moments, and we'll connect personally before the wedding. I use that preparation as the foundation, then read the room and mix live so the night can evolve naturally.
Absolutely. Open-format mixing is a major part of what I do. A night might move through R&B, Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Latin, Caribbean, House, Pop, throwbacks and classics without feeling disconnected. For multicultural weddings, we'll also talk about the music and traditions that matter to each family so both sides of the room feel represented.
Yes. DJ and MC services work together throughout the celebration. My MC style is polished, confident and intentional. I'll make the announcements needed to guide your guests through the evening and create energy when appropriate, without turning your wedding into a performance about the DJ.
Very. After booking, we'll connect so I can learn more about you and your vision. You'll also receive access to my online planning system where you can organize music, formalities and important details. As we get closer, we'll finalize everything together so I arrive knowing not just your timeline, but how you want the celebration to feel.
Definitely. You don't need to show up with a 100-song playlist. Tell me what you love, what you don't, a few artists or songs that represent you, and the atmosphere you're trying to create. I'll help build the musical direction from there. Part of hiring an experienced DJ is being able to trust them with the songs you didn't know you needed.
That's where reading the room matters. I'm constantly watching how your guests respond and adjusting—genre, era, tempo, familiarity and energy. Sometimes the right move isn't playing a bigger song; it's changing direction completely. Years of performing for different crowds have taught me how to recognize those moments quickly instead of forcing a playlist that isn't connecting.
Lex Musiq offers several ways to elevate the experience beyond DJ and MC services, including wireless uplighting, dance floor lighting, custom monograms, dancing on the clouds, photo booth experiences and a 360 video booth. We'll determine which enhancements actually complement your venue and vision rather than adding things simply for the sake of adding them.
I'm based in New England and regularly work throughout the region, but Lex Musiq isn't limited to New England. I'm available for destination weddings as well. If your celebration requires travel, tell me where we're going and I can create a proposal based on the location and logistics.
I intentionally take on a limited number of Lex Musiq weddings. Because you're booking me personally, I want to make sure every couple receives the attention and preparation their celebration deserves. If your date is important to you, I recommend reaching out early to check availability.
Absolutely. A great wedding works best when the vendor team works together. I'll coordinate with your planner, venue, photographer, videographer and other key vendors to make sure everyone is aligned on timing and important moments. If the timeline needs to shift during the reception, I'll communicate with the team so we can adjust without your guests ever feeling like something changed.
That's one of my favorite parts of DJing weddings. A great dance floor doesn't have to choose between your friends and your family. I use familiar records, different eras and genres to bring generations together, then build from what the room responds to. The goal isn't just a packed dance floor for 20 minutes—it's creating moments throughout the night where everyone feels like the music was meant for them.
Once you're officially booked, we'll connect so I can get to know you beyond what's written on a questionnaire. You'll also receive access to my online planning portal, where we'll organize your music, formalities and important details. As the wedding approaches, we'll reconnect to finalize everything together. By wedding day, my goal is for you to feel like I already understand the celebration you want—so you can enjoy it instead of managing your DJ.
Yes. When you book Lex Musiq, you're booking me personally. I don't book your wedding and then assign another DJ to your date. From our initial conversations and planning through your wedding day, I'm the person you'll be working with and the DJ behind the booth. That's one of the biggest reasons I created Lex Musiq—to offer a more personal experience where you actually know who will be responsible for your celebration.
