About Angela Merlano Dance

Angela Merlano

Hello beautiful couple! I am Angela Merlano, I am a professional dancer based in Colorado. I instruct, perform, and lead a few groups in the arts, including two dance groups and a Middle Eastern music collective. One of my favorite things about dance is how it expresses what words cannot, which is why it makes your big day so special! The styles I instruct and perform include ballroom, Latin dance, belly dance, samba, folkloric dance, jazz, ballet, and more! I currently teach out of a studio space called Studio 8, choreograph for South Suburban's Academy of Dance, and I am the professor of the belly dance course at MSU Denver.

As a performer, I offer a myriad of styles for your big day. From Egyptian dance to modern Latin rhythms, I create an unforgettable experience for guests. Most performers only fit in the reception, but I can fit anywhere – a Turkish-inspired tea time/cocktail hour with my band playing relaxing lounge music, a fun Henna party, a bridal shower, and of course, the reception too. As an instructor, I'm committed to making your first dance(s) feel like YOU. I can work with any style of music to bring your vision to life, whether a solo or duet. I am comfortable in troupe settings, and can help perfect a bridesmaid/groomsmen surprise dance, too!

The Perfect First Dance

Description

Tailored for couples anywhere between "two left feet" and dance experts, this package includes 8 dance lessons and a beautiful choreography that encapsulates you and makes guests swoon. Belly Dance Show

Mini Belly Dance Show

For lower budgets, I can offer a smaller set for up to 10 minutes of dance. This is perfect to end the first dance section of the reception and get the party going, or for a surprise performance during your event.

For dance lessons/choreography, I require a down payment of at least $75 to cover the time I spend choreographing on my own. The rest of the fee can be paid as you go, as it's $65 per dance lesson with a $45 rental for the studio on top.
You can remove the studio space fee to save $45 per session and I can meet you virtually or at your home. If so, I do recommend clearing an area of your home to ensure comfort during the lesson.
If travel fees are covered, I can really go anywhere. We can discuss mileage/fees separately and add it to your down payment. For lessons, I prefer to not commute over 15 miles, and can offer virtual coaching in that circumstance.
